They have severely narrowed this version ( v5 to v6) which has now completely ruined this shoe! The Hierro is now a Zero! Stay away. You have been warned!

I have never owned a pair of shoes that are so comfortable -- the foam makes it feel like you are standing on the most comfortable memory foam mattress. But it's not mushy. I just hope the feeling doesn't wear out. They are also very nice looking. Highly recommended.

You know how when they stop making the shoe you're in love with and you have to find your new next favorite shoe? That's where I am in life. I'm so far pretty pleased with the Hierro v6. I'm really happy with how cushiony they are. I'm happy with their stability. They've done well on the off-roading I've been doing. I don't feel the rocks and gravel through the sole. I will say, I can feel the lugs when I wear them on pavement though. Not in a bad way, like "ouch, that hurts" or anything. Just they're there underfoot. Just something I don't notice when I'm off-road. Also not something I notice when I'm wearing other running shoes meant for street running. So, just know where you're going to be wearing them is all I'm saying. I've been really happy with the padding around the ankle. I also like that the tongue isn't too overly padded, not too long. Sometimes, tongues can come up too high, you know. I don't know the technical term, but I like the stability the flare thing on the heal provides. I wasn't sure how that was going to work. I didn't know if it was going cause me to drag my heal or not. I just didn't know. I really like it. It's almost like it provides a little extra bounce to my step. Overall, really happy with the shoe and as an added bonus, they come in some fun colors. I'm tired of men's shoes coming in boring colors.

I'm pretty sure these have a narrower, flatter, pointier toebox than the last gen. The toe-guard also appears to be a harder material. Neither of those changes work for me. I have flat, narrow size 15 feet and a wide toebox. But I also don't give bad ratings to a shoe just because it doesn't fit my feet anymore. I will go back to v5 and hope v7 goes back to a roomier, softer toebox. I use these for daily wear plus hiking and trail running like Dipsea, Steens, Claremont Canyon. Love the grip on loose hardpack. Throw some dirty girl gaiters and superfeet blues on the v5 in the loose stuff and do 15 miles with no foot issues afterwards.

Truly DOPE! A treat for my feet. Worth the money. I definitely recommend.

Been wearing Fresh Foam for a while now, with the new ones running slightly smaller than usual. Opted to try the Hierro and this shoe has it all! Fit, comfort, style (lotta compliments on the color combo). On the trail and off, these really are great!

The shoes are amazingly comfortable and I would definitely Recommend them.

Shoes look OK (not a fan of the "flap" on the back of the sole), but the options for a trail runner/low hiker with the Fresh Foam insole and Vibram outer sole are VERY limited. I haven't worn them much yet, but I don't like the feel of the heel cup. I wear a size 15, and it feels a little too small and rubs on the top of my heel. If that were cut more generously at the back of the heel cup, it would fit much better. I'm hoping that it breaks in a little more with time. Also, these could do with a little more arch support.

This is a great looking shoe and the support and cushioning are fantastic. I ordered an EE extra-wide and unfortunately it's still too narrow for my foot. The sides of the insoles cut into my foot and so I had to return them. They would have been perfect in a 4E extra-wide.

I ordered a V6 wide and yet it was narrower than my V5 they were intended to replace. My toes were scrunched. I compared them with they V5s side-by-side and the V6 lasts were noticeably narrower. The front half of the shoe was also noticably narrower. I removed the shoe laces and it was still too narrow. They took a great shoe, my favorite, and ruined it.

Great support after 350 miles so far.

Wear a Size 16. Hard to find a good support shoe. This one was great.

Like walking on air but they felt a little tight at the toe. Maybe they will loosen up. Still love them!

I have been wearing these 12-hours a day on the hospital floor, 3-4 times per week and they have been great! Best work shoes I have ever had. I also get comments from patients and colleagues all day long just about how cool they look!

the fit was good and I really liked how the upper part of the shoe was strong . Color was a big influence as I am tired of black and white

Love these. I can do without the extra length of heal, but I love these shoes. Make walking far easier and comfier.

This is my 2nd pair of these shoes. Bought my first pair a year ago and loved them, then supply chain issues hit and wasn’t able to find them in 2E til now. So glad they are back!
