25 years ago I was right out of school and wearing bright white sneakers with my suit to walk to work in NYC. I came in to work one morning and there was a brand new pair of 6" Bean boots on my chair. The guy next door who was my dad's age had taken pity and decided I looked like a fool and needed proper footwear. He said they were a gift on the condition that I wore dress shoes on nice days, the Bean boots on inclement days and threw out the sneakers. He said they would last forever and after 25 years, the only sign of wear is in the soles, yet they still have years of life ahead of them. Stopping by a Bean store, I decided to pick up a pair of these 8" boots for clearing larger snowfalls and they are as amazing as ever. Incredible quality, do exactly what they are meant to do in an understated, yet oddly stylish way, are US made and built to actually last a lifetime in reality, not just in a marketing tagline. These are the only boots you will ever need to buy in your lifetime and they would be a bargain at 3 times the price. There are few things in life you can say this about. Do not hesitate to buy these.

I got these boots after returning a pair that were too big for me and they fit much better. I've gotten several compliments on the look and they've been keeping me warm in below freezing weather in normal socks.

Just love these boots! I am in my 7th decade and have always wanted a pair of these. Top quality, handmade by "Rachel". Love the color, too. Bought the equivalent in men's sizes when I saw the color and the sale price. They came in handy this January with the Virginia snow!

Comfortable, but hard to get foot into the gauntlet, need a long shoehorn to get them on. Once on, they fit perfect. It is getting more and more easy to get them on. These are an exchange pair. The first pair, the opening was WAY too small to get into. The customer service department is very easy to deal with. The quality of the boots is great. Haven't had a chance to try these in the snow yet as he are having a late snow season here in North Idaho.. I do have the leather and stitching snow sealed, so we will see.

Superior quality, and runs just a bit too large. Ordered a size down.

I needed a new pair of LL Bean boots for the winter. I purchased a pair of teal and orange soles when they went on sale. So happy with them and put them to work in our first snowfall. They were up to the task and so stylish!! Thanks LL BeanJohn

Excellent boots in bad weather. This is not my first pair of these boots as they are excellent to wear in wet weather..

These classic boots have kept our family of 7 warm and cozy on our jaunts through the woods behind our house, the TN and NC mountains, and Citadel football games, as well as making star appearances in our annual Mepkin Abbey Christmas Creche Festival boot picture. They fit well, feel good, and last forever. I have the ones my children have outgrown and am keeping them for when the grandbabies' feet are big enough to wear them.

Fit is true to size, I'm glad I didn't size down as recommended. I've been wearing Bean boots for forty years and this pair doesn't disappoint. There is no seam in the back anymore which eliminates the rubbing on my heel making them so much more comfortable! I wear them all year round.

I bought my boots on Dec 31. I went by the fit chart and bought size eight D. In boots I usually wear a size nine D. The boots came quickly, to my surprise, as I live on the other side of the country (Idaho). I pulled one boot out of the box to try it on. I looked over the quality of the boot, it looked exclent. Tried to get my foot in the boot. I couldn't get it past the gauntlet no matter what I did. I packed the boot back up in the box(carefully), filled out the return slip in the box and dropped them off at the UPS store the next day. I called L.L. Bean customer service just to give them a heads up. They are very pleasant to deal with. I went ahead and placed an order that night for a size 9.5 M. I'm glad I did. Even though I usually wear a size ten in boots I thought if the 9.5 were too big, I could exchange them for a size 9. Glad I ordered the 9.5.when these came today (1/13/25) I unpacked one boot to try it on. Guess what same problem getting past the gauntlet! Ioticed that there was a buckle point in the leather where it makes contact with the rubber bottom. I retrieved my boot shoe horn and used it. My foot slid right in. With my heel all the way back in the boot, I have about 1/8" in the toePERFECT! I am going to get some 6mm felt insouls to place under the Been insouls. I'm sure they will make a perfect fit at that time. We have no snow on the ground at this time, but the Temperature is 30 degrees F. My feet are comfortable..

At first, I was hesitant if I needed to get these boots as I don't often find myself in mud, rain, or otherwise. I bit the bullet and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I use them. Previously, I would use athletic shoes and always lament how wet my socks got and how cold my feet would be. Any time there is inclement weather in the forecast, I find myself reaching for these shoes. They were very comfortable the moment I put them on, and they have kept my feet, and socks, nice and dry no matter what I find myself stepping into outside. Cannot recommend these enough!

Comfortable fit and keeps my feet warm all day long

I bought my first pair of Bean Boots when I was 18 years old55 years ago. I now own a pair of 12", one pair of 8"-both uninsulated and an 8" pair lined with sheepskin. Yeah, I'm a Bean man, my father was a Bean man as was his father. You can't go wrong with LL Beanor their Bean Boots. Thanks to you all at LL Bean!

I wear size 11.5 dress shoes, size 12 tennis shoes, size 11.5 casual boots... this is my first pair of Bean Boots, I was tempted to buy size 10.5, but, went with the size 11.0's.... that was a mistake, they were huge. Returned them for size 10.5, which fit perfectly with thick socks. Quality appears to be very good, have yet to wear them outside, currently walking around in the house in them to break 'em a bit.

Fantastic boots for anything from trekking through muddy woods to shuffling down snowy sidewalks or splashing in puddles with my toddler! Purchased the unlined and uninsulated style for year-round wear. Even in winter snow my feet stay warm with a pair of Darn Tough wool socks (as long as I'm not out for hours). I usually wear a size 9D boot so I got an 8D Bean Boot and the fit is perfect. After a year of wear they are holding up fantastically and I anticipate many more years to come!

They're still the same quality boot you expect. Great craftsmanship that can't be found anywhere else.
