Warm; good for Fall through Spring. It doesn't show in the picture, but the green color adds a little life.

This is a good quality flannel shirt compared to other flannel shirts that I have purchased. I can not speak for the life and wear of this shirt as I have only washed it several times but it still looks good after several washings and still fits the same. The price is a little high I think but if it wears well and lasts a long time then it is worth it, time will tell. It is also a nice warm shirt.

PRO: Fits well. Feels great. CON: Needs both cuff buttons moved inward for better fit, or add another button.

The shirt itself is made from lovely, high-quality fabric with a good plaid. But the sizing is Enormous! My husband is not a string bean and he was just swimming in the shirt. Not only was it built too wide with the shoulders about 4 inches off his actual shoulders, it was close to night shirt length. Tucking that much fabric into pants would have added the appearance of 20 pounds. I have ordered a size L and will return the XL. But calling this Traditional fit begs the question of What the Heck Tradition would this be?

L. L. Bean's flannel shirts are legendary. I like the slightly heavier weight fabric than what I find at many department stores. The shirt is well sown and stitched. The colors on this particular shirt are rich and deep. The red stripes of the plaid create a warm glow on the dark black fabric. My only concern is that the double button cuffs are sown for a tighter fit than on other Bean flannels that I own. I can usually wear the cuff with a little room to spare when it is buttoned on the tighter position. With this shirt, even on the looser position, the fit is still somewhat tight. Of course I can fix this myself; but the company might want to know that the manufacturing parameters may be changing at one of their shops.

I love these flannel tartans. This shirt is a replacement for a Black Stewart I've worn out. I like this one but I prefer the print on the older one.

The quality of this shirt is great. Nice weight and fabric. Would have given the highest rating except for one small issue. When buttoned, the top button is too low, leaving too much chest exposed.

Very nice shirt. Looked better to me in person when I got it than the picture. Comfortably warm as you would expect. Fit was a bit of a surprise. I have bought a number of different XX size items from Bean over the years. This is the first time I would it was a bit over sized. Both in the sleeve and shoulder but especially the sleeves. Sleeves could have been 1" to 1 1/2" shorter. But overall OK. I am keeping it. Just using the second button on the cuff.

Shirt was too big for me. I ordered XL Tall and should have ordered L Tall. The sleeves were too long and the chest was too big. I had to roll the sleeves up. Other than that it was a nice shirt.

We have many L.L. Bean flannel shirts. This one is made well, as usual. Fit is good. The colors are quite muted in comparison to the pictures. Also is a little scratchy compared to the others..

This is a really nice shirt. The quality and print are wonderful. However, I had to return it for a smaller size, because it was extremely big for me. Every shirt I own is an extra large, but I had to exchange this for a large. I haven't received the large yet, so I can't comment on the fit.

The products are still good quality, however they Do have more lint and fuzz up more than your products did a few years ago.

The quality and fabric color are great, but XL is WAY too large. I have found that LL Bean clothing sizes are ample.

Great workmanship on this shirt. Plaids matched, fabric had refined finish for flannel. Had to return it for "slightly fitted" size- just too wide a cut for my husband.

Shirt: Medium is too small and large is too big. I need neck 16" and sleeve 32" more room on the belly. Waist is 36". The large size, sleeves are too long and shoulder is too wide.

I am athletic build, broad shoulders and barrel chested. I ordered the large for ease of fit through shoulders and chest. LARGE fit like XL in other brands. Hoping to wash and shrink it down a bit. Otherwise, Love the color, warmth and overall quality of this shirt! L.L.Bean fan for Life!!!

Wearing right now. Good fit. Comfortable. Looks good, too. It's relatively warm today, so no sweater. Very happy.

I normally wear a large, but this shirt was a tent on me. I washed it normal with all my colors and dried it normal. It shrunk a lot on the first wash/dryer. It's now almost the size of the Medium. Which I also ordered the medium to see. out of the bag the medium fits correct but is a tad too tight for me. I'm not 30 years old and 160lbs anymore. My advice: By the large, then wash it and dry it normal. It'll shrink to what a Large size should be. Buyer beware.
