I have been wearing a version of this jacket for a decade and just received my 5th one! I find them comfortable from 50 degrees to -10 degrees. It's my travel favorite because it squishes to nothing in my backpack. The zippered pockets are deep enough to carry phone, wallet, and multiple extras. As an extra bonus, it finally comes in a deep purple color!

This jacket is compactable, versatile and easy to bring when traveling. It is the perfect jacket for 30-60 degree temps. It is comfortable with or without additional layers. You can't go wrong.

Love this down jacket, so very warm. I am active and love walking outside all times of year, so this jacket has been essential. I also have certain quirky style preferences and I am glad that there are no contrasting colors on this jacket like previous versions where the zipper and trim were different colors. I have it in several different colors and it is my "go to" jacket in fall and winter.

I love how light this jacket is and it still keeps me toasty warm. I enjoy the purple color and the silvery light purple lining. A winner for me!

Love the women's plus size ultralight 850 down jacket! I wear it on cold days to walk the dog, work around the yard and it always goes with me on cold winter vacations. I bought the darker purple/plum color and really like it. Jacket fits great, is super warm and I love the packable feature.

The ultralight downlight vest is ideal to transition from a summer weight pullover to winter coat. I've worn this jacket many seasons and across Europe. It's a great addition to the wardrobe.

This down jacket is lite, but very warm. Every high end store is caring l l bean. If you want to be "in" this season you must have a l l bean jacket

I have been wanting to purchase an Ultralight down jacket for myself for a couple of years. I buy them for the grandkids, but I'm a little frugal with my own wardrobe! I saw that this Women's Ultralight 850 Down Jacket in Mineral Red that was on sale at a very tempting price. I wasn't sure about the color (its kind of a soft burnt orange) but it turns it its a great color for me. I have pale skin and white hair and in the winter I wear black LLBean's perfect fit pants everyday. The lining of the jacket is a pretty dark teal and the zipper matches it. It is true to size. I'm very pleased with my purchase and look forward to wearing it. It's just the right length for driving. I'm off to the yarn store to find Mineral Red and dark teal yarn to knit myself a hat!

This is my fourth Ultralight down jacket. I keep buying them because I like the slightly tailored cut which provides a feminine fit. They wash and dry well (always use the balls to puff up the down!) and while not the warmest option, they do layer nicely. My only complaint is that the outer fabric is extremely fragile. Although I wear them for hiking, riding my horses, working around the barn and walking the dog, I'm aware that any snag against scrub oak or rough rock will result in a tear I need to fix. Otherwise, a perfect purchase.

This jacket was perfect, fits me like a glove, light weight but keeps you very warm!

I ordered this at the end of the season, but there were a couple of cold days to try it out. It's very comfy and seems to be warm enough. I've been using one of Bean's Mt. Parkas for years and I love it but it's very bulky for travel (airplanes and all). So I decided it was time to get something packable, but still warm. I haven't yet traveled with it, but I am sure it will pack nicely; my spouse has the same coat and travels with it.

This is the best down jacket ever! In fact, it's the second one I bought because I accidentally ripped my first one on a nail. It was ten years old and in otherwise perfect condition. What I love about the jacket is that it is ultralight and can roll up into nothing to pack! RIP jacket number one. I've got a new one!

Stunning style and color, as well as real down make this jacket a must-have for northeastern US winters.

My favorite jacket! So light and so comfortable. Being able to stuff pack it has made it amazing for travel. Putting it on immediately gets me a little warmer and it is breathable as well so I never get uncomfortably hot. The only issue is tearing. Be cautious with where you are walking or carrying something like firewood. Small hole in my sleeve and chest have caused at least a few feathers to sprout out every day.

I bought this jacket for a trip to England and France over the holiday season. It was perfect! It compresses into my bag when not using and weights very little. On very cold days I needed a sweater layer. I now am wearing it cold mornings in Florida ( yes, it does occasionally get down to 38-40 degrees in the morning in Florida). I am delighted with this jacket. I am sorry that LLBean appears to be discontinuing the teal green color. I got several compliments on the color.

This down jacket is so light but so warm. I have owned this jacket for over 10 years and recently torn my jacket on a nail. I didn't hesitate to return to LLBean hoping they still carried this jacket. I was so thankful I could purchase it(and it only increased in price $40) from 10 years ago. It is the best jacket for winter, running errands. walks etc. Definitely recommend this jacket.

The warmest jacket I have ever owned. Pity that you do not have a coat with a detachable hood made of the same material.

Excellent jacket. Very warm and light weight. Highly recommend. I ordered large even though I take a medium. Wanted to give myself enough room for bulky sweaters.
