The shoe is too big

I really like this shoe! The black/black that I ordered has two tones, regular leather and sort of a patent leather, and that makes it seem a little dressier. The sizing was weird. I usually wear an 11M and I couldn't even squeeze my foot into it, it was so narrow. I went up to a wide and it's a little loose (I'll need a Dr. Scholl's insert), so I think the sizing is off somewhere in the manufacturing. Be prepared to order a couple shoes to get the right size. I gave it a 5 for comfort even though I'm picky and for me it's not totally perfect, but I think this is as comfortable as you get with a flat shoe.

This is my third pair very comfy and the woven herringbone pattern gives them an elevated look.

I normally wear a size 9 medium. I had to order a half size up for these but they fit perfect. They are really nice looking and will go with anything. I definitely recommend them.

Finally! The fit and size are perfect. The style is very nice. After three tries, I finally have a pair of shoes that I can wear at events.

I have a very wide foot and can wear 6.5ww or larger. These shoes are very comfy after I found the size that fit = 7.5w.w, which are still a bit snug. The woven leather should relax and fit perfect once broken in. The burgundy color has a hint of purple tone to it which I just love! Thanks to Zappos for free returns so I could get the right size and kudos to Trotters for making shoes that fit!

Love the shoe and it fits but the toe area is too tight. I'm afraid to order a size up since it might be too big.

Love them however the normal 7W fit more like a 6.5M. Was ambivalent about the burgundy cooler but it is actually more eggplant which I absolutely love. Will be returning to reorder in 7.5WW. Thank you for free returns, Zappos!

Cushy shoe, with some give owing to its woven leather. But my heel is too narrow and slipped.

They are RED what is there not to love! They are true to size and I have had so many pairs. I wear them everyday,

I generally wear a wide, I ordered my 'usual' size 7.5 wide and the shoes were way too wide. I went up a half size to an 8 with regular width and they fit perfect. The foot-bed is cushioned with nice support and I love that the soles are rubber so I can wear them when it is damp outside. I ordered the burgundy and think they look very smart.

Fit was exact. Earlier I had ordered the 9 narrow since most shoes are a bit wide on me. The narrow was too tight. Therefore, for this pair I am reviewing I ordered the 9 B or medium width and it fit perfectly. Even as the leather stretches slightly it will not be too wide. I ordered the Red color and it is beautiful; looks great with jeans.

These shoes are beautiful and comfortable to wear. I’ve wanted these for quite a while and they didn’t disappoint.

Material is soft, the look is perfect for my outfit, I am all set.

These are very comfortable. These are my fouth pair.

Love Trotters. Comfort and true to size and Narrow is narrow, unlike Naturalizer that has shifted to more medium styles and runs wide. Trotters are comfortable. Love the red shoe, good color too.

This shoe is so comfortable. I'm back to order another pair in another color.

Have purchased a number of Trotters' shoes and find that they are comfortable and well made. One down side I found is the width being wider than marked.

I love this shoe but unfortunately it did not fit my "odd" right foot. I am certain the problem is my foot and not the shoe, but I still love the shoe. The style, the braided leather and the color are perfect in a classic wardrobe.

These shoes look fantastic, but (maybe bc of the workmanship?), the right shoe caused heel blisters almost immediately. I’m a little disappointed, bc I thought Trotters would be very comfortable. But I’m keeping them for the style, and adding some padding to the right shoe.

Generally feels good, I will add an arch support. Has a nice look & will work with dresses.

I returned the shoes because the pair sent to me looked black. I checked with several others to make certain they were not just a deep navy. Everyone agreed that they are definitely black. Nice, comfortable shoe, otherwise.
