The hat is great, big enough to keep the sun off your face. Only reason for the 4 stars is that the clasp/drawstring to make the hat tighter doesn't stay tight.

Great hat, folds in half for packing in tote bag. Large brim keeps sun off face and neck. Only complaint , color on bottom side of the hat is not described on website, only top side color. I purchased "sandstone" thinking it was black on the bottom and it's actually blue. I would have given 5 stars if not for that.

Pros: I like the color, and the hat protects my face and neck very well from the sun. Cons: the brim is quite stiff, which means the hat sails off my head at the slightest breeze unless I have the cord tightened under my chin. The rear brim also hits some of my backpacks, pushing the hat off my head. Overall, it's okay.

This color is much more khaki. Also, the brim is VERY wide, which is great if that's what you want, but be aware. It is much wider than most hats of this type.

I just returned this Latitude for the Adventure Stow cap. From the photo I thought this would be a large bucket type with a wider brim. I already own the Compass hat and like it but it's brim is just at acceptable width, which to me is when the back brim of the hat just kisses your back. The Latitudes brim is so wide it's constantly hitting your back which I found really annoying. It's too wide. The Compass is what you need.

Great hat, but a Medium was too big for my wife and it didn't come in a smaller size. I wrote the company an email, but never got a reply.

I love this hat, but it's too big. It doesn't come in size S, so I bought a M size, hoping I could pull the cord in the back of the hat to size it. The cord doesn't pull very far and the hat is still too large. I don't understand why this hat doesn't come in a size S. Customer service said I couldn't return the hat because I took the tags off. I'll have to find someone I can pass it on to.

I usually wear a size 7 and 5/8 hat so I ordered an extra large. It is way to big. I have another hat from you that is Large and is uncomfortably to small. You should work to size define better.

Size chart says the XL hat fits sizes up to 25.5". I measured my head as instructed at 25", but the hat is very tight and uncomfortable. Also, the mesh panel offers no sun protection. For a bald person like me, this defeats the purpose of a sun hat. I should have paid more attention to the specs before ordering. I regret buying this hat.

Y'all had a good thing going with the river guide hat and I reviewed it 2 years ago under the same name. In that review, I stated, "if you keep making it I would keep buying it." Well that time has come and I am sad to see you have discontinued that model. Your Canada distributor has a few river guides, but won't ship to the USA? It was nice doing business with you, Sunday Afternoons. Now, I must find another supplier. So long!
