I bought a size 1 or so smaller than my shoe size. I like toe room. I have a narrow foot compared the the medium men's size. I wear 2 layers of socks to fill the boot and prevent any blisters. I like the fact I can wash the boots off with a hose. These are perfect for working around my farmette.

We have 5 pairs of Bean Boots in our 4-person house. They keep our feet comfortable and dry, even in the worst weather. The sizing is a little weird, but talk to customer service on the phone or in a store and they are great at explaining how to order the appropriate size. Many people do not seem to know that if your soles wear out (ours did after years of use) but the rest of the boot is in good shape, that you can get new soles put on by LL Bean for about $40. We just had two pairs of boots resoled and it is like getting new boots for $40 per pair. As expected, the LL Bean repair folks keep you informed during the process and they did an amazing job. Definitely worth it if you like the boots you have but the sole has worn flat.

On my Xth pair now - still love them, from the Canadian Arctic (74 degrees N Lat) to the Gulf of Mexico. -- Size is a bit tricky, but the L.L. Bean sale staff were awesome helping me figure it out (I am a Narrow, but a N Bean Boot did not work). The website forced me to give answers about size, but it can be more complicated. -- Plan on insoles! For serious Cold Weather, these boots are Great, IF you use the right insoles. -- PLEASE, Keep the Mens Hunting Shoe in the catalog. Plain, simple, not lined until the buyer puts her/his own choice of lining into it. Thanks!!

This is the second pair of this type boot I have purchased from LLBean. The boot lives up to its reputation and value. The first pair of boots lasted 15 years before they wore out. No other boot compares for the quality these boots are. Best Buy for your money!

This is the best fitting boot i have ever bought ,by far

I've had several pair, love them!! I've even sent an old pair back for new soles, they looked like new again when I got them back! Now my son is wearing all pairs and loves them. So I bought him his own!! However, as I warned him, they run big!!! So now I need to exchange them but don't have a shipping label! Please help!

I live in Louisiana where we have lots of rain. Humidity is usually high. Grass seems to stay wet unless we have a short drought. These are my go to boots when our yard is like walking on a wet sponge. They are maybe not as dry as knee high rubber boots but more comfortable. I use an OTC orthotic insole for extra comfort. I have three pairs of LL Bean boots - these uninsulated ones, some quick on quick off versions with no laces and some Gore-Tex lined insulated ones that are 20 years old and still going strong. When it is wet outside use these. If it is cold and wet use the insulated ones. I usually purchase 11 1/2 Wide for Chinese made boots or tennis shoes and 45.5 wide cycling shoes. For these I bought 10 wide and they fit fine.

The website is easy to navigate, the boots were shipped without delay, the product is high quality fit, finish and comfort. My new Bean Boots will be my all-weather go-to footwear for hunting, fishing and gardening.

Purchased them for my grandson in college and this is the second pair he's owned and he loves them.

I go these for my son and he loves them says they are very comfortable and the fit is perfect.

I have been wearing Bean Boots for the past 50 years (this is my third pair) and yes, they last that long. The sizing recommendation on the internet was helpful.

This boot is very comfortable. Order one size down from the actual size that you wear. So far, excellent quality and definitely waterproof.

I am sure plenty of other reviews have mentioned the quality of these boots. I agree with those sentiments, as I have had the rubber bottoms on my boots replaced once since they were purchased a couple of years ago. However, I would like to point out the versatility of these boots. Sure, I wear them almost daily once winter rolls around. But these boots can clean up nice in a business casual setting. They also are useful for a fall or spring day when I am stomping through shallow streams and boggy areas in search of trout. If you're in the market for a solid multi-use boot, these are the ones for you.

Purchased for my brother for his birthday - he loves them!

I love these boots - totally waterproof and also comfortable. I was also considering Sorels, but they felt like ballons on my feet in comparison. My foot feels more connected to the ground in the bean boots, and warm enough. I replaced the stock insoles with felt insoles and they became more breatheable. I've worn in snow/slush for a month now and love them. The boots run large - my review says 'half size too large' just to point out that you typically need to order the next size down from your regular.

My husband asked Santa for these Bean Boots. He was so delighted to get them that he has planned exactly when and where he will wear them

They are a good quality. My son loves them. He said these are his go to shoes. keep his feet dry and are comfortable

My parents are from Maine, they moved away many years ago and this past Christmas my dad told me he wanted a pair of Duck boots as he never had a pair! We were incredulous and ordered a pair right away! He wears a size 8 1/2 but we ordered a 9 thinking he will wear thick socks with them! They fit perfect and he was so happy!!

Everyone loves a dry feet in rain and on snow. I used it once at Sierra mountain and cannot complain. My first LL bean duck shoes and will reccomend to friends and family. However no guaranteed that it will last forever.

The boots are comfortable and waterproof. L.L. Bean said in their description that the boots run large. Wearing a size 14 I found that hard to believe, but it was true! I returned the size 14 and re-ordered a size 13 and they fit perfectly.

I own several pairs of Bean Boots. Pros: Excellent quality, durability, and value. Cons: None. Notes: The sizing instructions provided are accurate. The boots run a bit large, so most comfortable when worn with heavy socks.

I bought these as a Christmas present for my son-in-law and he wore them Christmas Day and several other days in Colorado while I was still there. He liked everything about them. Fit, feel, etc.

I bought these boots as a Christmas gift for my fiance. He LOVES them. He has been less grumpy going outside in the rain for the last several weeks, and he wears them whenever he has the opportunity. I also have a bear of the Bean Boots and I have had them for several years. They're so incredibly well-made, warm, comfortable, and durable. I would buy these again and again if I had to, but they uphold so well that I don't have to!!!!! HIGHLY recommend.
