Everyone's body measurements vary. I am an XL and this fit me just right, Cozy but not too warm. I bought this color Stewart for my daughter and a Rob Roy for myself. I admit I have not washed it. but will take care. If it does wash ok, I will order another

These are my favorite LL Bean shirts. I own 3 and just bought another. The fit is loose so going down a size worked for me. It is extremely comfortable and the length is nice. They are warm and layer nicely with long sleeved shirts. I have washed my older ones many times and they have held up nicely with very minimal shrinkage. The quality is excellent and the zippers work well.

The shirt runs a little large, so I recommend going one size down. But, as always, the quality is amazing. So much more than I expected. Worth the price.

It's comfortable and will be a great layer for fall!

Finally the Scotch plaid came in my colors. I definitely belong to the Rob Roy part of the McGregor clan. For me this is the perfect weight, a little large but will be great with layers. I'm so pleased that the plaids match exactly in the front and one side. The other side is just a little off. Would like it to match, being a seamstress this is one thing that bothered me about the Scotch plaid I bought a few years ago, but I can live with the match on the hoodie. In the future I hope you continue to improve the way the plaids match on the sides. Otherwise, the shirt feels nice is roomy and long enough to wear with leggings. In short GREAT!!!!! Now, just wish you had a red shirt that would be a perfect match.

I bought this shirt/ jacket as we travel a lot and it seemed like a good layer. I ended up wearing it almost every day as we traveled across Canada and up into Alaska. It was the perfect weight, warm but not too much. It went over shirts, and under fleece and down vests. I took it to New Zealand for a month and wore it frequently. It looked good, and kept me comfy. A great buy! I bought one for my best friend and she had all ready bought one for herself- so I kept it

I love this hoodie because it is lightweight. I was looking for something to wear in early fall and late spring because I spend winter in warmer weather each year. The reviews said it runs large so I went to the LLBean store to try it on before ordering it. The reviews were true. I would normally order a large but the medium is plenty roomy with a regular top underneath. I may order some more of these.

I purchased this to wear as a jacket so I sized up to allow for a shirt underneath. Beautiful color! Purchased green and navy.

I'm more than happy with my purchase. Love the color...a very light green and black Scottish plaid...You can wear it over a slightly patterned top/blouse and they get along quite nicely. This jacket is light weight....just perfect if you get a little chilly in the house or outside. This item fits true to size.

It's a nice comfortable zip flannel hoodie. I bought the Dress Gordon. I also bought the Waffle Knit Henlly in grey to wear underneath the hoodie. It will look very nice with jeans during the early fall. PS: It is a little to full thru the body even for a relaxed fit but, still a keeper.

I love this zip hoodie. The flannel is soft and warm but not too warm. Looks fantastic and is made really well. I wash it in cold water and hang it to dry and it looks just as good as when I first got it. Like any good quality flannel, I would not ever put this in a dryer!!! So pleased with this I bought another one in a different color.

This is a great shirt. I usually wear medium, and got medium in this. It's very loose around my waist, but not as roomy on my upper arms. I haven't tried to put a sweatshirt under it yet, but I hope it will fit. No matter because I will still wear it. I love that it zippers, and I love the nice deep pockets. And it's so soft and nice. Highly recommend.

Received this flannel hoodie today, tried it on and could hardly wait to tell you how much I like this shirt! The mid-weight flannel is so soft, the colors are beautiful, and it is a perfect fit for me! Thank you LL Bean for another great product!

I almost always wear a 2X, sometimes a 1X, but I thought I'd probably wear a t-shirt under this so I got a 2X. There will be plenty of room (!) even in the bust where tops are often too tight. The sleeves are just barely long enough but that's a common problem for me. If they shrink up I'll just unbutton them and fold the cuffs back. The pockets are large and extend from their slash openings all the way to the zipper. The zipper seems pretty heavy duty and has a nice leather pull tab. All in all I'm very pleased with this. I'll hope that a warm dryer shrinks the 100% cotton a bit (except for sleeve length).

It is soft, comfy, and fits perfectly. The hood is just extra flannel fun!

I bought this to serve as a light weight but warm jacket to take on a trip to England this fall. Love the hood and the soft cozy, cuddly feel of this jacket. It is light weight and looks to pack well. I bought the Rob Roy red plaid.

I own three different colors of the Scotch plaid, relaxed, zip hoodie flannel shirts;I love my Stewart Victoria and my Calhoon, but the Dress Gordon is my favorite. It complements jeans beautifully. I also own 6 of the regular collared, relaxed fit, Scotch Plaid flannel shirts, however I find the zippered version slightly thicker, warmer and sporty casual as a light jacket. The leather zipper pull pulls smoothly, making zipping easy, and adds a touch of class to casual attire.

I see there are over 500 reviews, but I will add mine, for what it is worth. First, thank you for offering this in plus-size, I wish more of your clothing was. This is a great little jacket, like an unlined flannel shirt, it is cute. It is relaxed fit, no need to size up, it should fit over a lightweight sweater. I do wish that it was longer; please LLBean consider that plus-size tops are typically longer than misses and this jacket does not quite cover tunics. Thanks!

Love this jacket, very, very soft flanel, not stiff like guys shirts. Almost feels like fleece. Advertised as "relaxed fit" and it surely is!!! I will be buying another for sure. This already is one of may favorite things. This one fits me the way I like things, quite a bit roomy, definately will fit thick layers underneath, it's really something to cozy up in... Like people wear oversized hoodies. I definately could have gone one size down though, --maybe two for a fitted look..or to wear as more of a shirt type jacket with a tutle neck or T underneath. Next one i will go one size smaller. This is made very big. But...It is perfect for hanging around at camp, or on the beach. Great to throw on and walk the dogs. A comfort item. I can sit indian stlye and get my legs inside because it flairs out wider at the bottom. Has just huge pockets, go midway up my arm when i put my hands in them, keeps them super warm, this also gives a nice double layer around your mid section, and there are big slip pockets inside! --For size, If you know Smart Water bottles, 33.8 oz, i can fit two and they are almost as tall as the bottle! You could easily fit a big full sized wallet plus in the outside or inside pockets. A small purse. On each side. You could fit a hat and gloves easily. Probably could fit a Chawawah inside! Just a very nice touch. Has very nice hood, not too big. Sleeve width and length is pretty good, not huge. I am short, 5', 1", so it's long on me, below my butt. I tried this on my guy, he is 5'11", 230 lbs, big arms, shoulders, chest, muscular build with a bit of girth around the middle and it is very roomy on him. He is a mans extra large to 1X depending on brand name. Most LL Bean he is a 1X. It sits just below the top of his butt. I am going to guess most people will want to go atleast one size down, probably two unless you are like me and like things like this super big. Like a robe, lol. I got the Scotch Plad and it's very lush colors.

So pleased with this shirt. It's soft and cozy but not too heavy. Perfect for the dog park or walking the dog if it begins to rain. Lovely rich colors. Good deep pockets. Good for you LLBean.

Bought this for chilly Wisconsin mornings and evenings. I ordered an extra large so it would still be roomy enough to wear another long sleeve shirt under it during the winter. Great fit, soft and cozy!
