I'm a flannel fanatic, so I have many of LLB's scotch plaid flannels, but decided to give this one a try to change it up from the style of all my other button-down flannels. I am so glad I gave it a try! It's so soft and cozy, just like their other scotch plaid flannels, but the zipper, relaxed fit and hood make it feel even more so!
The pockets are perfectly placed in the front of the jacket, versus the side-seam pockets of the Rangeley Camp Performance Flannel, which are a little awkwardly placed in my opinion. Another pocket feature that delighted me were the interior pockets, which are nice and roomy for carrying extra items.
The hood is a little too deep, as other reviewers have noted, but it's still nice to have in Seattle, so I'm sure it will get plenty of use.
I will definitely purchase another of these jackets!

Love almost everything about this shirt. Quality and fit--a rarity these days. Love the hood, pockets, sturdy zipper. Please, please, please offer it in tall--I am afraid that it will shrink in the wash and break my heart. I am 5'8", skinny, with long arms and if I go a size larger to accommodate shrinkage, I will be wearing an XL, and I think three of me could fit in an XL. Large tall would be terrific.

I totally agree with all the comments of the other reviewers and am giving this shirt 5 stars even though I'm returning it. At 5 feet and needing a medium to get around my ampleness, the length of the misses regular is just too much especially in the sleeves - one roll I expect to have to do, 2 rolls is just too bulky. (But if you can wear a small, give it a try.) So LL Bean, please offer this in petite!!!

As other reviewers have stated, this is the perfect flannel. The material is soft and substantial, the pockets are round and deep and the zipper is heavy enough for the shirt/jacket. I bought the Stewart color and like it a bunch so I went back and ordered another. Please, please, do not change or discontinue this.

At last LLBean designed a feminine piece of clothing made with its wonderful heavy flannel Scotch plaid flannel. I agree with the writer who liked the rounded hem and no pockets on the chest. The pockets on the bottom are all we need. I bought mine in "Colquhoun" which is a very attractive tartan, and may buy another. I am 150 lbs. and take a large, but I will dry it in the dryer where it will shrink a little bit.

I love this shirt. It is a perfect fit, the material is soft and colors are beautiful. I love the style and versatility. I plan to get another in a different color.

I fell in love with this hooded shirt at a Bean store in Rochester, NY, where a terrific store employee located the size I needed. (She also brought along extra sizes and colors from the store room. What a gem!) Everything about this product is perfect. The front pockets are deep enough to hold a phone or other valuables and the material is so soft.

The quality of this shirt/jacket is a forty on a scale of one to ten. The weight is fantastic, the color outstanding, and the fit is perfect. The added bonus of a hood, pockets inside and out,and a zipper is the frosting on the cake. I love that it has a curved hem, also. I can not say enough good things about this. The designer should be given a raise!!! I can wear this many ways. It will be great with jeans and khakis. I can hardly wait for cooler weather just to wear it. Thank-you!

What can I say except these little relaxed flannel zip hoodie shirt/jackets are A M A Z I N G. The softness is unbelievable, the fit is spot on (I wear a Med top), it's relaxed enough to be worn as a jacket or a shirt with a tee-shirt or light sweater and still be comfortable without looking sloppy. IT will also serve as a great layering piece. I live in Charlotte so I will get lots of wear out of it 3 seasons a year! I love there is no chest pocket, the side pockets are generous and well placed. It's a winner (I got all 4), I thought I'd keep the one I liked and send the rest back NOPE gonna keep them all!! - Go for it and get the one or two or MORE you want now before they are all gone, you'll really regret not buying this one.

I normally wear a size petite small, sometimes petite medium since I am 5 ft. tall, and this jacket fits me well in a regular small. The sleeves are slightly long, but I would expect that. It is more of a light jacket than a shirt, is excellent quality, and it is very comfortable. I bought the Colquhoun blue plaid color, which is very pretty.

I like this shirt/hoodie a lot only problem is it pills and doesn't look that great after a few washes, it's a great fit, love the pockets!

I really like this shirt. It is comfortable and warm without being too heavy. I gave it a 4 star only because it shrunk a bit when I washed and dried it. The sleeves and shirt length are slightly shorter. I probably should've air dried since it was 100% cotton but I didn't.
Otherwise-a nice shirt!

The flannel shirt in petite XS fit well in length and sleeve length, but is extra roomy. I love the inside pockets for a cellphone and anything else. But it is not easy to tug the zipper pull upwards past the hemline.

The sizing is different than last year. Last year I got medium and it was perfect. This year a medium is smaller, longer and boxy. I returned for a petite large which is still boxy but not as long. I would not reccommend to a friend.

Wrong size for me. I ordered a regular medium probably because the sale color was not in a small or medium P. I ordered this size for layering also but it does not work out. I'm
I like my tops to sit just below the waist for ease of using pant pockets. It is well made and the two pockets are deep enough.

Keep in mind that there is no stretch because it is flannel, so I sized up. The navy plaid is rich and luxurious. The zipper can be difficult to operate though it is substantial. A nice alternative to a hooded sweatshirt or a flannel shirt. Warm!

Great item! Love the color and the fabric. It fits perfectly. Just one little flaw in the design is the zipper it's a bit of a struggle to zip it up. I have solved the problem by zipping it up and leaving it zipped and slip the hoodie over my head. Other than the zipper problem I love this hoodie!

Especially like the thinner flannel which makes it easier to move around in. The hood is thinner too and doesn't feel heavy or hot on your back. I think it may have been better with buttons. The zipper kind of bunches up and humps out when you sit down and makes you look an odd fat shape. I'm constantly tugging on it. But the bottom hem is placed at a good length.

I tried on so MANY flannel & chamois shirts in BOTH "Women's" and "Petite".
I thought this one fit....but once home realized that even "slippery" material (Such as a base layer) did not work with the upper arms. It was too tight! I couldn't find anything to wear underneath.

The Antique Royal Stewart is orange, not red. Halloween, not Christmas. The fit and quality was great, but I will not wear that gaudy orange. Returned it and went to bed disappointed.
