I noted that they were slightly too large lengthwise, but not uncomfortably so, I wear a 10-10.5 so I buy my bean boots in a 9 wide and length has always been a little longer than needed, but not noticeable in form or function. Nothing else needs to be said, these are the classic duck boot and they perform well and age even better.

Purchased my second pair to replace my 8 year old pair. Sized using the suggested "one size smaller" which is great for my 10.5 feet with athletic socks. The original pair lost the waterproof function when the stitching between the rubber and the leather wore out. New stitching could make them useable again, but it has been eight years.

Received a pair for Christmas in 2018. I have hunted quail and waterfowl in the Mid-South (East Tennessee & Southwest Va) region with these around marshes and fields and they have held up considerably well. If you are going to be around marshy and wet areas where the leather could get submerged make sure you clean well with saddle soap or a good leather conditioner. Very comfortable after long days of walking behind a bird dog or just walking down main street. Buy a pair, you won't be disappointed.

LL Bean makes the best boots. Period. My 'old' pair just bit the dust after 24 years of wear.

I've always eyed Bean boots but for some reason never got motivated to purchase them. Part of that is in Texas we don't have cold/wet weather like other locales but we can get soggy, and this winter we had some legit winter weather. So, after a lot of reading I bought the 8" chamois lined version. I almost always wear 10.5 in everything, very rarely an 11. Bought these in 10 and they are perfect in width, maybe just a touch long with thin socks and with thick socks they are spot-on. The tumbled leather is sharp and the chamois lining is cozy. And holy cow are these things comfortable. I didn't know what to expect and with the rubber lower I thought it might be rain-boot-like...nope. Amazing. I wish I had bought these a decade ago.

Very well made and designed boots they are comfortable in both light weight and medium weight socks with room for a heavier sock if necessary! Warm enough for me to be outside in deep snow and temps below 20! Good grip for slippery surfaces and comfortable to just walk around in! Five stars!!!

Before I buy anything, I spend about a month researching and talking to people about the product I am interested in. After much research, I bought these bean boots. I decided to go with the uninsulated pair so that I could wear them year round. Just double up with some wool in the winter months. I just wore them on a pretty serious hike in the woods today (afterwards receiving an email to review them). I was head over heels for them the day I got them. Rarely do you find a product anymore that is worth the money you pay, and with these, you get a good solid product. They have already been through deep cold snow, water above the rubber bottoms with no leaking, and getting lost in the woods along muddy slippery trails when falling would have meant serious repercussions. I know they are not necessarily hiking boots, but they are for tromping around the woods in Maine, so they are for sure good enough for Brown County, Indiana. Spending my summer as a boy in the woods of Rangeley, Maine, having these boots means more than owning an awesome boot. It's a classic nostalgic rugged tool that I will wear until my children have to figure out what to do with them after I'm gone.

Son has loved these this winter. Well made, durable and good looking.

If you're thinking about getting something form ll bean. Go for it you won't be disappointed and if you don't like what you ordered send back for what you want. Great people will help you if you call. I ordered 6inch boots medium wide, I needed the narrow pair, made a phone call got help. New pair of boots in two days. I love this company. No problems with anything else I've ordered form them

Have worn the gum sole boots for over 40 years, and they are still made in the USA.

These are the 5th pair of bean boots in the household, some are old and beat and still perform just like this new pair. I'm sure they will last just as long and look even better with age. Like many leather goods, they have a wear in period, so they come stiff and get softer and more supple with use. No complaints here, will continue to wear bean boots for a long time to come.

Boots were a great fit and love the quality.

Great product!!! Made in America is a 50% buying factor, durable materials the other 50%. Fit is a bit tuff, due to stiff leather & I'm sure as time goes by it will soften or I'll condition it with some 50 year old Bear Grease.

Our family's been buying these for years. So many kinds of people enjoy them because they're a classic, but cool and they work. We always get the unlined ones because you can wear them more months of the year. Adjust the thickness of your socks as needed. Water and snow never get through these and they're simply no maintenance.

Love the boots

Really like these boots. I am a ten and half size and I ended buying the original ones because the Gore-Tex didn't fit well and I tried various sizes. With thinner shocks they can be a little bit roomy but once you wear hiking or trekking socks they fit well. Overall very satisfied and they're very easy to clean.

We gave these to our son for Christmas. He loves them.They are great for casual winter wear.

What can I say? A classic for a reason. Comfortable straight out of the box. Waterproof, warm, stylish
