The rubber part fell Off in less than a month and they gave me the wrong size and then wouldn't let me swap it out

My other half cabs are either 9 or 9.5. I got this pair in a size 9. Too small so I sent them back and ask for 9.5. 9.5 is too small. Their tightest can be they hurt and it's not just that I have to wear them for a while until they loose it up. They are straight up too small. I really don't understand sizing with this company anymore. It's like there's absolutely zero quality control over wherever they have little kids making these things for three cents a day... Absolutely no quality control anymore.

Im so disappointed in these, I've had multiple pairs of half cabs over the years, but these literally fell apart after only a few months of wear. Holes through the bottom of each shoe. Especially with how expensive half cabs have gotten, having this pair fall apart after less than 6 months is honestly unacceptable. I expect better from vans. Also apparently reviews get turned down when you call out the actual price of the shoe, which is an incredibly shady practice.

I was stoked to try these Half Cabs. They're super narrow. Not true to size. I were 12s in every pair /style of Van's. I cannot squeeze my foot into this. It's extremely tight and has no give. Sending them back. So, I ordered a pair of 13s a few days ago, then got an email today from Van's saying my order was canceled due to Insufficient inventory. Yet the website still shows them as available today..

I have been buying Vans Halfcab since they went to the pro style and loved those shoes. However these new Skate halfcabs are a step in the wrong direction from what they used to be. First off the shoe feels super stiff and has no play with them like the old Halfcab Pro's, they are way to narrow from what they used to be, the rear heal area of the shoe splits open after only a couple of weeks wearing them, and the red tounge straps that attach to the tounge make these shoes super uncomfortable. I dont know what happend to these shoes and if Vans went with cheaper materials or what but these skate halfcabs need to be discontinued and the Half Cab Pros need to come back. Vans had literally the perfect shoe to skate/wear for everyday wear but now they are a pain to just get on and let alone feel comfortable in.

Too bad it's come to this. From an otherwise amazing product/company we get complete garbage from China.

The heel on the back totally split on the 5th time wearing these and I wasn't even skating! Super disappointed and really makes me not wanna buy any other vans shoe. Just not worth the risk. Why would I spend money on a shoe that's just gonna break right away? Was pretty bummed to give vans a shot after seeing how long they've been around for. I was expecting better. Can't recommend Vans to anyone at this point.

They split at the rear the first time I put them on.

They were true to size, and I loved the color. The problem was in the stitching on the top, it was uneven on one shoe and with the white thread it was very obvious. I had to drive over an hour to the nearest store to exchange them, they didn't have the half cab in stock so I went with the same color in the classic vans.

I honestly love Vans and I own over 40 pairs and consider myself a novice collector. I normally buy authentic's and I love the Authentic 44's because of their solid build, but I wanted to check out the hype I heard about the Half-Cabs and they seemed iconic. They are comfortable and stylish but I can't get past the fact that the top of the heel split after wearing only three times. The first time I put them on I noticed they were quite stiff so I even loosened the laces so I didn't have to force them in. I am guessing this is a defect for this pair, but I am not happy about it. I suggest you just be careful when buying these as I see in the reviews I am not the only one who has had this issue. I did buy another pair because I like the style but I am very nervous about what will happen this time.

The good thing about these shoes is that my son loves how they look. The bad thing is they have defective construction and split in the back after only being worn a few times. I returned the first pair and ordered another thinking this problem applied only to the first pair. However, upon receipt of the second pair, the exact same thing happened.

I've been wearing vans since I was 12 and now I am 46. I'm very disappointed in the quality of the shoes now but I still would love to support vans.

I've worn Cabs since the 80's and always loved them. The most recent pair I bought immediately split in back at the ankle, a problem most reviewers have cited here. I decided to live with it and now the whole sole of the right shoe has just peeled away and is falling out of the side rubber cap. Based on my experience and the other reviews, it's pretty clear there's been a marked decline in quality or attention to detail at Vans. Super bummed

I have been wearing the old half cabs for the past 2 years but the soul started to come apart, so I bought these thinking they were the same. They are not the same!! I thought the looked kind of weird, so I put them on and I instantly noticed they were way too tight. I could barely move my toes. And I also noticed how this the material was, it felt cheap. I'm very disappointed, I was exited to get a new pair of half cabs and now I can't even wear them.

Tried on the shoe in the store, didn't have my color. Ordered it on line same size, too small. Had time to look at the quality of the ones shipped. Definitely have gone down

I must say i really wanted to like these shoes, but i just can't. The sizing is weird got a size nine, they felt like they were going to come off from the back. I tried a size eight and half, felt good on foot but something was just off they felt tight to the point were my toe would hurt. Very disappointed. I would like to gives these another try it's just the sizing is weird.Maybe it's just me.

These shoes rip at the back seam. I would not buy them unless you like the seams giving out. Poor quality on back seam!!

I love the Half Cabs, but quality improvement need in the outer heels. First pair had center seams above the Vans label. That's where they split. Vans eliminated the center seam on the redesigned second pair, but the outer heels still ripped just left of center. PLEASE improve the quality in this area as there are multiple complaints about this problem.

I bought these shoes for my 13 year old sons birthday and the stitching is already coming apart. The logo fell off in the first week. Customer service is no help, they said it's "normal wear and tear" my son skates (what these shoes are made for) and is a kid but for almost $80 I feel like they should last longer then a month. I have never had a issue in the past with vans so I'm pretty disappointed. I have read review after review from others saying they are having the same issues. Hopefully Vans customer service steps up and makes it right for their customers.

Everyone has different feet and maybe these new ones work for most but I can't stand them. They don't have anywhere near the fit of the classics.

Have owned several Half Cab Pro 92s in the past. Loved them all. Favorite Van's model by far. Just bought the "new" Half Cab with the white stitching and it's terrible. Tons of pressure on my big toe from top/bottom and side/side. Tried a half size up and my heel lifts. Half size down and I could barely fit. Whatever changes they made, it definitely did not work out for my foot. Sooooo bummed.
