The overall length is too long for me. When the garment is allowed to be its natural length, it covers my bottom. My hips are larger than my bust, so the garment hugs my bottom which is unattractive. The binding at the bottom of the sleeves and garment has little to no stretch. It would be uncomfortable to push the sleeves up above my elbows. Lastly, the garment was difficult to remove: I had to bend over at the waist and wiggle the garment down and off. The item was returned.

I don't like wearing clothing that advertises the brand. I have several fleece tops from years past, all one color, no contrast trim, and the LLBean logo embroidered in the same color. This current version bears a sewn-in logo on the upper left front, making me a billboard for the brand. Consider going back to a less obvious logo.

While the quality was nice, this fleece was not as expected, rather stiff with the knit and fleece bonded fabric. A size large might have felt better since I vary between XL and L but it wouldn't have been a layering item that I wanted.

I wanted to love this fleece. I got the pretty olive green color, but the sleeves! Goodness they are so short. LL Bean please start offering tall's in women sizes. I want to buy so much and my wrist freeze.
Will be returning with sadness.

Loved the idea of the pocket/pouch but the sweater fleece pullover does not fit the way that my other similar name brand pullovers fit. The sleeves are gathered and it was not a flattering fit like my other pullovers. Liked the pocket/pouch but if you put anything heavier than a tissue the lining will show outside the bottom of the pullover. I also ordered these for my husband and son and they look great on them, just not on me.

I am 5'4 and 120 lbs and ordered a small. It hit above the hips, and flared out where the pockets are, so it looks like a big "A" on me. Not impressed with the fit. Not flattering. The material is warm, but my hands get dry in the winter, and will snag on this material - not tearing the material, but irritating me. Going back. If I reorder, i will look for LLBean's high pile fleece and avoid the material on this one.

Usually love love LLBean products. I have 2 of these in the full zipper and love them, thought I'd buy a couple of the pullovers. The reason I don't love them has to do with the cheap looking plastic snaps. Not sure what the designer was thinking. For me, it changes this item from a 5 to a 3. For the price I expected better.

I originally ordered my normal size (M). It was too small. Had to reorder a L. I like the color and the weight is perfect. Not too bulky. It goes on and comes off hard. Maybe because there's no stretch in the material. For that reason, I would never wear it where I wanted to take it off.

I am on the edge on this jacket. For one, I do not like the LLBEAN logo blazing across the chest. I understand advertising a brand, but put it at bottom, or wrist, or even shoulder. Or, an embroided LB would look nice. I avoid buying products whose manufactures make their logos obvious.
I have seen other review's on this website complaining about the obvious advertising, so I would take heed and listen because this will make a difference in purchasing.
I wear a small, but the shoulders and sleeves are too narrow. If I size up to a medium, the body is too big. Quality of fabric is excellent. I wish this fit differently and the logo was gone because it has potential for sure.

I love absolutely everything about this pullover except for the fact that the arms are too short. I am tall and slim, but bought medium in case this would be an issue, but sleeves are still too short. They are ok if you have your arms at your side but as soon as you lift them, half of your arm becomes exposed. It's really disappointing because if they were the the right length this fleece would be perfect! :(

Even after washing, the neck was too scratchy to be worn comfortably
I liked the look and the fit, and will try it with a turtleneck, but in my climate that may be way too much.

I am 5'8" and have this problem with many LL Bean items - the sleeves are too short!! Either add more length or offer a tall option. For this reason I must recommend Patagonia brand sweater fleece which offer sleeves that are much longer. I would love to purchase from LL Bean if this is modified.

I got a medium in petite and the sizing was perfect! However, I was a little bummed out about the color. It said blue-green but the picture looked different than what it actually looks like in person. It appears more green in the pictures online but when it came it was a bright aqua color. Its still cute so I'll just keep it but I was dissapointed in the actual color of it.

I already have three of these. The first one has held up better than the others, because the two most recent ones get little bumps, or pills, on them. This last one is a bit smaller in the medium size than the others as well. Not the best review, but not the worst either.

This sweater fleece is stiff and not very comfortable. I was expecting a softer hand with a softer drape to the fabric. Instead it is stiff and forms ridges and bumps making it uncomfortable to wear.

I've shopped at L.L. Bean for a while now and loved all of their products. I especially love the look of this sweater but for some reason I am not having any luck with their quality. I received it as a gift for Christmas 2017 and the first day one of the buttons popped off immediately. I got a new one. And now the stitching came out around the wrist and the elastic band inside it came out. I don't know what is up with the quality of these sweaters but it's not working for me. Guess I'm on to getting my third.

I like many things about this top: the pretty purple color, the longer length and the sturdiness of the fabric after washing. What I was surprised by was the way the standup collar is permanent. I cannot fold it down even partially and the edges actually rub against my chin when I wear it. The look is flattering but after awhile that edge becomes annoying. Maybe someone with a longer neck would not have this same complaint.

This product description says "handwarmer pockets" as if there were two. Not so, it is a single kangaroo pocket, all the way across the front. Not a neat and trim look, so it's going back. Also, not crazy about the very prominent 4-color logo, I prefer the subtle self-color embroidered logos, if necessary. I love the
similar product, the sweater fleece jacket, with full zip front and TWO pockets, so I'll stick with that.

I purchased a Sweater Fleece Pullover. I was excited when it arrived. I ended up returning it as I was not happy with the fit and the fact it was more like a fancy sweatshirt and not a fleece as I thought it might be. I also did not like the way it fit over a polo shirt

I'm usually a small in LL Bean clothing, my winter coat is even an extra small and fits me perfectly. Unfortunately I purchased a small in this fleece and found that it was a little short in the torso and very short in the sleeves. I will definitely be returning it for a medium, but if it's too big I'll need to return the item altogether.
I do love the sweater material and warmth level, I just wish the sizing was more consistent.

I bought this in Sailcloth and the Colorblock version (offered in another listing). They are attractive, spacious without being baggy and appropriately warm for the thickness. That said, the Colorblock version is beginning to pill badly on the pocket area. I fear this Sailcloth version will be right behind it (I did not wear it as much so the pilling is not bad as of yet). I purchased these Sept. 2017 and began wearing in early October. It's now January 7, 2018. Three Months. Both pullovers were washed in a machine 2-3 times a month but hung to dry. I like L.L. Bean and I loved so many things about this item, but it really shouldn't look so bad so quickly, especially with the care I gave it and the price I paid. I would not recommend this item to a friend, which is a shame, as it is an otherwise great product.

This pullover is nice and warm but really hard to get off over one's head. The opening does not seem to give enough room. I do like the pocket feature on the front, but it does make one look fuller in the middle!

For the first time in a while I actually tried ordering something women's. Sounds odd but women's sizing never takes into account that women may be tall. I am only 5'7" but my arm span is nearly 6' and women's sleeves never reach my hands. I ended up exchanging it for a men's because the sleeves are longer. Can there be tall options for women too please?
P.S. with sleeves that are long enough I love the sweater fleece!

Had this about a year and the stitching is already coming loose at the wrists. In addition it's stiff and I wish the collar folded down.

I'm still mourning the removal of "Comfort Fleece" from the LL Bean lineup. This is the next best thing, but unfortunately, the standup collar, which is at least 1" higher than the Comfort Fleece collar, is annoyingly high. It's too high to leave standing up (unless you have a lovely long neck) and seems pointless to turn down. The body is simply too long for me - I'm 5' 6", so rarely have this problem.
Bottomline: bring back the Comfort Fleece!
