Ordered my normal size first, way too large. Called and spoke with representative, she told me to order one size smaller and that the medium width that I normally order should be fine. Finally received the replacement pair, still too large, too wide in the back half of the shoe.

I'm sure the product was top notch. I ordered some(Duck boots) many years ago(long before the Internet). The problem was with the handling and service. I placed my order around Thanksgiving and returned the boots before Christmas and of course it takes time to process. I understand it's the busy time of the year. After having the return three weeks you would think they would be more proactive.
Once the package was received I had to reach out to L.L.Bean for a status update. Then they told me they don't offer half sizes and it would be available until April. I just requested a refund. Not sure if I want to go through this process anytime soon if ever again!

Started out with a 10 (my shoe size) and it was too big. Exchanged for a size 9 and it was too big. I guess I'll try a size 8 and see what I get. Very surprised these run SO large. My advice on this shoe is start out with two sizes smaller than you usually wear and go from there.

Purchased this rubber Moc and the shoe was way to big and much to wide even though I ordered the size I normally wear in other boots and shoes. Must send back to LL Bean and secure proper size or refund.

I pretty normally wear an 11 wide. In fact if you know them I just got a pair of Merrels on line at 11 wide and they fit like a glove. I would almost say the 11 wide's I just received were closer to a size 13. When I tried them on I had a 1/2 inch of shoe behind my heal.

Every shoe I own is a 13EE. I ordered a pair of these boots in size 13EE and they are way too big. I reordered in size 12EE still, WAY too big. Too long and too wide. someone from LLBean needs to go back to school and learn how to measure. I will review the performance of the boot if I ever get to wear one.

Tried these to replace a pair of gum shoes I enjoyed for a couple decades. I don't understand how these would stay on anyone's feet for anything other than a walk on level pavement or how all the exposed leather lacing is going to hold up. Returned in hope that the gumshoes will return in wide widths.

But my feet flop around in them. I wear a size 12 in everything but these. So reading size info I bought the 11's. I figured o'well I'm just going to have to live with them. Two sizes smaller would of been better.

I wanted to buy a pair of mud shoes for my husband. I noticed that there were sizing issues so I contacted LL Bean. My husband normally takes a 10 wide. The associate suggested that I order a 9 W. They were far too long. I ordered an 8 W. They were also too long. We went to a LL Bean retail store and tried on the 7W. They were also too long. The associate suggested that he try a women's size. At this point he was far too aggravated and wanted to leave. How can a shoe be that far off? If the sizing is that far off, why don't they re-label them to the correct size. Isn't there a standard stay for these shoes. This experience with LL Bean was ridiculous!

I wear a size 101/2 to an 11. The first 2 pairs I ordered were like clown shoes. So like a fool I ordered 2 more pairs size 9. Of course I was required to pay for all 4 pairs of shoes. My size 9s arrived today. I can put both feet in one shoe. What JUNK. You might think after 100 years this company could figure out how to size a shoe. Currently I purchased 4 pairs of this garbage. My for the first 2 pairs that they received 5 days ago has yet to be refunded. I'm returning these tomorrow. NO MORE LL Bean Junk. I want my money refunded

Not happy with product - not true to size. Paid to have shipped back and instead of a credit on my debit card, received a gift card. Not happy!

This is not your father's rubber moc. First, Bean has replaced the lace eyelets with a single flimsy strand of leather. And the tongue now fits OVER the sides of the shoe. There is no way to lace the shoe up tight, and that's a problem, because the shoes are at least two sizes too big. And there is no way the laces will last because they loop around that single flimsy strand which is sure to break sooner rather than later. Look closely at the pictures in the ad. This moc may be ok for laying around the deck, but it's no good for walking, mowing, etc. I returned it for exchange. Now been almost four weeks, and haven't seen the replacement moc yet.

Absolutely the worst fitting shoe I have ever purchased. They are made with quality goods but the fit is terrible. I wear a 13 and after reading reviews I ordered a 12.They fit good in length. But they fit good thru the toes to the ball of foot. Then it's just flopping lined leather with zero heel cup. Almost border line dangerous to walk in due to possibility of rolling an ankle. Wouldn't buy these online and only in the store for correct fit if possible. Have purchased other Bean boots with full satisfaction thru the years.

Because they run large, I ordered a size smaller. Then another size smaller. No matter the size, the heel is made to be wide and sloppy. So it's like walking in flip-flops, with your heel coming out of the shoe with each step. Not a good experience! I had to return both pairs that I had ordered online.

I normally wear a size 10 wide. I ordered a size 9 but even that is too large. Maybe a size 8 would fit in length.
The width is problematic as well. A medium width is wider than the wide size I normally order.
Very frustrating and time consuming

Not for my husband. They were way too big so he returned them. He normally wears a 10 wide, but these were huge.

I have been a LL Bean customer for many years and have always loved their products. I must say I am very disappointed in this product. First of all the fit was horrible I bought a size smaller than normal, The toe was too narrow and the heel to wide how can LL Bean not get this right they have been making shoes and boots for many years. Secondly, how can LL Bean think that a piece of leather lace weaved throughout the shoe then attached to a flimsy leather tongue would actually hold the boot in place on your foot didn't someone try them on? Every step I took I thought I was going to walk right of the boot. In addition, since the toe is narrow my feet hurt after 10 minutes of wear. I owned a pair of cheap Redhat boots that were far more comfortable at a 1/4 of the cost. I just can't believe that quality control would look at these boots and say to themselves we got it, far from it. I have returned them and ordered a pair of the storm chasers which I hope are better if not its my last purchase from LL Bean. Incidentally, I had to pay the $6.50 to return them also. Needless to say I am very disappointed with the design and I think the boots are a flawed product.

You said to order smaller than what you would normally wear. I wear a 12 and went to a 10. They were still too big but I could not go to a 9 because my toes would be jammed to the end of shoe. This is very frustrating trying to find in soles for the shoes and may have to return.

Wear size 12 but purchased size 11 as per llbean. These were way too big still. Returned for a size 10. These still slipped in heal. Tried to fix problem by tightening laces which didn't help. Sent them back for refund.

I would love to have a pair of these boots (they are just what I need) however I take a men's size 8 medium shoe and the smallest these boots come in is a size 7 which are at least 2 sizes too large. I don't understand why these boots cannot be made to fit a person who takes a size 8 medium shoe. I live in Georgia and heavy winter socks are not an option but even with heavy socks they are way too big. Very disappointed and returned them.

My husband and I have been looking for moccasins to wear outside while we are doing yard work. We noticed that you were finally selling a pair. We both ordered a pair knowing the quality would be good coming from your company. When the moccasins arrived they not constructed correctly and you walked right out of them. We even went down a whole size like we were told. We took them back to the LL bean store and tried on an even smaller pair and they did the same thing. The sales clerk in your store said he has heard a lot of complaints about these moccasins. We are very disappointed that LL Bean would not have truly tested these before selling them to the public. Please let us know when you re-engineer these moccasins as the quality was nice but not the design.
Thanks

I would have loved to purchase this shoe however I could only suggest that a 10 wide was actually sized as an 11/12 "EEEE". Although you suggested wearing heavy socks, I would have had to wear 2 or 3 pair. Too bad-where in the world were these shoes manufactured.
