Got these for my husband for his birthday, he absolutely loves them. They need a little bit of breaking in, but once the are, theyre very comfortable. I have a pair myself! Walking in rain or snow, my feet were completely dry!

Always been pleased with all the Bean boots Ive purchased. Bonus is that they are still made in the USA.

I was a little concerned that it was recommended that size 8 1/2 I should go to size 7 and it did seem a little tight for a first couple of days. After a few days it was very comfortable. I was very impressed with how comfortable it was after standing and walking all day. This my new favorite boot. I even wear it when its not raining. Lol

Ive worn LLB Duck boots for 50 years, and this pair is my all-time favorite! The color combination; orange soles, black boot and brown leather upper has no comparison.

I bought these because somehow my old pair had been lost during the last move we made. I normally wear a size 10 1/2 shoe and that always gives me a great fit. The LLB boot fitment guidelines recommended that if I wore a 10 1/2 shoe I should order these boots in size 9 if I wore wore light weight socks. Yes, it said to order a downsize of 1 1/2. because there are no half sizes in these boots. That seemed bizarre to me so I ordered a size 10 which should have been on the roomy side of fitting my feet instead of a recommended size 9. UPS delivered them yesterday and I tried them on this morning. and they were too tight and I wasn't really surprised because I do wear size 10 1/2 shoes. The sizing fit guidance was wrong, but there was another issue to deal with. The amount of full width leather they put where you normally encounter a tongue in other types of boots and between the two rows of shoe lace grommets is excessive between the instep and ankle. This causes a loose uncomfortable area when laced up. I needed to over tighten the laces at the top to prevent my foot from moving around. Uncomfortable, and I think it would have caused me blisters! Suggestion for LLB. Make these boots in half sizes. If size 10 1/2 were made they would have fit me and I would have been able to keep them. My last pair of these LLB Boots were great. Unfortunately, these had to go back.

I've been buying Bean boots for over forty years and have always been happy with the quality of the product, how it fits, and how well it holds up. (I have multiple pairs in different colors.) I just purchased my nephew's first pair, and he's very happy with how the boots fit and how well the boots're made. This is a great value for the price.

Great winter boot, very comfortable, wear them as much as I can. Enough room to wear thick socks when its cold, but still comfortable when wearing regular socks

Ordering a size lower than I wear worked well for me. I wear a size 10 boot and I ordered a 9.

I love these boots. I was thinking about not getting them because of the price but they are totally worth it. They feel good and I can even run with my dog in them. Also I took the advice of another reviewer that mentioned ordering them a size smaller for a better fit. That is the way to go. They run large.

love it, still breaking it in though. I took their advice on sizing and went one down as I don't anticipate wearing it with heavy wool socks, but still there's some play for a sock of medium thickness. only reason I removed a star is that the play worries me a little. otherwise stoked about them

The instructions state if you are a 9 1/2 shoe go down one size on the boot and on another set of instructions it says to go up one size. MAYBE it is me, but I found it confusing re-sizing boots that's why i returned them they were just too tight

I purchased the basic 8" bean boot size 14. Mainly for snow and rain occasions. I read a ton of reviews and even went on to YouTube and watched videos of people reviewing these boots. I normally wear a size 14 so I was concerned if they would fit or if I needed to upsize as recommended. I am comfortable in the size and have adequate room. I read where many people wear multiple socks for warmth in these but the few times I word them in extreme cold temperatures I had on a wool dock and felt comfortable. They're not uncomfortable but they are not comfortable to me either. I will replace the inserts with a more comfortable set soon. Keep in mind I weigh 370 pounds so there is some "extra" pressure on these dawgs. Quality looks great and the only thing I did before use was condition leather uppers. Boots seem to have enough grip on soles as I did not have any issues slipping on asphalt when clearing snow. These are not fashion or everyday boots for me. I bought them to keep my feet dry and so far so good. I would recommend these to anyone looking for s good quality boot. Do your research on various styles and there is some great videos online to point you in the best direction based on your needs. Appreciate the fact it's made in America too. Located in Perrysburg Ohio.

This is my third pair of these boots and I currently have the ankle height shoes as well. Absolutely love them. Thats why I keep buying them.

The quality is as good as advertised Its good to be able to buy American Made

2nd pair after 7 years wear them almost every day! Great boot, little break in time. Would not be without a pair.

I'm just getting around to writing this review because my other winter boots finally failed, and I was forced to wear the Bean boots again. The other boots were a pair of [redacted] from the late 90's and they were laid to rest after the rubber lowers failed beyond repair. Note they never separated from the leather uppers, unlike our friend here. Within the first season of light use, these Bean boots separated at the leather upper / rubber lower junction. I see many others have had the same issue. Now they're my only pair of winter boots, so I can't ship them back and be without them for the season. I'm forced to wear waterproof socks with the boots when I'm in snow. My hopes were high when I purchased these, and they've unfortunately been nothing but a disappointment. Sizing: Size one full size down from your Vans, if you're buying the unlined version. The fit with waterproof socks will be great, until the rubber digs into your ankle bone.

These boots fit a bit bigger than yourse expect. Definitely size down. Also, I normally wear mens boots, but actually opt for the womens because I have a narrow heel. These are some of my favorite winter boots and would never go through a rainstorm or winter without them.

A must have for fans of the outdoors. Great fit. Great comfort. Great style. All with that LL Bean warranty, its a must have.

This boot does run a little big but is fine with two pair of medium to heavy socks. What I do not like is how uncomfortable they are around the ankles and that the tops are open by an inch or more.
