Great shirt until it was washed; super faded. Not LL Beans usual quality.

I thought I had ordered just the pajama bottoms so I was surprised when the upper pajama top came as well with a button down collar. Who wears pajamas with a button down collar? I thought it was a dress shirt at first.

tall to big tried to exchange at store-they stated we do not accept mail-order returns. this has turned me off L.L.Bean-and i will relate my feelings to all my friends. i am not a mail-order setup to wrap, send to return. all other retail mail-order stores accept returns in store. i am truly disappointed and will contact upper level personnel about my concerns.

Ordered a medium, received a XXL. On top of that, I had to pay to return the item. One star. Do not recommend! Will never order from LL Bean again. Happy New Year

I bought this shirt a month ago for my son. He already has a few of these and they are great. Good quality cloth, nice design and warm. However, this one is not the same. Although the design is nice, and it fits well, the quality of the fabric leaves something to be desired. It is thinner than on the other shirts. It is quite visible and you can also feel it. It is disappointing.

Beans sold me a medium shirt which measures the same as older large size and left me uncompensated for the misfit and cost of mailing.

Well it's sad to say that the second shirt purchased (Light Gray Stewart) is no better than the Grey Stewart. In fact I think the pilling is worse on the Light Grey, it is absolutely horrible. What has happened to llbean? I will not wear this shirt out in public it is that bad. When I find another supplier of good Flannel Shirts these two will be getting returned at the nearest llbean store. And llbean and I are parting ways. There is no more trust in their quality.

Ordered two plaid flannels in exact same size but different colors. Fits were significantly different. Very disappointed in quality control given the price of the item. On top of that, LLBean makes you pay to return the defective item.

I ordered multiple items in an order, one which was a woman's robe which had a monogram and LLBean monogrammed a dark blue plaid men's shirt for my son with the same woman's name on it, in the same baby blue color thread used to monogram the robe. Dopes.

I'm giving up on LL Bean. I've accepted poor quality for the past couple of years and bought flannel shirts every autumn with the expectation I would be at least one winter out of them before they pilled, wrinkled and stiffened so badly I would then use as work shirts for another year. Now, they arrive thin and faded. The red/black plaid was especially poor quality and I'm returning. Save your money. There are competitors with better shirts for half the price. I'm done with LL Bean.

I've purchased these flannel shirts for years. I ordered two new shirts to replace ones that have worn out over the years. The Grey Stewart shirt is replacing one that was 7 years old and the elbows wore out. It's also the 3rd time replacing it as it is my favorite pattern. Unfortunately the one I received is not of the same quality. First I had to remove several loose threads sewn into the stitching. Second there is white backing fabric on the collar buttons that if you wear the shirt with the top button undone (who doesn't?) you see these visible white "dots". And finally the fabric is pilling and fuzzy after a few wears and 2 washings. While it is said that llbean has been using the same Portuguese fabric company for the past 10 years something has changed. I will be wearing the second shirt I purchased and if it also pills I will be returning both to the nearest llbean store. Spending $6.50 to return these shirts is just a slap in the face. I will not order these shirts again. I would rather llbean raised the price of the shirts and sold the same quality product it used to.

I have been buying LL Bean flannel shirts for years for my husband. This shirt is the first one that is not up to standard. The plaid lines are completely mismatched not even close.

I remember when these were the greatest shirts. Made in Canada, year after year. Solid quality shirts. Then they switched to an overseas manufacturer, which was a step down but, over time, they became the comfortable norm. There was a consistency among both every shirt, size wise, both across and within tartan designs. Then they switched to a second overseas manufacturer, and these are nowhere near the quality of the last manufacturer, let alone the Canadian one. They're terrible. The dimensions are inconsistent both within and across tartans and the flannel doesn't seem as nice. It's a shame. I've been wearing these shirts for at least 35 years. Please reconsider your commitment to quality control with these items. These are Heritage LL Bean shirts and should be treated as such. Make these a no compromise, high quality, dependable product (again). Charge more, if you have to. I suspect you won't lose money. I hope there is a day in the near future I am able to rate five stars every time I order one of these.

Bought two of the scotch plaid shirts in the last 2 months. Both have pilled after one washing. I have others that are years old that still look new. Guess they changed their offshore manufacturing location. Or are just using cheaper material. Either way I won't be buying anymore.

I tried to replace a great shirt I'd gotten years ago - the sizing had obviously changed and the quality deteriorated.
