Cute shoe, a little too big. Although I like this shoe a lot ,not sure it’s worth 178$. The back material looked kind of wrinkled - maybe worn previously?

the shoes were nice and sturdy for ballet style shoes. however the left side felt a full size bigger than the foot, while the right was just right. this is especially strange considering my left foot is bigger than my right foot and usually the reverse is true. the support feels nice although the lining is glued onto the bottom of the shoes and the edges not sealed.

These are really nice, well-made shoes but they dont work for my feet or how I walk for some reason. They slip off my heal when I walk. Unfortunately I had to return them. I think I need flats that have the little criss cross laces so they stay on my feet.

The shape wasnt what I expected theyre much longer and pointy than I expected. I thought they were shorter and rounded at the tip. Thats totally a personal preference. The thing Im really struggling with is they havent broken in yet and it almost feels like theyre getting worse. It rubs the top of my left foot to the point I cant wear them. I purchased these because they offer w wide size but they still seems to be too narrow.

These shoes are absolutely lovely, the leather perfectly soft, and they look great on the foot. The size 40 fit my 9-9.5 foot perfectly, but unfortunately, the narrow width was still too wide for my foot-they slipped right off my heel when I walked. I wanted to love these shoes so much, but alas, I'm returning them.

I got these in Black. They are a lot nicer than the average ballet flats. They have a comfortable, cushy sole but were too long. They are made in Spain and in most European made shoes I wear 36. According to the size chart, that was size 6- same as my American size. However, when I tried them on and began to walk on the carpet, they would not say on- they were slipping off my heels. I probably need to do go down a half size. So I will be returning them.

I have wide feet and I usually wear 8.5 wide or 9 regular. I ordered 8.5 Wide and it was way too narrow and felt slightly smaller than my usual. My foot looked horrible in the shoe. The sole is rather stiff as well, and I anticipate it will be slippery in carpet. Craftsmanship is otherwise very nice. Too bad I have to send them back. (for reference - I also ordered Margaux the classic in 9 wide, that was a better fit length wise, but also not wide enough).

Beautiful shoes to look at, but some major flaws. The inside of the shoe is lined with fabric, so that the shoe slipped around on my foot and didn't mold to it. Also, the shoes do not bend which is always a flaw for me.

I love the overall look, they are exactly the way I pictured them. It's just the sizing that's a bit of an issue for me. I was glad there was such detailed direction on how to choose one's size and I followed the whole thing with measuring up the length and width of each foot. I ended up with size 40 which is my normal size and they arrived a little large still. As I live far from the US (this pair took more than 2 months to arrive) so returning it is not a practical option. I think I would have to settle with shoe paddings to fill the gaps.

I recently purchased my first pair of ballet flats in the black leather and although the leather itself was extremely soft and beautiful, I had to return them. I really wanted these to work for me but the ribbon trim along the shoe kept cutting into my heel every time I took a step and it was too painful to justify keeping the shoe.

My review is not for Margaux! Margaux is amazing. I love the company and I love the customer service. I also love their products. I don't know exactly how to describe it, but the back of the shoe simply falls off and does not stay on, no matter how small of a size I get. I just walk right out of them, even when the front is too small. I'm sure this won't make any sense if that hasn't happened to you before, but, if it has, you'll know exactly what I mean. Also, there's one more down side to buying these shoes. Although they'll keep sending you new pairs to try on at no shipping charge if you send them back the ones that don't fit, if you don't exchange them for another pair, you'll get whacked with a $10- restocking fee.

I bought a basic black ballet flat and it is just perfect. I ordered the recommended size and the fit is nice. The heel is just a little low but you get used to it. The only reason I gave this a three instead of a five is that the bottom of the shoe is peeling off- almost like there is a plastic film on the bottom. When I crossed my legs at a dinner party someone told me I had something on my shoe as If I stepped on something sticky. Other than that I would highly recommend.

Their size recommendations (and perhaps European to US conversion?), were definitely off. So just ordered their largest size (not their recommendation) but still snug/narrow. Had them stretched and now they're ok. A nicely made and attractive shoe, but their wide is definitely not my wide. Recommending with these cautions.

These fit weird and didn't stay on my feet even with them tightened. They had good arch support but just weren't working well for me at all. The color was also not as described--looked much duller and brown (got the pink)
