Easy to put on and take off! We ordered these for our 2 and a half year old son and are very pleased with the sandal. What I like best about these is that he can put them on and take them off by himself with the velcro strap.

Overall great sturdy summer sandal - improved model! Bought these for my 5 yr old and 2 yr old. Finding that this model w/velcro side strap is much easier than previous models. Kids are actually able to get these on themselves w/out all that tugging! Very sturdy. Size runs a little big. Feet can get hot due to neoprene so just beware.

Summer shoes - This is a great summer shoe for a boy. It can get wet and the sand slides right out! My son has mastered taking them off, but he can't quite put them on himself yet. The color says periwinkle and that made me wonder if they looked at all purple, but they are a bright blue. Adorable for a little boy. My son is funny about sandals and wants to wear tennis shoes most of the time, but he wears these.

Great Shoe!! This is a great update on the Newport. The Velcro strap opens up making this one is so, so easy to get on and off!! The older version was much more difficult. This shoe is perfect for wide feet and is very adjustable for a custom, comfortable fit.

Keen Kids Newport H2 review - Great shoe! My son loves them and they are very easy to put on his ever moving foot with the velcro strap that helps to loosen up a little. The velcro strap does not open the shoe up completely (great feature), but helps to tighten or loosen fit only. Great color. They dry very quickly. True to fit. My son is extra wide and they fit him also.

BEST buy - My 3yr old son loves his new red shoes. He wants to wear them all the time, they are easy to clean, and appear to be rugged shoes. A definite must have for little boys.

Keen Shoes - These shoes are GREAT! We've purchased these for both of my boys for the past two years and love them. The traction is great for running around in water and the toe protections is awesome. They fit and perform like a running shoe and dry quickly when worn in water. We use them at water parks and they are perfect!

Comfy and cute. My grandkids haven't stopped wearing these since we opened the box!

Great shoe - My son loves these shoes. He wears them everyday with everything. They are easy on, easy off and very comfy!

Much improved from last years - Love that Keen added a velcro strap to the kids Newport this year it makes it a lot easier to get on!!! Also like that they used the same strap material as the adult Newport it will be better for performance and looks better. Awesome shoe!

Amazing shoe - Last summer, I bought these for my son, who's 5...who never - ever - keeps shoes on in the summer... did I mention he never keeps shoes on?? He loves the ability to get them on and off without adult assistance. They do not let any woodchips - or like material - in the side vents during vigorous park play. They are waterproof. And best of all they get tossed in the washer with mine. We both have Teva's but these are better by a mile! Other than the obvious toe protection – it’s more like a sneaker! Better sole for running & climbing! They last longer. AND HE KEEPS THEM ON! The summer camp only allows Keens & plain ol' sneakers for attendance...and who wouldn’t want these instead of hot sweaty sneaker?!?!? -- Can you guess we just love 'em? -- Off to buy a pair for my (just) 3 yr. old too!

We love our Keens! The main thing I noticed different when we had to go from a 7 to an 8 was the weight of the shoe. I am not sure if they have changed something, but my LO seems to trip more often and I can tell a pretty big difference in weight.

We love Keens for all our summer adventures. We've ordered them in different sizes for the past few years and wear them almost exclusively from April - Sept/Oct. That being said we prefer the Seacamp II CNX version. I accidentally bought these Newport H2s and they are just a bit more structured. This made it difficult for oldest (5) to put on, and it was a struggle for me to put them on my almost 3 year old. I returned for the Seacamps, but a couple of years in the future we may try these for a bit more structure.

My son liked these shoes but really prefers water shoes. If not for that preference he would have worn this every day in the summer.

We love Keens because they are super sturdy, the kids can wear them for days in summer, and we can take them to the beach and the pool and the playground, and the shower, and on hikes. Only drawback is that they stink horribly - it's the top part, not the anti-microbial footbed, that absorbs the stink. You have to soak them in vinegar and detergent and soak them in the sun every day. But worth it.

My son loves these water shoes. Overall a good shoe, but felt a little heavy.

These are so vibrant in person, they blew us away! So awesome! But they are a bit clunky and they do not bend when my child is walking or running. He is six and decided to keep them and wear them for little trips to the store but he cant wear them for play. They were too cool to send back and he loved them, just not a play shoe as we intended them to be.

My son was 3 when i bought them for him. He lost them so i bought he another pair. Great shoe the only complain kids are ruff on shoes. The velco in the front is better then in back. Also they look more durable on the side where the string kept snapping out the loop. Other then that they last pretty good like i said kids are hatd on shoes. Great buy.

My only issue with these is that they are a bit more difficult to put on than say flip flops or crocs - my son would often go with the easier to put on items unless he needed the extra support these provided - but these are really nice sandals.

From past experience, I know these are good shoes, hold up well and can be washed when they get stinky, which all Keens do! My son is a size 8 in most other toddler shoes, but in these, he is a 9. Love them!
