Purchased these for my sons 25th birthday. His first pair lasted about 3 years and he wears them everyday. The shoes are a little pricey but great quality. I love that they are made in the USA! So tired of supporting other countries who hate us.

I walk most days of the week I am not a runner any longer. Very comfortable shoes to wear on all types surfaces.

It is my every day shoe. I have a 20 year old pair of dress shoes that I can wear for short dress-up occasions. I have a custom made pair of ballroom dance shoes I wear for an hour per week. Your 990v5's are like a custom made shoe. They fit my 4E feet. I feel good about my purchase when it is American Made. Delivery was faster than expected.

I walk about 500 miles a month, and I have very wide feet. I used to wear 4E wide Brooks shoes, but my right foot became very sore. I switched to NB 990v5 with a 6E width, and the soreness in my right foot went a away in a week.

These sneakers are truly great for general walking and exercise as well as sharp enough to wear out doing things. I have enjoyed great comfort, unlike some other brands, and will most likely stay with New Balance. Made in the US version clearly a cut above the rest!

I go through 2 pair every year for the past several years, putting several hundred miles on each pair. Never any issues!

I was having a problem with an extremely sore foot. MRI X-ray showed nothing. PT visits with exercise and massage didn't help. PT asked an orthopedist and he recommended 990v4. From the time I first put them on pain went away and is gone as long as I'm wearing them.

Bought the 990v5 for casual everyday use, no special need. Offered in several wide versions (needed) and American made (sought after for all purchases now) ... at least 70% anyway. Grey color very nice, softer looking that white so it matches up with more shirt options. Very comfortable, almost like a slipper if laces are let out a bit, yet you can tighten them up. I have low ankles, so the ankle cut works just right. A bit pricey, but you generally get what you get. All in all, very satisfied.

This shoe helped my knees. I weigh over 220 lbs and other shoes, while comfortable, did not protect my knees. Online purchase allowed me to buy the 2E width while stores only seem to have the 4E width. The shoe wears well and remains comfortable to walk in. I have several pairs that have lasted for years. Years for walking not running. They are still good for at least 300 + miles running.

I use these shoes for walking and styling. They are very comfortable and attractive, in my opinion. I have had the 993 (which are old and beat up, but I just can't seem to part with them because they are so comfortable), and I am about to purchase another pair in black/gray, the 990v4 and now the 990v5. I have also purchased the 990v5 for my husband. I love, love, this shoe and I highly recommend them.

I use the shoes for fast walking and bike riding. They provide great support for both.

i would like a variety of colors. latest selection leaves a lot to be desired. previous purchases of 990v5 offered some great colors. in red, burgundy and and purple.
