I have been wearing Asics for a long time now so I know my size in running shoes. I'm no longer running, but I'm on my feet a lot at work. These sneakers are perfect for me.

Very light and comfortable shoes. Quality is great except big toe area, my last pair got a hole there, wish they could cover upper toe side with coating or something. Runs little small, so consider half size up. Overall great shoes for the autumn and winter.

After putting these on, they feel a bit more pointed in the toe than it would seem by the picture. The tapered toe results in a narrower toe box area that I would have preferred. I think they'll stretch out a bit so I decided to keep them. Happy overall.

The toe box seems to have narrowed a bit from the Venture 7. Too bad because I had finally found a shoe in the Venture 7 with adequate width in the toe box in 4E and I may have to go looking again. Still wearable but not quite as comfortable as they used to be.

I wore these shoes all summer and loved them till I didn't. The last month or so I can't wear them anymore. My hips get all sore and stiff. I belive it is from how the insole crushed over time.

I've been wearing ASICS GELs for several years now. This one felt great right out of the box which is what I've become used to with ASICS. Great value in this shoe that I wear daily for 3-5 miles for brisk walks with my dogs. The only negative I have found is the shoe laces are much too thin and get knotted too easily. I found inexpensive replacements, Delele on Amazon, that work great.

These replaced previous pair of Asics for power walking, everyday use. Had to return New Balance, same size and width but fit was not right. Please give Amber 5 stars for working with me over the phone. Finding the Asics. Returning the NB. She was as good as it gets in a day and age where customer service can really suck. I like the entire Zappos culture. You're fair, competitive and top shelf on customer service. I'll be back...and I don't say that easily. Never a big fan of online purchases when I can buy local. In this case, more than worth it.

I like these shoes. They cost less than half my usual casual walking shoe. I immediately replaced the insole with some Dr. Scholl's inserts. These are lightweight comfortable walking around shoes. The shoes were quite comfortable for the first week, but the tongue is rather thin, so be careful because the laces will cut through the tongue. The toe box is also comfortable, but not overly wide. I have big feet and pronate, but these shoes have great stability.

Finally opened the box and tried these on, Feel great and support is awesome...other pair of Asics Gel held up for a year, up 3+ miles per day pandemic walking, rain snow mud gravel walking path...time for the feet to look fresh again!

This the first Gel-Venture 8 purchased and my fifth pair of ASICS (Previous pairs are the Gel-Venture 7).
- I will be upfront in saying that these sneakers are cut slightly smaller and my toes are touching the front. Possibly (and hopefully) one a few to be that way.
- The cushioning is exactly the same as all others purchased... PERFECT! Great support front to back, top to bottom.
- I would however love to see ALL standard (Med/D) and wide (4E) widths, have the same design options available. Even bringing back some of the previous color options from the "7" series would be great.
- In all... these sneakers are a great buy and I have suggested this model to my family, friends and neighbors.
- Another plus to be greatly appreciated.... Making this model available in *ALL* New York City locations.

The fit was Ok, but did feel about a half size smaller and narrower than marked. That being said the style is very good.. The shoe was also a very good bargain.
