bought this shirt for my husband for Christmas. I already took a sneak feel. It is vey soft and feels like a nice wt. Colors are cheery but not too bright. Cant wait for him to open it and wear.

I'm enjoying my new flannel shirt now that the weather has turned colder. It is also a very handsome shirt and has gathered more than a few admiring comments from my friends, both men and women. I have washed it once and it held up to that as well as I expected it would based upon my experiences with other shirts I've purchased from LL Bean.

I bought this plaid flannel shirt for myself - I love it, it's classic. The reason I bought a men's shirt though, is because llbean women's version in the past several years has not been in the classic color palette/style that they used to carry. The colors in the women's style this season are more what I've been looking for this year, but I don't care for the fitted style. So I just buy a smaller men's size.

Wonderful overall quality of workmanship, there were no hanging threads or buttons that fall off after wearing. The fabric has a nice hand even after washing. It just works. This is why my wife and I shop at L.L. Beans !

Ordered this shirt --and returned it as I already owned the same color ! Ordered another color of the same shirt style which was promptly delivered... I do wish the flannel was a heaver fabric, but the shirt is excellent none the less!

Good shirt, but the sleeves are slightly shorter than some others and did also shrink up a bit after washing. But the colors are vibrant and the quality is great.

I bought this for a Christmas present. So, I cannot rate it fully,But the colors are bright and the fabric is soft to the touch.

Bought 4 of these--2 for my 13 year old and 2 for my husband. They love them. The shirts washed beautifully, they did shrink a little and the colors are very nice. It's a light layer, not a heavy flannel.

Material is excellent, as are quality and construction of the shirt. It is very comfortable to wear. But, the single pocket is too high on the shirt, should be an inch or more lower, seems like everything the goes into the pocket bounces off my collarbone. I would also like to see the shirt with 2 flap pockets rather than a single open pocket.

Bought for my husband on spur of moment and he really was pleased with the softness of fabric and length of shirt tails.

With winter fast approaching, I was looking for warmth and comfort. I reviewed the ad, and decided to try this shirt. Upon timley arrival, I wore the shirt, and was more than satisfied with my purchase. Color and fit were what I expected, and I intend to purchase additional shirts in the future

The shirt has vibrant colors and a stylish button down collar. The flannel is soft against the skin. It could be a little thicker for winter warmth. The buttons are stitched on securely. The shirt's quality makes it well worth the price.

Because this is a Christmas present, I haven't seen this on my husband yet. He had a shirt like this from L.L. Bean back in the late 70s and loved it. Can't wait to see his surprise when he opens the box.

If you have a nice blue or green sweater you need this shirt to compliment it.

I tend to agree with other comments that the flannel these days is no longer the nice thick stuff. and that is the only reason I gave this item a four star rating. Otherwise it is a five-star. The plaids offered at LLBean are still beautifully traditional with rich colors, and once it is washed and dried this shirt will be fluffier. The thinner flannel is probably more useful if one layers it beneath sweaters. I still recommend it. Workmanship is high quality. LLBean is one of few places that offers high quality menswear in Small. Thank you LLBean!

Great shirt, large size is accurate. Soft, well-made flannel shirt that I hope to get some good years of wear out of.

Feels like one of your old time favorites right from the package. Washes well and come out of the dryer looking great. Soft and warm, at the right price. Terrific.

The shirt was nice out of the bag: XL size, esp. sleeve length which is a problem for me, was perfect. But with a flannel shirt you really can't tell how good it is until it's been washed a dozen times or so. After two washings: so far, so good.

I'll have to upgrade to an XL. The large shrank just a bit too much for comfort. Also, the white backing for the collar buttons is a little unsightly. Probably will donate to charity - it's a good shirt - and buy the XL.

This is a good, soft, mid-weight flannel: heavy enough to be warm and comfortable but not too thick or stiff (like chamois cloth). I feared the cut might be too square and boxy but it is slightly tapered so it doesn't balloon when tucked in. The seams, construction, and weight seem to indicate it will last well and not fall apart in just a couple years; time will tell.

I bought this for my son. He liked it although he felt it was a little too long.
