This has the classic bean thickness that I love, and I especially adore the red, white and blue flannel , but it's way too short for me.
I'm used to cold wrists, so I always buy men's layers if I need to actually keep warm, but this was wicked short in the torso also. I like the shirt itself, but I'll probably end up wearing it with dresses to offset the goofy short shirt look. -

Runs slightly big, much brighter then pictured, well made, warm. It's a bit stiffer then I expected but hopefully with a few washes it will relax and soften.

I'm an XL in all my other LLBean shirts and this XL was way too big- more like an XXL. Great quality but sent it back

Love the flannel colors! Fabric is soft and its weight is great for layering. Pockets are a plus.
My only disappointment is that I have worn it twice, each time for a couple of hours and already the flannel is starting to pill. I am afraid to wash it! Expected better quality from LLB.

Nice colors. Not well fitted. Zipper difficult. Too short.

Too expensive for what you get. It is fine, but costs way too much for its worth.

I love the look of this jacket. However, I have only worn it a few times and it's already getting "pilly". Very disappointing for the price I paid.

The fit was fine, comfortable. After the first wash it got pills. That was disappointing since LL Bean prices are high and the quality was not as good as it used to be.

Not a fan of this top. I expected softer and warmer. It is more of a thin jacket type piece. It may be perfect for someone else though.

Sizing is running a little small, not as stated as in the catalog.

It looked adorable on the young sales person, but sadly, did not do a thing for me. I still love the concept. Maybe you could add a little stretch ?

really cozy! But I wish there was a second zipper from the bottom or an elastic at the bottom. Also the fit is more like a tunic length.

I loved this hoodie at first even though it was shorter than I expected it to be. The flannel was soft and warm. The hood was big enough to use. But then I washed it. It got a little shorter. The flannel pilled more than it should have. And it doesn't hang nicely any more. It sticks out in front even though the "relaxed fit" isn't all that relaxed. Partly it sticks because of the zipper. Mostly it sticks out because there are multiple layers of fabric at the bottom front edge - the pockets are there plus the hem is finished with hem tape. The back doesn't stick out because it isn't as stiff - it doesn't have all those layers of fabric at the hem. This would be less of a problem if the top was longer. But again, its actually shorter than you'd expect. Medium front - 23.5 inches. Back - 25.5 inches after the first wash. Its still comfy and warm though.

This item fits large. If you like it more fitted, I would buy a size down. In my opinion, it's a cute shirt with lightweight fabric. The reason for three stars is it's pricey for the quality of fabric.

Shirt was true to size when purchased. It was roomy enough for layering and cozy. Washed once on warm cycle and hung to dry. Shirt has shrunk and no longer covers my wrist. I am only 5'3. Will return and hope a larger size will still fit after washing.

quite disappointed to have worn this once and it already started pilling up on the front sides where my arms may have rubbed across.

I loved it, however, it shrunk after washing and drying (washing on delicate cold cycle and only drying on low heat). I returned it and I am going to try the long version to see if that works better.

Just okay. The pattern is nice. The fabric is not as soft or stretchy as I hoped. It's shorter than expected (and I'm only 5'3). Arrived missing the zipper pull, so I had to use a paper clip instead. Not worth the hefty price tag or the month-long wait.

Very soft and warm, super comfortable material. However, I am a true women's small and this is built like a tent. The shirt is not even just boxy, it is simply huge in the body. Definitely no concerns regarding layering here!

Love this flannel with the hoodie. Fits well and comfortable. Zip up front is great. As weather get colder can wear with a long under ware shirt. did not shrink after washing. Ordered one for my daughter for Christmas and am ordering another on for my self.

I tried this on in the store and liked it but didn't purchase. A few days later I decided to order it online. The hoodie that arrived was way too small (size M) even though the Medium that I tried in the store was roomy. Drove the 45 minutes back to the store to return. Did not purchase the M instore as I was too annoyed!

This has a very relaxed fit. I usually wear a medium, but ordered a small based off of the sizing chart. I'm glad I did! But even in the small the torso is still very baggy. Sleeves are a little short, but not too short. Next time I'll try ordering a xs tall and see how that fits.

I bought this at the flagship store while on vacation in Maine and wore it on one of the cooler evenings. It fit perfectly and was so soft. Once i got hone and washed it i was so disappointed to find the it shrunk. Now the sleeves are too short. I guess i'm glad I got one good wear out of it.
