Excellent hat particulatly for those of us with extra large heads! Love all the features of this hat. That the fit is adjustable, there's a tie for windy days, ventilation, and easily packable!! I've purchased a different color of this hat in the past, and as a woman who has an impossible time finding hats for my 25" head, I'm so glad to find these. Large-headed people/women need sun protection, too! Please never stop making these!

Wide brim but very shallow headroom, the top lays flat on your head and flattens your hair. It's too big around and I can't adjust it any smaller. The elastic cord used to adjust does not stay tight because the plastic holder doesn't work.

Perfect hat for my extra large head!! Please never stop making these. This is my second purchase of this hat (two different colors this time) and it is the only sun protection I can find that fits my very big head! Super comfortable, easily packable, and love that it has a tie to keep it secure in windy situations! Would definitely buy more colors if you made them! But really excited about the blue!

As long as you know your size in Sunday Afternoons hats, then purchasing one that fits well is easy. This hat is truly wonderful for keeping the sun off your face and does not look as dorky as other extra wide-brim sun hats. I love the pale gray color and the fact that the hat can fold in half, making it easy to pack and transport. This IS a large hat (brim is seriously wide and sticks out). But, this is exactly what I need when I go walking outside or garden. (This wouldn't be the best hat to drive in a car or wear to a sporting event because the brim would be bothersome.)

Bought a large and medium. Large is "very large", medium, the head space "shrinks". It says the hat is adjustable, but the bungee on the head does not ":hold tight" (bought two to make sure). You can reduce the size, but the clip lock will not hold what you choose. I kept the "2nd large": and will "figure out a way to make the "bungee" hold to size. Outrageous....yes, the "large" is very large, but the "medium" reduces the head space....

The best hat ever! It is perfect for hiking, ball park games, walking, and gardening. I recently wore this hat 3 days in Yosemite and the wide brim keeps the sun out! I like the adjustment on the chin and around the head for a perfect fit. Highly recommend!

Great hat. This hat is very well made and comfortable. The brim is good for sun blocking while not blocking vision.

Got this for hiking in AZ on a sunny week with temps in the 80s. Worked great. Totally covers my head and ears, good ventilation, cleans up easily, folds and stows in pack nicely when not needed. Brim holds up well in moderate winds, but it is a good "sail", so make sure to use the chin strap when up on a mountain! Great hat and great value for anyone sun sensitive who will be spending a lot of time in the sun.

This hat is amazing. I traveled to Ecuador for two weeks and this hat was used pretty much every day. The fact it folds up makes it so nice to travel with. I paired it up with some sun hoodies from Burgeon Outdoors and never got sunburned the entire trip.
Part of our trip was to the Galpagos Islands where we had naturalist with us while on various islands. They all commented on the hat saying how great it was. They all actually loved Sunday Afternoon hats and wear them themselves saying how the quality just stands out above all of the other hats brands. I couldnt agree more.
I'm a huge convert to Sunday Afternoons!

I bought this hat a year ago and it is my favorite travel sun protection. When the sun angle is from the front, I wear it backwards for the extra brim. I tighten the strap behind my head and it is in just the right place to withstand wind. I have two colors. Pleeeease make one in black!

I have a super massive head and it's extremely difficult to find a hat that fits comfortably. I happened to find the XL size at sportsman's warehouse and was shocked to find it fits my head and isn't tight at all. It's literally the perfect size. I love it so much, I'm buying another one in a different color just in case they quit making them.

I love the sturdy brim on this hat and feel protected from the sun's penetrating rays. Being able to fold the brim in half without harming it means it travels yet still looks good. What sold me though was being able to use the sunglass sleeves perched on top. Never again will I have to worry about scratching or loosing sun glasses when I take them off and lay they somewhere. A real winner of a hat

I've worn a Sunday Afternoons broad brim hat for 20 years as a Middle School P.E. teacher. Finally decided to upgrade to my new Sunday Afternoons "Latitude" hat. It's even better at protecting my face and looking cool at the same time than my original which will now serve as my camping hat.

Comfortable and the brim is stiff enough that it doesn't blow back in the wind.

Fits perfect and I love the design and the color. Never had a hat with a tie to keep it on but this one will be great and not blow off in the wind like my other one. I would recommend this company very highly.

I bought my first Sunday afternoon hat more than 10 years ago and still get compliments about it. I wanted to replace it even though it is still going strong. I got this new one and absolutely love it. Great fit and awesome brim. It's sunny over 300 days per year where I live. Thanks!

Impressively well made. Perfect features. Quite sadly the medium was not adjustable enough to fit my small head despite being at the bottom of the range expected to be accommodated. Customer service exemplary.

I love the very wide brim of this hat, and that it can fold flat for packing. It is a beautiful and flattering color. It was only available in Large, and the diameter can be adjusted. However the crown of this hat is too high. Regardless of how I adjust the diameter, it rides down onto my ears and it's kind of annoying. I am going to try tacking it up a little. Will see how that goes!

Nicely designed hat, large and stiff brim, hat folds in half flat which is a nice feature measuring about 16" long, however, this hat felt a bit heavy on the head in hot weather. The structured brim adds to the weight. Not the right style for me. Was looking for a much lighter summer hat. Returning for another model.

This is my new favorite rain hat and cold weather hat! I already had a "rain hat" made by a different company, but that brim is only 2 3/4" wide. This Latitude Hat is 4" in front, which means my glasses don't get wet and my face stays dry. I didn't plan for it to be my rain hat, as it has a mesh, but I can walk 45 minutes in a moderately heavy rain (western Oregon) before the rain soaks through the side mesh or the crown. Also, I've worn it to protect my face from the sun's UVA (present even in winter) when it's only 40 degrees. It keeps a good amount of warmth in (I have plenty of hair), as long as it isn't very windy. If it's windy and 40 degrees then I can feel cold air on my head, but I love the 4" brim so much I wear it even in the 30s.
If the winds are very strong, though, you really need to tighten the chin strap so much that the brim curves. (The big brim makes the hat want to fly off your head in a moderate gust, especially to the front. But I wear it in strong winds, anyway.) The hat's fabric absorbs rain for a while which is actually nice, as my other company's "rain hat" repels rain instantly, which means I get water dripping off the hat onto me very soon. With this hat if I'm not walking in the hard rain too long (20 minutes) then it won't drip onto me. The hat looks casual, which is okay since I'm wearing a casual rain jacket. The greyish blue is OK for a male or female. I don't know if the mesh will ventilate well when it gets to be 70s or hotter, but even if it works as only a rain or cold weather sun hat, I'm very happy with this purchase!
