This could really be the perfect Vans slip on. Except that the sewn-in heel support is so poorly executed that I get bloody blisters on my heel every time I wear them. If Van's ever fixes this problem, this would be my perfect shoe.

I got 2 days' worth of wear on these before a large hole of wear came in on the side of the shoe. I expect this kind of wear from my shoes but after 2 days of use I would expect the fabric to hold. I got these from my local shop and would have stuck with the Skate old Skool model had they been available.

They look fantastic but hurt. If you do get them maybe a size up or 2.

Got these for my Nephew he like to skateboard a lot and goes the the skate park so decided to get him the shoes since their skate boarding shoe should last a bit longer from what I remember when I used to ware when i skated after a few uses to the park some how the sole started to fall apart so not sure if it's the quality not as good as before or he just skate boards way to much

Liked the shoe, really nice colors. However, the shoe is not very comfortable. I wore it out for an evening and my feet hurt after 3 hours.

bought online under the sale tab and i feel the discount was because the shoe had a defect. same thing happened with some adidas i got, eh. Maybe just a coincidence but I was too eager to skate and dealt with it. now Im living with a regret. Half the rating since the other shoe feels fine

The material inside feels very rough. keeps rubbing against the little toe on both sides, had to put pieces of moleskin padding all over inside shoes so to prevent blisters and irritating feet .

These would be great in an ALL heavy 10oz canvas or textile, even down to the fox stripe and NO animal products (no suede). I've been requesting a vegan version of a hi sk8 for no less than 2 years and it continues to fall on deaf ears. Vans simply refused to do this and in regular black/white and darkgray/white hi sk8. Doesn't have to be special bmx or anything, nothing fancy. Just common sense sales of a regular on the roster shoe for its vegan CA native clientele. They are a southern CA company after all.

I saw these shoes , great color, and they are on sale. However, if they are .5cents less 5 cents 80.00 to 79.95 What the heck?

I agree with the other negative reviews here. These shoes are extremely tight and uncomfortable, in part due to the way the tongue is held in place by being stitched into the bottom of the shoe. Doesn't fit like the old sk8-hi shoes I have.

I have been wearing Vans for over 20 years. So originally I had the classic slip on style of this shoe and had it in my cart. Went to check out and the stock was sold out. Tried again when I saw the size I needed was back in stock, placed the order and paid. Waited for the shoes to arrive only to find out my order was cancelled. Saw the high tops and ended up setting. I caved and later bought the high top glow skulls. Tried to break these shoes in for over a week and there is absolutely no give to them. There was no way I could return them at this point, so I cut 2 stitches out of the inner side where the tongue begins in the shoe and it is soo much better. Sad that I had to carve the shoes up to "make them comfortable" but it worked. Definitely won't buy these again and after reading the review on the slip on glow skull it seems I made a better choice. Disappointed in you Vans, do better.

I've worn vans for almost 2 decades and never had issues with them but this pair in particular fit terribly. Build quality seems legit but I do not have wide feet and do not wear wide sized shoes, but these are extremely tight at the widest part of the foot and seem extremely narrow. To the point of wearing them for multiple hours becomes painful. A little disappointing to say the least.

i just got these, tried them on and couldn't even stand having them on for a few minutes. the top needs to be looser to make up for the cushion.

As others have stated: these are too tight. I even order a half size larger than I normally wear and they're just too d**n tight. They cause blisters on the heel. The insert is thicker without making tweaks and accommodations to the actual shoe. 10/10 do not recommend and wish Vans would consider redesign this line.

I have nothing to say other than complete disappointment. His shoes are wonderful to look at and that is it. It appears the whole Van's line has been overhauled with cheap foot beds and any semblance of craftsmanship and comfort has been destroyed. The shoes are no longer functional. There hasn't been a good pair of shoes since the Kyle walkers, which might have been the most amazing shoes ever made. I'm so sorry to write this review as Vans is an icon. I pray someone top down pays attention. You're about to lose your base.

Vans changed their shoe fitment a few years back. The skate shoes are super tight and rip your heal up.

Bring the pro line back. These shoes are absolutely terrible! I've replaced my black pros with the gum sole just the same for so many years and this year I'm so disappointed to see what's available. I've even checked other stores to avoid buying this shoe hoping by some chance they have the pros left. I'm just shocked vans would even put out something that's this terrible in quality. I picked up the closest comparison in store to see if maybe I could go with this shoe and in 2 seconds I see a big chunk of exposed glue from the sole to the inside of the shoe. The eyelets are exposed and not stitched close properly. And the gum sole is not the same, yo! This gum sole looks green/brown. It's like some sort of weird sickly color. These are awful! I'm questioning vans as a whole now and that is for real so heart breaking for me, but ding! This sucks!

I've had my pair of skate slip-ons for 2+ years and have worn them only 4x in that period (2 each Summer). For starters, the shoes are too tight; I even tried shoe stretchers to no avail. I bought the same size in other style Vans slip-ons previously without any issues in fit & wear. Additionally, all 4x's I've worn them resulted in loss of skin & blisters on both heels. Vans should consider recalling this product.

I wear Vans 4 days a week at work, where I'm on my feet for 6hrs. This is my 4th pair. The first two were Made for the Makers 2.0 because they were non-slip and super comfortable. After I couldn't get a 3rd pair, I then tried a Courage Adams BMX shoe, which were rugged but less comfortable. The top of the shoe would rub against the top of my foot so I had to find a very thin sock to wear to minimize the discomfort. This time out I went for a skate slip-on, and was excited to rock the new pair. But these are the most painful. There is a strip that runs along the inside back of the shoe, almost like a reinforced seam, which is tearing me up. I have tried bandages on the back of my foot, but they get worn off by the strip. I can't endure another shift with these shoes. Please consider bringing back the Made for the Makers 2.0. They were the most comfortable and easy to clean Vans, I loved them. I'm doing my best to remain loyal to the brand, but I need a comfortable pair.

The person(s) that made the decision to change the Pro to whatever abomination this is should immediately be sent packing. How are you going to take a masterpiece of a shoe and turn it into this dumpster fire? Is the new lower price because these shoes are trash and you gotta move a bunch of units?! Ten thousand thumbs down.

Wow, cute classic looking shoe but this fit is NOT it. It's so painful, I thought maybe I can break them in but a week and half in the back of my foot is still being rubbed raw. These hurt, Wish I can return but I've worn them already. The top of my foot is so tight as well. I'm not happy with this purchase at all. :(

These are the only vans shoes that have hurt my feet, the inside has a sharp seam that dug into the top of my foot through socks

They're made with pretty cheap suede on the inside and it gorilla grips to your socks and feet while your trying to put them on, if you don't want to unlace the entire shoe to get it on, good luck getting it on at all

Bought the shoe and when I started to ride init shoe literally feels there is a pointy rock shoving and rubbing into my lower pinky toe very painful but I want to like it but can't get over this. Note: literally says worlds #1 skateboarding shoe in the world, maybe in disappointment but not in quality
