I wear Vans 4 days a week at work, where I'm on my feet for 6hrs. This is my 4th pair. The first two were Made for the Makers 2.0 because they were non-slip and super comfortable. After I couldn't get a 3rd pair, I then tried a Courage Adams BMX shoe, which were rugged but less comfortable. The top of the shoe would rub against the top of my foot so I had to find a very thin sock to wear to minimize the discomfort. This time out I went for a skate slip-on, and was excited to rock the new pair. But these are the most painful. There is a strip that runs along the inside back of the shoe, almost like a reinforced seam, which is tearing me up. I have tried bandages on the back of my foot, but they get worn off by the strip. I can't endure another shift with these shoes. Please consider bringing back the Made for the Makers 2.0. They were the most comfortable and easy to clean Vans, I loved them. I'm doing my best to remain loyal to the brand, but I need a comfortable pair.

The person(s) that made the decision to change the Pro to whatever abomination this is should immediately be sent packing. How are you going to take a masterpiece of a shoe and turn it into this dumpster fire? Is the new lower price because these shoes are trash and you gotta move a bunch of units?! Ten thousand thumbs down.

Wow, cute classic looking shoe but this fit is NOT it. It's so painful, I thought maybe I can break them in but a week and half in the back of my foot is still being rubbed raw. These hurt, Wish I can return but I've worn them already. The top of my foot is so tight as well. I'm not happy with this purchase at all.

These are the only vans shoes that have hurt my feet, the inside has a sharp seam that dug into the top of my foot through socks

Had these for two years and they didn't last as long as a regular pair of vans slip ons for half the price not worth it

They're made with pretty cheap suede on the inside and it gorilla grips to your socks and feet while your trying to put them on, if you don't want to unlace the entire shoe to get it on, good luck getting it on at all

Bought the shoe and when I started to ride init shoe literally feels there is a pointy rock shoving and rubbing into my lower pinky toe very painful but I want to like it but can't get over this. Note: literally says worlds #1 skateboarding shoe in the world, maybe in disappointment but not in quality

Uncomfortable, cheap, and difficult to put on. I bought these since the Sk8-Hi Pro's are discontinued. After wearing this shoe for about 6 months my experience with this updated version is awful. It takes too much effort to put shoes on & take off. The elastic that holds the tongue in the center makes it difficult. Like, I have to strain with mild force to put these on, I never had to do that with the Sk8-Hi Pro's.. Comfort practically gone. Feet hurt after wearing for 2 hours. I've been wearing Vans for over 10+ years, might not ever buy vans again.

I have been wearing Sk8-Hi Pros for decades now and was bummed when they were discontinued. I finally bit the bullet and decided to give these a shot.
These are by a wide margin the most uncomfortable things I have ever put on my feet. The seam where the tongue and vamp meet dig mercilessly into the bones of my feet, The suede is cheap, and the only thing the tongue strap is good for is screwing up your socks making them even more uncomfortable.
To say I was gutted would be an understatement. These are the first pair of Van's I've ever returned and most likely the last pair I'll ever purchase.

The shape of the heel and the collar create a ton of friction. Even with socks, the shoes cause such severe blisters that the shoes are unwearable.

I've always loved my Vans slip ons, but the newer ones give me instant heel blisters. I don't know if it's due to the new height of heel backing as mentioned by other reviewers, or the new leather accent around the inside. Either way, super disappointed.

The "pro" or "skate" Old Skool do not fit like the regular ones. They run small, fitting very tight in the toe area. Recommend sizing up a half size.

This redesign is terribly uncomfortable and much narrower then the original Pro's. I've owned ten pairs of these in the past and will now be looking to other shoe manufacturers. You have lost a long time customer.

I really love this shoe but I love the bottom sole because it has a shine to it and when I picked up it was just a dull black and I was upset to learn that they took it off because people didn't like the shine!!

I wanted Chima Pro 2 but they were discontinued. Old Skools have clingy plastic your sock hangs on and no eyelets. Its a pain putting them on.

I purchased this pair in the same size I had been getting the classic Sk8-His and the old Pros in for years. After around twenty minutes of walking on nothing more than flat ground these became extremely uncomfortable to even walk in. I had to take out the PopCush insoles they came with just to walk back to my car due to the level of discomfort.
If was still able to I would be returning these immediately and not recommending them to other Vans shoppers. Very disappointing given the previous consistency regarding sizing and quality Vans has had in the past.
At best I would give them a few stars due to the style and colors still looking nice.

Unfortunately I lost my receipt otherwise I would have returned these instantly after wearing them for a few days. The vans store I went wouldn't help me at all because I already wore them. Need to put bandaids and Neosporin on my heels now.

There is something wrong with these shoes. I have the exact same shoes in a different color that fit great. But I've ordered 3 different pair of the black on black with glossy outsoles and every pair has had some sort of production error.
Super disappointed, they look awesome and my other pair feel great.

I was so excited to add another pair of Vans to my collection, but only about 6 weeks into owning these, they're already falling apart. I might be more apt to believe this, but the only thing I have been doing with them is wearing them to school and maybe the occasional walk around the block. I don't skate in them or put them through intense wear and tear. Pretty saddened by this. However, I did call to talk to customer service about it, and they were very helpful in getting me a return label and a full refund without further explanation. I'm still on the fence about whether or not to get another pair from here after the refund.
