I purchase my Bean Boots, over 25 years ago, at the LL Bean outlet store, when we took a family vacation to Maine. They were marked as factory seconds - I could never figure out why, they seemed perfect to me. I wore them fairly regularly to include 13 months in Iceland and 9 years in Alaska. They were always my "go-to" footwear. Two years ago I realized the soles had no remaining tread and the rubber was getting stiff. The leather uppers are well broken-in and still in perfect condition. I sent them back to LL Bean and had a new lower put on. I upgraded to the Thinsulate bottoms and even went up one size. I also chose to have the eyelets replaced since years of salt took a toll on them. The cost to me was quite minimal. Now I have like-new boots with my well broken-in uppers. The workmanship is fantastic, they really are like new. I anticipate another 25 years of wear out of these boots. Show me another brand of boots that have lasted 25+ years of rugged use. I would HIGHLY recommend these boots. These are the greatest value for the money out there. Thank you LL Bean!

They run big. My son wears a size 11 and I had to return and get size 10 and they fit perfect. He said they are the most comfortable boots he has ever had.

We bought these for our grandson. Our family has worn bean boots for several years. They hold up well and are comfortable to wear.

Bought as a gift for a student in need. I don't know their thoughts on them but it was on their wishlist for these or a style like them and wanted to make sure they had Bean boots.

Fits well, comfortable, stitched good. Walked on packed snow with some ice, great traction. Just need thicker socks for colder weather.

Incredibly waterproof and comfortable LL Bean boots did their job during a trip to Northern Minnesota. The boots are tough and rugged and kept my feet dry. The boots are versatile to wear every day while taking on snow and water. Thank you LL Bean for creating these awesome boots!

My old pair was 41 years old, and just giving up the ghost. The new ones are every bit as satisfactory! I won't last another 41 years, but I expect the boots will.

Yes it's true order a full size smaller than normal. Quality is fantastic.

I didn't feel like I needed to break them in. Very high quality. I normally wear 10.5 or 11. The 10 fits me perfect with fairly thick socks and a wool insert. The only the I wish is that they were available on 9 in. I have a pair of Lacrosse in 9 in, but the soles are completely worn slick? And Lacrosse does not refurbish them.

Just as I remember them. Only more comfortable. I got my first pair at 16 and they finally wore out at 47. I hope I live long enough to need a third pair.

Was a little unsure when I first opened the box as the geometry of the tongue was very different then the usual boot. Once I got the boots laced up and put them on (took a small bit of effort) the fit was exact and comfortable. I realize that the tongue design greatly aids in keeping your feet dry. Great product and will definitely recommend them to anyone who asks!!! Made in the USA quality far outshines "copies" made elsewhere!!!

Seeems just as good as the last pair I have had for over 20 years. Sole's started to wear and one of the rear pull tabs broke from continious use of the old pair. Not bad.

I have a pair and my husband wanted a pair, he loves them! As stated always size up a half size or full size compared to your normal shoe size! Rain, snow, cold, it does it all!

They are gifts for my sons but they love them this is the second pair they've gotten

Absolutely fantastic boots. Made in Maine since forever. Why did I wait so long to buy these???

I bought 4 boots at the same time(I had very different needs). I had these when I was in my teens, lasted years. I put these on and I did NOT want to take them off they were so comfy! I have show dogs, so these boots are used to go in and out to the kennels, the size of the TABS make the boots make these boots super easy to get on. The one very min.downside is the insole is not glued in place, so it comes out if you have wet/no socks.

I've had a pair of Brown/Brown LL Bean boots since about 1987 and recently sent them to LL Ben to be resoled for the second time. I ordered a pair of new Tan/Brown LL Bean boots to have while my old ones are being resoled and I Love them! They are very comfortable and the quality is just as good as my old pair!

I like these boots. These are good boots. You should buy these boots.
