Lightweight and comfortable. A little hard to put on but other than that they're great. I ordered a half size smaller and it worked out perfectly.

About 20 years ago, I bought my husband a pair of these boots and he wore them frequently for two decades until finally they started to wear out. He loved them so I just bought him a new version of the same thing. He loves the new ones right away as well! Actually, he's wearing both pairs alternately for a little while since it is hard to say goodbye to the old ones. Thank you L.L. Bean!

Fits well, quite comfortable. The inside is very soft and comfortable.

Made by hand, in America, for over 100 years that's quality! I am a size 10 shoe, so I followed the advice of L.L. and purchased a size 9 it is the correct thing to do. Wear thick socks and you are good to go ! This is actually my second pair. The first pair were going strong (for 30 years ) then they were stolen from the back of my truck . So, needed a new pair. Without hesitation, I ordered the new pair! Extremely satisfied with this product. (When I marked 'True to size' below, I do mean buy them a size smaller than your shoe size.)

These boots were worn heavily in the 80s and 90s then went dormant for 15 years or so until I picked them up for soggy ground use. Leakproof and enough sole to get by, may one day need repairs but 40 years of stories to tell. They feel great and fill a very specific use category. Well built and not disappointed.

I've been wearing Bean Boots for over 40 years. My grandpa wore them, so did my dad, and I do too. I heard about a few improvements in the Bean Boots and it made me curious to buy a new pair. The leather is thick and soft, it feels like I have had these boots for years. The new insole makes the boot more comfortable and wearing them the whole day, it gives me the support much needed to be comfortable in them. The boot laces seem to be stronger as well. Congrats, you guys overdid yourselves!

I have worked on golf courses for the past 45 years in the area of maintenance and Bean Boots have been the only footwear I have worn. From wet dewy mornings to torrential downpours, I can count on my Bean Boots to keep my feet dry and comfortable.

My husband has wanted a pair of duck boots for awhile. We bought another brand and they didn't go the distance. We choose to go with this brand because it was highly recommended.

I have a pair of LL Bean gumshoes that I purchased in Freeport Maine in 1986. They are still in great shape, but the chainlink sole is starting to wear. If these boots last as long I will be extremely happy. The fit is True, Order one size smaller than you usually wear. They seem to be made as well as my gumshoes.

I have enjoyed this boot since my first pair in 1970.

I own quite a few Duck Shoes, but these really stand out with their Teal and Orange Rubber Soles. The textured leather Upper is also a nice touch.

Bean boots never disappoint. Comfortable with thicker socks.

Seems waterproof so far we had a nasty snow/rain storm and I was shoveling in about an inch or more of water. These held up nicely, hoping to get many years of use! I got the uninsulated ones for year-round use and I was a bit worried they wouldn't be warm enough in winter, but even in 20 degree weather and normal socks they are solid. As long as they hold up the way Bean Boots should, I'll be very happy.

I have been wanting a pair of BEAN BOOTS for a while and finally pulled the trigger on the 8" uninsulated boot . I normally wear a size 12 but in this boot I ordered a size 11 per the recomendations from the folks at L.L. BEAN . I am using a thick sock and this boot fits like a glove . I still have about an inch and a half in the toe area and the standard width is adequate . This boot is comfortable right out of the box and I can see it's going to break in nicely . Quality is superb and this boot exudes fine craftsmanship . The leather smells like a saddle shop and is beautiful . Suffice it to say I am very happy with this purchase and look forward to using these boots for years to come .

My husband has a fused ankle and needs quality shoes and boots. These boots are a good fit for him.

Hight quality boot but it does run about one size too large

Excellent, classic boots, great for cold weather as well as cold, wet weather. My son got these by request as he spends a lot of time in our unheated garage, and these keep his feet warm and comfortable. He's very happy with these boots.

Really impressed with these boots, bought them almost a month ago and wear them for anything now. I normally wear an 11, however I fit perfectly into an 8. Couldn't recommend them enough!
