I wasn't sure this jacket would be warm enough given how light it is. The other day it was in the teens and very windy and I stayed toasty warm. It's a great jacket.

It's very warm in our CT winter, stylish, lightweight. I recommend it.

This jacket is the warmest jacket I have ever worn for such a light weight. I wore the jacket in a recent snow storm and not only did I stay warm, but the down did not get wet. I would heartily recommend this jacket.

I pondered and pondered over getting this jacket as I just could not believe that anything so light was going to keep me warm in Maine winters - I waited too long to start enjoying this! It keeps me warm on walks, out shoveling the driveway or just going to the grocery store - everywhere. It also is fantastic in that you don't roast when you get into a store from the outside. Just perfect and feels like you are wearing nothing but a windbreaker. If you have been considering the 850-Down, stop considering and start enjoying! The item is true to fit - as states: Slightly Fitted. I would recommend sizing up if you are on the cusp.

This is a great jacket. EXTREMELY lightweight...so much when it came in the mail and I unpacked it, I was quite skeptical on how it would perform. After wearing the jacket outside in 25 degree weather, I was extremely impressed at how warm it kept me. You can barely tell you have a jacket on. I usually wear XL on everything that I buy on LL Bean, but I will say this jacket is just the slightest bit tight in the midsection.

Fits great, keeps me warm, and sheds the snow off the jacket.

I love this jacket. It's quality, lightweight, water resistant, warm and travels almost invisibly.

Don't be fooled by the light weight of this jacket. My husband said it kept him very warm in 27 weather. It's also great that it takes up so little space when folded up.

Over the years, I have purchased a lot from Bean, but this is my best Bean purchase ever! It is so light yet incredibly warm and comfortable! Love the color (Juniper) and the way it is made. I typically wear Large, but decided to order X-Large. Fits me perfectly! I will not wear this jacket when I take my dog outside. She is small and has sharp nails so I fear she might snag the outer material. Just a thought for you dog owners out there! All in all, I LOVE this jacket and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks Bean for making a great jacket!

Bought this for my son for Christmas. He loved it from the minute he put it on. It's warm, well constructed, stylish and the color, Black Forest, was beautiful. He's 42 years old and very picky about his clothes.

I like to layer depending on the temperature. This coat is perfect for me.

Bought the medium royal blue for my husband. Everyone loved it . So I bought the large grey for my son in law. Then the extra large tall in burgundy for my grandson (jury still out on that one as it is a Christmas gift).. Great looking, warm, light, jacket.

Incredibly light - incredibly!! But it seems to work fine in temps around 30 degrees, don't yet know about anything closer to 10 degrees, but it is so light and comfortable and attractive, too. I'm very pleased and highly recommend it.

I really love this jacket. It's light weight, warm, wind resistant and everything I hoped I was buying. The ONLY thing I have a slight problem with is the fact that the bright yellow trim is a bit much. I wish it wasn't so shocking yellow. Especially in Bear country, I'm often accused of being a Packers fan! Ouch!

I bought this coat for my 80 year husband and he loves this jacket. The size medium fits perfectly and he loves the light weight of this winter coat. It has enough room to wear a medium weight layer underneath it also ! THANKS LL BEAN

I love this coat! It's a little bit lighter than I would of thought but it sure feels warm. It's very good looking

The XX Large size is a little loose on me but I expected that. The jacket is just right for fall and early winter wear as it is nice and fluffy once it has expanded from the shipping bag. I will order another one when this one wears out. This is a good buy at the price.

This is the lightest weight jacket I have owned. It fits perfectly and will be one of my cool weather fishing accessories.

Great light weight warm jacket for early or late-winter. If colder, put layers underneath and works great!

Coat is extremely light and well made. Very easy to get on for this recovering patient. Hint: order a size up from normal, much easier to put on.
