Love love love this jacket. Got this jacket and wear it everywhere. Got a petite large and able to layer underneath and pockets are oh so large. Folds up very small. Got to wear in Washington and it was good at 19 degrees with just a sweatshirt underneath. Going to buy another in a different color.

She absolutely loves this jacket. It is very warm and extremely light weight.

Great color and fit. I'm 5'5", 130 lbs and curvy. Great styling too.

I enjoyed my coat every now and again for 4 months. I did not hike nor spend much time outdoors but I think I did carry wood inside for a fire. In early March I realized that it was oozing feathers from the center front of the jacket 2 inches below the insignia. I tried to repair it but I made it worse AND the needle itself created problems with the material. I am sending the jacket back for a hoped for refund. (?) The pictures below show 1) a non-repaired hole near the zipper and 2) ) the repaired hole with some feathers that came out. For three years I have owned a similar jacket with smaller down pockets placed closer together and it wears just fine. The outer material of this 4-month old lovely jacket is too fragile for such a coat. llBean should be embarrassed.

Too big and certainly not any shade of red. The ugliest red/brown I've ever seen

I love this ultralight jacket! I've buying them for my grandchildren for years and decided to treat myself. It is very light weight and easy to wear especially getting in and out of the car.

I bought this to wear under my Stio Shell to ski in Colorado. Great fit, packable, and very warm. Extremely happy

I ordered a new women's ultralight 850 jacket. I have one from a few years ago. I needed a new jacket. I got the same jacket but a different color because the jacket is So warm!

Light weight and incredibly warm. The fit is roomy allowing for a mid weight sweater underneath. The color is a perfect classic red.

Wanted a jacket that was warm without being too bulky. I enjoy being outside even in winter. Got a small, regular for extra coverage and room for layers. Also, love the color-red.

I was traveling to somewhere very cold and did not want to lug a heavy jacket through airports. Easily fit in knapsack. When I got to my destination this kept me very warm. I didn't even feel the high winds. I love this jacket!

I have a curvy figure and the petite jacket fits me perfectly in my size. In the past I have found LL Bean's jackets to be made for narrow-hipped women so I was pleased to find this jacket. It keeps me warm and toasty. My only negative is that the sleeves are a bit too long so I have to tuck them under but it works ok. Why do most clothing manufacturers seem to think that all women are string beans and have long arms?

Living in New England presents varied weather conditions! Hence, December was downright bitterly cold. I have been wearing a vest for the past few winters as they were pretty mild. Not this winter. So I splurged and bought the 850 down jacket. It is perfect for our CT freeze! The jacket is warm, cozy and not overly puffy. Love that I have a choice when the thermometer dips! Thank you LLBean for another great product.

I love ,love, love this jacket! This is my second one but in a different color. The fit is spot on and the color is something new and different. It is very lightweight but very warm and comfortable. It also packs well!

Wore this jacket on a 16 degree , very windy day with sweater underneath and was very comfortable. It is very comfortable and fits perfectly. The jacket is made very well and is attractive.

I did return it for the next size up, but only so I can wear a sweater under it. I have to say.I really like it! Fits well, it's comfortable and keeps me warm. After all this, it's worth the price!

I love this jacket! It is just what I wanted and needed and it is perfect. It is SO light weight but very warm and black goes with everything. Zipper works great!

This is the 3rd LL Bean down jacket I've bought over the years. 3 different colors. They wash easily. Highly recommend.

Absolutely the best coat ever. This is my second coat from here, and yes they were the same coat, same color. It took a little searching to find it as it wasn't listed on original site, but we persevered and found it again. So happy and my last one was around for over 15 years. Quality work.

Warm, well-made, & gorgeous deep purple color! I kind of save this jacket for lunches, etc. It could easily be an outdoor workhorse, but I am babying it. Two thumbs up!
