I have been looking for a lightweight very warm coat and this is it! That is is also waterproof, thanks to the downtek inside, is bonus since we have moved to the Pacific Northwest and the winters are more rainy and cold that the Southeast from whence we moved.

So glad I bought this coat. It's very lightweight and comfortable. I do a lot of fast walking around the neighborhood. Wearing a turtleneck and lightweight sweater (and sometimes cuddledudds) with temps in the 20's and wind blowing, it keeps me warm. I love the weight of it. I've bought coats in the "warmest" category and they are so heavy I can barely move. This one, in the "warm category," does not restrict me at all. I'm 5'3", 115 lbs and bought size small. Fit is perfect with light sweater underneath. Though if I were to wear a heavy sweater it would probably be a tight fit. The only change I would like to see is for there to be a wider variety of colors, especially lighter or brighter colors (but not white) to help make one more visible.

This fits perfectly, measurements and sizes are accurate. It's a great lighter weight coat but very warm. My only suggestion would be to add an exterior chest pocket.

I've only worrn it once so far, but out lived up to its namevery warm and light.

Love this 3/4 length 850 coat. It is warm and lightweight. Pockets on outside zip and there is a drop in pocket on the inside. I am 5' 1" and 127 lbs. Bought Petite large as I like a roomy fit.

I love this coat! It has kept me toasty warm during our cold start this winter. It also does a great job holding back the wind. The pockets are deep and useful. And the inner pockets are great for holding a phone, important papers or your hat and mittens. Highly recommend!

This coat is perfect for cold weather. Its light. You don't feel weighed down at all!

this is my second coat like this I really like the weight of the coat I wear everywhere. I do find that in really cold weather I need to where another sweater under it or go to a heavier weight coat!

This coat is very light, warm and comfortable for my short commutes in the city. It has room for layering with a fleece sweater when needed. The fit and warmth of the hood is perfect for someone like me, who does not like wearing hats.

This is a warm light weight down coat I bought in a larger size in case I want to add a sweater underneath. It is true to size and can be folded into a store pocket for travel. It has plenty of down filling and was unexpectedly warm. I did use a sweater with it when the wind was strong and wickedly cold, as there was less insulation around my neck unless I used the hood, but otherwise this coat was good to use by itself. I highly recommend this coat it is worth the price.

This coat provides a great degree of warmth without being bulky. I have worn it several times during cold football games. It works well when layered with warm clothes underneath and the length adds to the warmth, keeping your torso toasty.

This is my second 850 down coat. I love this type of coat as it's so light weight it almost floats. Warm too. A few years ago I bought it in a kaki thyme green that I love and wish they would reissue this exact coat in this exact color! This year I bought the plum color but only after a lot of thought as I wasn't sure if the plum would work with my current wardrobe color but it does so I'm glad I went through with the sale. I'm 5.6 132 pounds and bought the medium size. It's a pleasure to wear. My only complaint is I wish the lining matched the outer color as it is a gray color at neck area. If it was all one color ie plum it would make the coat look a bit dressier and less sporty. A plus in my opinion. Otherwise I love it and if llbean makes it with a larger selection of colors (that include green) I would love to buy another one because these can be worn everyday for just about any activity.

Purchased this coat before our European Christmas market trip. It has been very warm, comfortable while still being packable and lightweight. I love the longer length. The upper interior pocket is a bit low and it would be nice if it zipped, but otherwise it's great.

I took this coat on a Christmas markets river cruise in late November and it was the perfect weight and warmth for the weather, including some rain and mid-30s temperatures. It was very comfortable and lightweight. It had a nice interior pocket and large zipper pockets. I am sure I will get a lot of use out of it.

This coat is everything I hoped for. It is super lightweight, but so warm. It fits so well and looks great! My daughter has a similar coat she got several years ago and she liked it so well I was excited to get one for our cold windy winters!

This coat is perfect in size, comfort, lightness. It is a real petite fit. Love the zip pockets and interior pocket. The hood stays up.

This is my second LLBean ultralight packable down coat. I had my previous one for 10 years. It packs into its own integrated zippered pouch and weighs nearly nothing.
