I already have three of these. The first one has held up better than the others, because the two most recent ones get little bumps, or pills, on them. This last one is a bit smaller in the medium size than the others as well. Not the best review, but not the worst either.

This sweater fleece is stiff and not very comfortable. I was expecting a softer hand with a softer drape to the fabric. Instead it is stiff and forms ridges and bumps making it uncomfortable to wear.

I've shopped at L.L. Bean for a while now and loved all of their products. I especially love the look of this sweater but for some reason I am not having any luck with their quality. I received it as a gift for Christmas 2017 and the first day one of the buttons popped off immediately. I got a new one. And now the stitching came out around the wrist and the elastic band inside it came out. I don't know what is up with the quality of these sweaters but it's not working for me. Guess I'm on to getting my third.

I like many things about this top: the pretty purple color, the longer length and the sturdiness of the fabric after washing. What I was surprised by was the way the standup collar is permanent. I cannot fold it down even partially and the edges actually rub against my chin when I wear it. The look is flattering but after awhile that edge becomes annoying. Maybe someone with a longer neck would not have this same complaint.

This product description says "handwarmer pockets" as if there were two. Not so, it is a single kangaroo pocket, all the way across the front. Not a neat and trim look, so it's going back. Also, not crazy about the very prominent 4-color logo, I prefer the subtle self-color embroidered logos, if necessary. I love the similar product, the sweater fleece jacket, with full zip front and TWO pockets, so I'll stick with that.

I purchased a Sweater Fleece Pullover. I was excited when it arrived. I ended up returning it as I was not happy with the fit and the fact it was more like a fancy sweatshirt and not a fleece as I thought it might be. I also did not like the way it fit over a polo shirt

I'm usually a small in LL Bean clothing, my winter coat is even an extra small and fits me perfectly. Unfortunately I purchased a small in this fleece and found that it was a little short in the torso and very short in the sleeves. I will definitely be returning it for a medium, but if it's too big I'll need to return the item altogether. I do love the sweater material and warmth level, I just wish the sizing was more consistent.

I bought this in Sailcloth and the Colorblock version (offered in another listing). They are attractive, spacious without being baggy and appropriately warm for the thickness. That said, the Colorblock version is beginning to pill badly on the pocket area. I fear this Sailcloth version will be right behind it (I did not wear it as much so the pilling is not bad as of yet). I purchased these Sept. 2017 and began wearing in early October. It's now January 7, 2018. Three Months. Both pullovers were washed in a machine 2-3 times a month but hung to dry. I like L.L. Bean and I loved so many things about this item, but it really shouldn't look so bad so quickly, especially with the care I gave it and the price I paid. I would not recommend this item to a friend, which is a shame, as it is an otherwise great product.

This pullover is nice and warm but really hard to get off over one's head. The opening does not seem to give enough room. I do like the pocket feature on the front, but it does make one look fuller in the middle!

For the first time in a while I actually tried ordering something women's. Sounds odd but women's sizing never takes into account that women may be tall. I am only 5'7" but my arm span is nearly 6' and women's sleeves never reach my hands. I ended up exchanging it for a men's because the sleeves are longer. Can there be tall options for women too please? P.S. with sleeves that are long enough I love the sweater fleece!

Had this about a year and the stitching is already coming loose at the wrists. In addition it's stiff and I wish the collar folded down.

I'm still mourning the removal of "Comfort Fleece" from the LL Bean lineup. This is the next best thing, but unfortunately, the standup collar, which is at least 1" higher than the Comfort Fleece collar, is annoyingly high. It's too high to leave standing up (unless you have a lovely long neck) and seems pointless to turn down. The body is simply too long for me - I'm 5' 6", so rarely have this problem. Bottomline: bring back the Comfort Fleece!

I chose this over a Patagonia better sweater because I like the color options better and I have had a better experience with LL Bean in terms of durability. I'm pretty reliably a medium at LL Bean, but the sleeves were so short I opted for a large. The torso on the medium was also a bit snug die to the "slightly fitted" style. I won't get much more thana t shirt underneath. The large is just too big in torso and the sleeves are still on the short side in my opinion. Love everything about this otherwise, but if I'm keeping it I may have to get a medium and suffer the shorter sleeves for a better torso fit. I want about another inch onthe sleeves and I'd take another inch onthe hem too. Thumb holes would be a welcome addition onthis as well. I don't find any issues withthe snaps, neck, fabric or getting it on and iff that others have noted. I'd be hestitant to revommend this piece though because the fit is just off.

I wanted this pullover for a long time and finally bought it when it went on sale. I sized up based on the reviews(going with xl instead of l). Unfortunately, it was too big and the fit seemed boxy. I am afraid that if I exchanged for a smaller size, it would be too small and too short. The only good thing about the xl was the length! I am planning to return this item.

I really loved this. Got it for Christmas in the Oatmeal color. Unfortunately, once I washed it (according to exact instructions) it became really pilly and just changed the texture and feel. Such a let down.

I received this pullover as a Christmas gift a few years ago. I loved the fleece, but after wearing it a handful of times the stitching came undone around the bottom hem. I returned the fleece recently and received a store credit, but as of now it is no longer available in the blue/green color I had. Please bring back the lighter green colors, I have too many sweatshirts already that are gray, blue, and black!

Loved the fabric but a few details led to its return. I'm 5-6" and felt it could be longer. The fit was pretty boxy, especially in the shoulders. The snaps didn't work, some may have been defective. Overall, thought it was gorgeous and well made. Sad to send it back.

I have been admiring and looking at this pullover since they were first introduced and finally got one. I REALLY wanted this to work for me, but not so. As mentioned in some other reviews, the shoulders are on the narrow side. It was a hassle getting the sweater on and off. Like other reviews noted, going up a bigger size would just make it too big through the middle. I loved the blue green color, but with great disappointment, it's going back.

The fabric and color of this pullover are attractive, but actually pulling it over my head and shoulders is difficult. The placket is short and the shoulders are tight. (My head is relatively small and my shoulders are average width.) It's comfortable once it's on, but I probably wouldn't recommend it to a friend.

I purchased this sweater a month ago and have washed it 2-3 times (on cold, hang dry), and it has already begun to pill. I expected a more quality item from LL Bean and am really disappointed. I do like the shirt and it is nice and warm. As for fit, I am 5'6" and bought a large, as I like my tops longer. The large is roomy and allows for a t-shirt underneath, but doesn't look sloppy.

I purchased this in a Medium in hopes it would fit me. I am 5' tall and weigh 120 lbs. The pullover was warm and cute but was longer on me than I was hoping for. Had there been a petite size, it would have worked for me. Unfortunately, I will be returning.

The xlarge is not really what I am used to with LLBean. Extremely cozy but should be more roomy and not so stiff. I usually get large or extra large but can only wear this x-large with a summer t-shirt--not so good colder months. Perhaps it will stretch with wear.

I would have given this pullover 1 star except the blue-green color and the knit is absolutely beautiful. However, the fit is way off. It was cut quite narrow but the shoulders were too big and arms too long as well as the length of the garment. Not at all comfortable. I was sorry to return it.

I bought this in-store in October. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is a bit snug, so I also suggest ordering a size up. My biggest issue with it is that the hem in the bottom came unraveled after two washes (washed per the instructions). This wasn't a super easy fix for someone who barely knows which end of the needle is which, like me, because there is elastic around the bottom and sleeves to keep the chill out (which is does admirably). I wanted the sweatshirt for a trip, so I didn't have the time to get a replacement sent out and ended up paying to have the hem put back in. I've been disappointed with LL Bean's quality lately.
