Ordered a Large and returned due to the shoulders being tight and sleeves being so short. Loved the shirt material and pattern and so reordered and got it in a XL tall!!!!!
I'm 5'7 and 158. Never been a Tall or an XL
Perfect length in the Tall for covering the booty when pairing with leggings without being to long. The shoulders fit but the body of the shirt in XL is quite big but works well for wearing open with layers underneath. Super cute with a chambray shirt and tshirt.

This was the worst fitting thing that I have ever tried in. It's awfully huge and flares out under the arms so that it looks like a tent. Pattern was cute and materials were well made but the fit is horrible. It was way too short too. I am 5'4, 118lbs and ordered both the XS and the PXS; both went back.

I had wanted a size XL but none were available in the black & white print. I checked the size chart and ordered a size up hoping that it might fit. It did not so it was returned as it was too big. I've noticed that many of the items I want are usually sold out in my size and that the very small and very large sizes end up going on sale/clearance. I wish that they would have more of the average/middle sizes (M, L and XL) available because they're sold out too quickly!

I can't rate the fit using the chart provided (except I was forced to do so...) cause it was definitely a loose fit in the body but too short in the sleeves. I ordered a medium and expected it to perhaps be a bit loose, but the too-short sleeves was a real disappointment. I would have preferred a slimmer fit, but then the sleeves would have been way too short if I had gone with the small. If I went up to a large for the proper sleeve fit, then the body would have been way too big. Just a disappointment all around.

I wanted this zip hoodie for a long time but couldn't justify the price as an everyday purchase. Rather than get a couple things for my birthday I said this was all I wanted. It arrived and was a really good looking jacket. It was a nice flannel, a classic pattern and great styling ( so 2 stars). I normally wear a Large but ordered an XL because I wanted to wear it over sweater/sweatshirts. The XL was just way too big. However my friend loved the jacket so she kept it and I ordered another in Large, which fit perfectly. The jacket was on backorder until end of summer, so I was only able to take it camping once. But I loved the jacket, it was perfect to bring camping - cosy for morning coffee and sitting by the campfire. Luckily it is cute enough and warm enough to wear to casual events in the fall and winter months. I washed the jacket and ironed it according to directions and it looked like new :) Unfortunately - When I went to wear it... the zipper didn't work. It is made with one of those HORRIBLE plastic zippers that always break. They don't zip and keep spreading open in the middle. You know, that kind you have to zip and unzip because it doesn't stay together and you finally need to have someone come try to get you out of !?! I am one of those that reads reviews for products before I purchase - Someone mentioned that their zipper was "wavy" making it unflattering to wear after washing. Yes, it is "wavy" but it is also broken unable to zip. I just don't understand why anyone would put a 1 dollar zipper in a $ 65.00 jacket ? There is nothing more disappointing than spending extra for something that you think is going to last you a long time, only to find out it doesn't last beyond one single use. I suggest you consider this purchase before buying it. LL Bean charges you for returns even when it is their poor quality that is at fault.

I purchased this on a vacation. I wore it as a jacket every day. I loved it it was warm for fall time and so soft and comfy. Great pockets and hood was nice when it got a little windy. Perfect. I was going to order it in two or three more colors....then I got home and washed it. Cancel my order! It shrunk about 7 inches in length
and about 3 in width. I wish when companies are charging such high prices they would preshrink items. Actually everything should be preshrunk. The moral of the story is after washing you will never wear your very expensive hoodie again. It's been a year. So sad.

I waited thru 2 backorders for this jacket. I smiled as i pulled it out of the package because it was so soft. I shook it out and it looked pretty shapeless, not like the curved look shown on the website photo. But, maybe it'll be different on. No just as dumpy and shapeless on. Darn.

Liked the shirt, especially the hood. But the zipper was defective. Couldn't get it to zip up no matter what I tried. Returned within 5 days. Disapponting. Hope it can be improved.

I purchased one of these jackets in a size xl and the other in a plus size 1x. The xl fits fine and at first the 1x did too; however when i washed that one, the sleeves shrunk to be too short! The other one is fine and I wash things the same way.
Also, the black watch fabric is pilling which i don't like. I am returning that item, the 1x that is in black watch, and keeping the other which is a different flannel pattern - scotch plaid.

I count on LLBean for quality, especially with their Flannel. I'm really disappointed at how much this hoodie has pilled!! I won't wear it now, other than around home.

The cut was odd, the material color was dull. The plaid was mismatched at the seams. All in all it looked like a low quality shirt you might have grabbed at the dollar store and washed too many times. Really disappointed because I'd been lusting after this shirt for months. It looked great in the ads.

After one washing this flannel got fuzzy and really shrunk. I got the red one,too and it's great. This is not the color I bought. I got the navy and green. Go down a size because this runs large.

I wanted to love it but it was way too wide and boxy. For a petite size it sure didn't feel petite. Colors were cute.

The flannel is an inferior quality; picks up lint et al easily, looks like it is distressed out of the box. Only relaxed fit available which looks sloppy on a 5'3" H 118 lb frame. I can live with the fit, but the quality of the flannel is disappointing.
Disappointed,

Zipper doesn't lie flat which makes the shirt look awkward and sloppy. I wish I hadn't spent so much on this. I won't wear it.

Zipper doesn't lay flat, it looks like a roller coaster. The part of the shirt on either side of the actual zipper do cover the zipper where it lies flat, but the zipper is exposed where it doesn't lie flat. Really awkward and ugly. For the money, I expected more. Before I washed it, it was great! I was going to buy a couple more in other colors. Glad I washed it before ordering.

I was looking forward to buy this shirt, and when I finally got it it was such a disappointment. It's really beautiful and the quality is good but it fits very, veeeery bad. It's baggy, it's boxy, it's terrible. It looks like I have 20 extra pounds. I know It's supposed to be relaxed fit but this is not relaxed fit, this is 9 months pregnant fit. Didn't want to, but I will return it.

Too large in body. More than relaxed fit. The fabric wrinkles and pills. Really does not look good at all after washing.

A cute enough pull over that fit well, but I wore it just once for a day trip up to New Hampshire, and by the time I got into my hotel that night I looked down to fine the whole front of it was full of pills. I expect better from LL Bean fabrics.

I was so excited about receiving this hoodie, as I expected it to be like the one I bought two years ago:
cotton-lined, cotton flannel, relaxed-fit...
The new one I received is thin material, and fits smaller than indicated size...
I'm returning it.

I REALLY wanted this to work. LL Bean has some awesome stuff, but their women's fit is so strange. All tops seem to be made for someone who has a giant belly. I could be 8 months pregnant in most of the tops I've received. The sleeves for this shirt are also super short.
Flannel is good, would have been a great garment to take traveling and camping. Disappointed.

I originally bought this in a large, it came and was huge and box like fit. I gave this one to my daughter and ordered a medium, thinking it would be better...NO still box like and unflattering fit.

This was what I asked my husband for on my birthday this year. I love the plaid and the look of the jacket. However, after only 4 or 5 wearings, the fabric is full of pills on the front, under the arms, etc. It looks old and ratty already and I hesitate to wear it outside of the house. I usually love LL Bean's clothing, but this is very disappointing.

The quality of the shirt was great and it would have been an immediate favorite IF ONLY it fit nicely. It says "relaxed fit".... in profile I looked like I was wearing a teepee. Or maybe a maternity top. WAY too much open space around the bottom to pretend to be a garment meant to keep me warm.
I need XL because I have wide shoulders, long arms & a 38DD chest. My waist is not double my chest, but this design seemed to think it would be.

Runs large and dissatisfied with the material, thin and poor quality in my opinion.
