This is the second pair of McGuffey shoes that I have purchased. I bought them and a pair of the tan skull embossed shoes and like the skull embossed shoes, they squeak from the INSIDE of the shoe, and I've only worn them 4 times over the course of several years. I bought them to wear to Coronado because they are great looking. They just seem to come apart and make noises. I was in a Dillard's and the person there said that they get a lot of the McGuffeys back. Very disappointed.

The shoes broke mid aspect after less than 3 weeks of light use. Fortunately the customer service team was kind and allowed for a return. Will not buy the brand anymore. Realized that paying more e.g. EA brand is totally worth it

Way too tight on the top of your foot. Uncomfortable.

I wore these shoes 30 years I order same shoe but in wide width and I look like a clown in them I ware 10.5 my grandson ware a 12 and these shoes fit him when they came in I took them out now thru now and recite away so I guess I'm stuck with shoes that I can't ware and grandson want ware

These shoes arrived looking like this; the left shoe looks brand new the right shoe looks like somebody wore it to a party. This pair was sent to me as a replacement for a defective pair on which the stitching was coming unraveled after less than a half dozen uses. Having been a JM customer for many, many years, I am extremely disappointed in the customer service and failure of attention to detail in transactions with the McGuffey.

Bought the McGuffey shoe a few months ago. Wore them maybe a dozen of times. The liner on the inside has pulled away from the shoe and now flaps. I owned many shoes from JM and this is the first time I've experienced an issue with a product.

Bought these 5 months ago, they've never stopped squeaking. Sole-to-floor squeaking, not internal slipping. Grip-release of the floor squeaks every single step, Also, much smaller than my last pair of slip on JM's. I hate them.

I love the fit, style, and comfort, but the soles on these shoes sounds like you're ripping duct tape off of the floor as you walk around the office. They squeak awl full. It's really embarrassing and I can't wear them because of it. I would like to return them.

Not my style, not comfortable

I generally love your shoes and have several pair. These were well below the normal comfort I experience with JM shoes so I returned them. Minimal arch support and leather was not as soft as I expected from this kind of slip on shoe.

Very bad shoes in quality and made. I ordered same shoe in different sizes and all were of different qualities. Such a big difference in quality wise. I never thought Johnston murphy would compromise it's quality but I'm so sad to say that the Johnston murphy is not the same anymore standard wise.

Very disappointed. I have been buying your shoes for years. This was junk and fell apart in about one month. I am not considering any further products from your business.

I bought these because they were very comfortable and I liked the look. It's a shoe that could work with a suit just as much as it could everyday clothes. Within 3 months however, of maybe wearing them only 2 or 3 days each week, the sides flared out at the inner edge of the insole, and the binding around the elastic began to rip off! I would upload photos if the review allowed for it. And I see so many glowing reviews on here too! So I'm unfortunately really disappointed with this purchase and wouldn't recommend.

Soles are coming off after only two months. Poor quality. I expected better from J&M

These look so much worse in person. Truly a vile piece of footwear. Avoid.

These are terrible shoes. Wore them 2 days & gave me plantar fasciitis. I was a loyal J&M customer for lace up formal shoes but no more. The customer service wouldn't even answer calls or call back. I'm a loyal J&M customer with plenty formal shoes & clothing. This is the first time I purchased casual/slip on from J&M & have a terrible plantar fascitis only after wearing it for two full days. I can't bear the thought to wear them anymore & easily the worst shoes I've ever purchased.

I used it for one day and it tore off my skin on the back. I have a similar one from Ecco and have had no problem. I am disappointed, but perhaps others may have had different outcome.

I need to send them back and get larger and wider sizes
