I was so happy with the v5. They are the perfect trail running shoe - comfortable, light weight, excellent grip, and the wide width is actually WIDE. I ordered the same size women's v6, but they are much narrower. I returned them and ordered the men's, thinking they might be wider. Unfortunately, they fit just like the women's. Bring back the v5!!!!

The toe cushion on the right foot was not quite in the correct place. It wasn't all the way under the material it should be.

This is my second time buying these shoes, and I'm not very impressed. Compared my pair of Hierro V6 in the electric blue color, the material of the neon yellow is about the same, though both constructions are flimsier and appear cheaper than the Hierro V5 version, which my partner still has from 2020 and are holding up great (no holes, no wear other than on the soles.) My biggest gripe with these shoes is that I fear they're going to break down quickly like the last pair; within 6 months, the mesh around the ankles of my old V6 pair had holes in it, which seems far too soon for using 2-3 times a week for hiking.

I really wanted this shoe to work. Very ight and broad heel support. I ordered wide but was still too narrow for my foot. Not available in extra wide. Had to return it.

I’ve had a lot of fresh foam shoes, thought I would give these a try. I must say these seem a lot smaller then normal new balance, I wear a 13 4e usually but they only had a 2e, they usually run a tad big so I thought I would be fine. Nope I’ve been wearing them for three day’s and I feel like my foot is being crushed, do yourself a favor and order a size up.

V6 of this shoe is much narrower than V5. This might be great for some, but for me it ruined a perfect shoe. Also, the style looks strange with such a narrow front. Looks more like a running shoe in the front instead of the cross-country look the V5 had.

i usually buy new balance womens 8 2e but that is hard to find. i have the 7 2e mens in another style. these were not their normal 2e they were too narrow and the toe box was tighter than normal. these do not work with orthotics like the normally do.

The tong (sp?) does not stay in place. It needs to be wider and longer so as to cover the upper laces completely so they don't rub a person's foot. The longer the better as it would make it easier to grab onto when sidling ones foot into the shoe. The padding is great. The shoe sticks perfectly to slick steep very slippery terrain. The shoe breaths well on hot days. Glad I bought the shoe.

No arch support worst New Balance shoes I have ever owned. And I have owned many pairs over the years and liked every pair until these! They hurt my feet!

I had the v4 and they were my favorite trail shoes, on or off road. I got the v5 when they came out and the foam in the heel had been replaced eith softer foam. I'm a heavy runny at 6'8" 260lbs. I had to retun the v5 because my heel would get bruised from running. Striking through the foam. I reached out to New Balance twice to voice my concern about the update they'd made to the foam. I thought they would have fixed it in the v6 but no. Its the same as the v5 maybe worse. O couldn't make it around my block without adjusting the strike pattern of my foot.. Very dissapointed. Don't buy these of your over 200lbs and going to run in them

The product came and the toe cushion was slightly deformed and not fully in place as it should be. I love NB but after waiting longer than normal to receive the shoes, I was disappointed with the product they chose to ship.

Have worn 9.5 2E for years. Fresh Foam is way narrow. Toe box on running shoes is 4.5 inches wide; Fresh Foam is 4 inches.

I just purchased the Hierro v6 and haven't even hit the trail yet. After wearing them to work, at school today, I noticed the material on the inner ankle portion fraying on both inner ankle portion. I like the platform for these sneakers but the material craftsmanship is really poor around this area. I had the previous edition of these sneakers and the same thing happened.

I bought my first pair last year and they lasted a long time. I then bought two pairs of different colors in August and both pairs have warn out with light to moderate wear. They now hurt my back. I would never buy these again.

I loved the v5 version of this shoe. I thought the Hierro V6 would be similar, but it’s totally different. They ruined it.
