Despite my best efforts to upgrade my son's wardrobe upon returning to Boston, he insists on wearing this LL Bean jacket as his go-anywhere, do anything outer layer. From commuting to the fire station, to nights at local taverns, this sweater keeps him warm in the nippy New England fall season. Not as soft as his Uncle Niles's gap sweater made by master weaver Diego of Spain, who knits it from the chin hairs of Andalusian mountain goats, but at $99 retail, this sturdy utilitarian jacket is a sensible purchase that will last longer should it ever come in reach of my sweater-destroying sister in law Daphne.

My Dad really lives his new jacket. He said it's warm and cozy and very comfortable to wear.

I really love this coat. Everything except the cuffs on the sleeves is totally awesome. The cuffs go down over my hands and I feel like I am wearing my dad's coat as a younger person.

I purchased this for my very picky husband, expecting him to want to return it. He was delighted with the fit and look of the fleece, and wears it all the time! I'm thrilled.

I decided to get this lighter colored sweatshirt version of the classic Beans sweater (I had one in 1970 lol) and so glad I did..it's attractive and comfortable

My husband loves this jacket. He puts it on every morning and wears it as our old home is heating up and his coffee is brewing. It is his favorite right now.

I find the jacket was the same great quality LL Bean always provides. However, The address Label would not allow the item to be delivered. When I called customer, they checked and found the jacket had been returned. The address was corrected and we finally got the jacket. It was my husband's late Christmas gift.

Boyfriend is real happy with his new jacket, size 3x. He's 6'6 and it's a perfect length. Normally a 2x but description said it was tapered at waist, so I ordered a 3x. I don't see where it would be considered 'tapered'. It's roomy enough for a sweater underneath but not baggy looking. Great material and pockets. Sturdy zipper.

Bought this for my husband. He wanted a fleece that wasn't too "fleecy." This is like a well-tailored fleece. His only improvement would be to add a lining to the sleeves so it's smoother to put on and take off.

This is my husband new best sweatshirt. Not heavy, has an outer pocket along with inside pockets and the button closure makes it easy to get on and off without going over your head.
