This is my 5th 990 sneaker. I am very happy with the performance. They are stable and afford good cushioning. I walk in them every day about 4 miles and they consistently last 5-6 months. Will buy again

I like very much this shoe , fits perfect, but is never on sale

I use this shoe for running. It feels great and I would recommend this product for any runner.

What prompted me to look into these shoes was a program I was watching which showed the NB manufacturing process here in America. I decided I owed myself a good sneaker so I took the plunge. I was pleasantly surprised by how well these sneakers fit as my size sometimes causes issues (9 wide). Without a break-in period, I wore these all day and was on my feet most of the time. They never bothered my feet, and my back wasn't killing me at the end of the day. The most expensive pair of shoes I've ever purchased but I can honestly say it was worth it.

For how many years (probably into double digits) I have bought the same shoe and have NEVER been disapointed. Well, different colors of course.

I was told this the most comfortable shoe ever. I decided to try it, but was skeptical since I have a lot of foot pain. These fantastic! I recommend them to everyone now.

New Balance is the only company that sales a running shoes that fit me and is comfortable enough to run in.

It is hard to find American made products especially sneakers, so glad I can proudly wear New Balance made in the USA, they feel great and look good too.

I have tired other models but I keep coming back to the 990. It is comfortable and durable. Worth the cost.

I have been wearing the 990 for many years. I wear the Made in USA 990 with Made in USA Socks and Made in USA Insoles. I can walk over 2000 miles per year. The only issue is they wear out and I have to get another pair. I typically walk on pavement so I need the shock absorption and since I want to walk every day stability helps to prevent any misstep or injury. This line of shoes was recommended to me by New Balance several years ago and they do make a difference.

Very comfortable to wear and walk and run in them. However the mesh at the medial side of my toes usually perforates after several years.

Running is great with these shoes. I have been buying these shoes for years and the quality is consistently great!

For power walking and walking in general. Good pair.

These are walking shoes and I've been walking 5-7 miles a day. I'm 73 years old and these are as comfortable as anything I've walked in! Love the color and the fit!

My new 990's fit and feel great. They give my surgically altered feet relief when I walk and with the lower heel of a walking shoe I am not at as great a risk for getting off balance, which is a concern for me at my age. The shoes appear to be well made and they look good, too.

This is the third pair of 990's that I have purchased first pair of v5. Same wonderful fit and support. I wear these shoes everyday, for any and all activities. Just the best pair of shoes I have ever owned.

... and will do so again and again. Please don't change a thing. I don't want visual flash in a walking shoe - just sturdy support and great comfort.

I have a number of foot issues, diabetes and Plantar fasciitis to name the two most prominent issues. The shoes have alleviated the heel pain

Made-in-the-USA, Made-in-the-USA, Made-in-the-USA, !!!!

Made in USA with EU materials. I have problems with my feet and I love these shoes. Yes they cost a little more but that is because US and EU employees earn more and have better benefits. I have 3 pair and love them. My wife and I both love New Balance.

I had a bit of a fiasco finding the right shoe. It took many, many conversations to get to it. My old shoe was a 1226...discontinued. The replacement 1260 was discontinued. The 860 suggestion was too soft. Apparently running shoes in general have shifted softer. The 1540 was a bit too stiff. But, the 990 is JUST RIGHT! That said, it too WAY too long to figure all this out. I'd suggest New balance improve its shoe suggestion capabilities. All that said, super happy with the 990...as long as they don't discontinue it !

Excellent fit, very comfortable. Great for running or walking.
