I have purchased several flannel shirts for my husband and this is the only one that pilled up terribly after 2 washes. He wants me to throw away the shirt, he is so unhappy with the shirt.

After one washing, seam on button strip tore out 12" (sewing defect); product exchanged for another try! An exception to Bean's usual solid-quality product, I hope.

Very disappointed, after washing this shirt 3 times it looks like I had it for 5 years! The shirt is full of pills and I have to use a clothes shaver on it after each washing to get it to look decent!

The sizing is not correct. Bigger than it should be.

In the past your product seemed to be of a better quality I find them lacking.

Made in Sri Lanka ! Not the high quality flannel that it used to be. So disappointing.

I will be sending the shirt back due to size. I wear a 2 or 3 xl and this shirt is a 3xl, but does not fit.,

I am so disappointed by the quality of this product. I gave it to my husband as a Christmas gift but the top two buttons of the shirt fell off just after the very first wash (not even wear it on yet) Washing the new clothes before wearing (especially it's not a coat or jacket) is a common practice in my house. What makes it worse is that I was trying to find the usual "extra button" coming either at the inner side of a tag or somewhere on the shirt, but there is NO extra button. I like the product because it has Tall in Medium size which is my husband's type who has long arms.

All of my shirts are XXL, but this XXL was too large. I liked the color and material but it was too big in the sleeves, length and width. I'm not sure a XL would even fit.

Followed at home washing instructions perfectly- and the arms and side length shrunk. Wore once. Now vastly too small.

We have ordered these shirts in the past which were always of exceptional quality. This year, the shirt was indistinguishable from something purchased at discount big box store. While it was soft, it faded severely and pilled after just one wash! My other flannels from purchase in past years remain vibrant and without pilling after many years of washings.

Poorly sized and assembled. I had to return it. I felt like a child putting on my father's sleep shirt...and I am 6'5".

Way too large. I ordered three Mediums. I've been a Medium for 40+ years. Fit like a tent. Way too long. neck too big, waist too big. Returned them all. I'm guessing they were either miss-marked Larges or Medium Longs.
They were comfortable.

Quality is not what it was years ago. I bought 3 new flannels and had to return them, my wife washed them once and they started pilling, little balls all over. From 2014 to 2016, I purchased 7 flannels and they look better than the 3 new ones. Customer service was great, I was told maybe they were from a bad batch and to return them and they will send out 3 new ones. I'll see what happens when I receive them.

Poor sewing of the lapel button holes. They won't stay buttoned.

The last few of these that I bought became progressively rougher and scratchier with each wash, which I'm pretty sure is the opposite of what's supposed to happen. I just threw 2 of them away. Avoid.

There is a problem with the stitching next to the collar. I didn't notice it till after the first washing and l was ironing it. I hate sending things back, so l will try to fix it. I was very disappointed in it. We have ordered these shirts many times with no problem.

The shirt I received doesn't match the image of the color online. Much more green than pictured. Overall I guess it's just ok. Not worth the trouble to send back. Plus I had LL bean points to burn since they offer nothing of substance anymore.

Washed and dried this shirt as directed, but the sleeves shrank seriously and became too short after a wash or two.

We washed the shirt in a high quality washing machine according to directions before wearing it. We hung it wet to dry (we do these things to preserve the quality of shirts). Three quarters of the buttons were broken (with 1/2s or 1/3 of the button left intact). Abominable materials. DO NOT BUY!!!!!

The catalog photos with colors shown NOWHERE even close to actual shirt received. Those shown are very nice...while faded mix of colors in actuality....Not good. This comment is only applicable to: MacBeth Old Colours

The shirt is great quality and is true to size. The plaid, however, does not match well in the back and on the shoulders. I have purchased other Scotch Plaids from LLBean and the plaids are very nice. On this particular shirt, the plaid is definitely noticeably off.

LLBean is our go to place for clothing and this was our first disappointment. As with other reviews, the quality is not quite the same. Thankfully LLbean agreed to let us return the shirt! Thank you LLbean and I'm sure we will be looking for a replacement in time!
