Love the bag. I wish they had the 62L when I order but this bag works fine.

I needed a new travel bag and this is perfect! I love the color, lots of room and extra zippered pockets. I really love the fact that I can use duffel type strap or wear it like a backpack. I'm glad it is a feminine color otherwise my boyfriend would totally steal it!

I've used a base camp medium for years, but this duffle is better for non-outdoor travel. It has a good amount of space, pockets for stuff like laptops and wallets, and is more comfortable in backpack form

This is a fantastic addition to the Base Camp lineup, providing nearly as much protection as the Base Camp Duffels at a far lower weight. I have no clue how the other reviewer could call this heavy, as it's the lightest "heavy-duty" duffel I've ever used, while still feeling like it can take a beating. The 32L weighs less than 2 lbs, which is less that most packs, let alone ones as burly as this.
The pocket selection is nice, although the laptop pocket is tricky if you are carrying it as a backpack. I love the divider (again, not sure what the other reviewer expected in a bag that packs into its own pocket...) And the exterior pockets are super nice, too. I had no issues getting the bag back into its included pouch, although I wouldn't call it easy. Once I got it the first time, it took me no more than 15 seconds after that. However, there aren't many things I can think of that require this feature...maybe if you are planning on buying a lot of things on a trip and need the extra space for the return home?
The low weight and high durability of this bag are exactly what I was looking for to carry both camping gear on weekend trips, as well as a carry-on for short flights (the 32L version should have no problem being carried on any plane.) I'm very happy with it!

It's very roomy and great size pockets. But this bag is a duffle first and a backpack second. The backpack straps are not very ergonomically cut so it feels like it cuts the blood from my arms. As far as I can feel, the straps are sewn only to the outer skin and I doubt it's longevity carrying heavier loads greater than 7kg.
Would recommend a zipper when straps are stored so that water does not pool in that area. Possibly add a drain hole at the bottom of the strap storage.
Also the side handles are not quite in the center so it's awkward to carry it like a briefcase. The duffle is also an awkward wide shape like a pizza box so it's hard to carry it close to your body, or on your shoulder.
The duffle bag straps are placed well and are designed for the duffle bag
Good for storage, check-in, bad for everyday use. Don't get this to replace a backpack or satchel/briefcase.

Bought this product for my husband and it has become his go to bag. He recently went on a 5 day work trip and it fit everything while still being a perfect size carrry on. The green is a bit darker in person.

Used the bag to travel to AK for a week long fishing trip. Functional, durable, aesthetically pleasing and worth every penny!

I purchased the pink 42L duffle and I wish it was waterproof all around. The bottom part where you put your bag down is not water resistant and is more susceptible to getting wet/dirtier. I do enjoy having a duffle that can be used as a backpack while traveling. When I purchased this, there weren't many colors to choose from. Wish I had the options they have now and would've picked the brown one or Sage.

Great bag. Used primarily as a carry-on travel bag. Needs a bottle holder on the outside.

Needs a water bottle holder. There's plenty of spots for one on the outside of the bag. Small, but important detail.

This bag seems great and I love all the different pockets. I unfortunately will be returning it because at my age it is to heavy and I decide I need luggage with wheels. If you are younger this is a great bag!

It's a good product. I wish it were made out of a more sturdy fabric. Otherwise, it's a good design.

This travel duffel with backpack straps appears to be built well, though material is quite light and is thinner than expected. Using this as a backpack is somewhat limited due to the design and lack of padding on the straps, but I like the option for a short duration like at the airport. This duffel is not large, but should work well as a carry on for most any plane. As duffels go, I think this is a good option for an open duffel that would be good for African Safaris and the like.

I really love this backpack. I got it to serve as a "personal item" for those basic economy tickets that don't allow a full-size carry on. I do wish it came with a waist strap, but overall it's geat.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Size of the bag is perfect but I am very unhappy that the strap broke after 3 months. The bag has never been filled to capacity so this is a huge disappointment to me. No use for it anymore which is a waste of money.

Used on my last flights cross-country as my carry-on. It's durable and flexible. I know I'll be using and loving it in the future too. Love the color. Cat approved. 2 bummers: 1) Aesthetic - Since it arrives all folded in on itself, it became really wrinkly and those have not eased out even with stuffing it and being stacked on other luggage. 2) Function - Wish there was a cross strap, in addition to the backpack straps.

Context:
I'm 5'6" and am a smaller light build human with a short torso and not much muscles. Bought it for a 3-week trip to Japan. I started my trip with it full but not STUFFED.
Why I bought it:
I wanted a duffle over a hiking, travel backpack or standard carry-on luggage because it looked less overtly touristy.
Also the handle on the top for holding it upright on trains. The side handle for more stable hand carrying and backpack straps to make it easier to move through japan train station which are mostly stairs.
Ended up also being good for 3/4 days at walk-in campsites/yurts in the PNW and at music festivals. It fit my camping gear well.
My pros:
- Worked as a carry on my international flight to Japan and domestic flight to LA, both delta in 2022.
- The shoe compartment. Also great for dirty laundry.
- Slimmer side profile than the other duffle backpacks.
- Material is sturdy and pretty much waterproof with flaps over zipper.
- That it's packable (case is actually the shoe compartment, you flip it kind of inside out and stuff the pack into it). Good for taking up less space in my tent after unpacking my gear and also switching into a different luggage once I bought too many things while in Japan.
My cons:
- long on my back, would work better on a taller or long torso human.
- Not much padding on the backpack straps, not wide enough, shape not ergonomic. Dug into my shoulders, became quite uncomfy since my pack was on the heavier side cause i used compression cubes to get more clothes in. Probably would be less uncomfortable on people with a large, or more athletic build or who packed less?
- lack of back/shoulder comfort makes it unreasonable for me to carry for more than 30-60 min depending on weight.
- no side water bottle holder
In the end I still like it and use it. I want to buy the 32L since it will work better for my body size but am unsure it would still fit my camping gear and that has ended up being it's regular use.

The only thing I don't like about it is there are no elasticized pockets on the side for water bottles, but I guess you can't have everything

Purchased 2. well designed and clever reversible bag turns into its own pouch. But a little heavier than ideal in an age of limited airline bag weights
