I am happy to say that this is my second pair of Salomon hiking shoes. Well, first pair of high top. I always buy Salomon shoes because I know it will always perform. Never considered purchasing a high top in the past until now. Very comfortable. Went hiking on a very wet and windy weekend and the boots kept my feet dry and warm. Even after a 5 mile hike, my feet wasn't even tired, so, thank you Salomon for a GREAT pair of hiking boots!!!

As others have noted, these boots are a dream. Weatherproof, sure footed tread, secure footwell. Very pleased having worn them for hours and not a blister or rubbed area. I had previously bought 8s to accommodate thick socks but the 71/2 in this design works so much better- with all thicknesses.

This is my second pair and I love these hiking boots. They feel wider than most which is comfy for my toes. I was excited to see new color ways!

This boot has many positives. Lightweight. Supports my foot when walking on uneven terrain. Good fit. True to size for walking foot wear. Shame about the colour being so light. I spray mine with protecter so makes it easier to clean and maintain waterproofing.

I love these mid high boots for hiking in the Black Hills. I do not get pine needles on my shoes anymore! They are also great for navigating across the creeks and scaling steep inclines. Great product.

Besides the excellent support and breathability, the shoes feel extremely light.

I've hiked 4 or 5 times in these boots and they were comfortable right from the start. Most hiking boots have a breaking in period; these did not.

Salomon is my favorite hiking shoe brand- and I have tried them all. These X Ultra 4's have good grip, even on snow. Very comfortable right out of the box. Socks stayed dry on wet, snowy hikes with the Gore-Tex membrane. Go a half to full size down from your normal size. In other brands, I'm a women's 7.5. In these, I got a 7, and they were still slightly roomy, but that was okay because these are my winter hikers, so I pair them with thick wool socks. The laces are also easy to tighten and stay tied throughout my hikes. Another high-quality shoe from Salomon!

Boot looks great, fits great, and grips the trail. Love being able to step through creeks without worry about getting wet socks.

I love these boots and have the same model in the hiking shoe. They have plenty of room in the toe box, the right kind of sole for the best grip and they keep my feet warm and dry.

I bought this boot, for the O and W circuit in Patagonia Chile. I trained for six months with this boot, never a problem, never a blister, always comfortable! Completed my 80 miles on the O and W circuit Then hiked Mount Fitzroy without a problem. You will love these boots!

It took me several misses before getting a "hit" with these new Salomon hiking boots. They grip our wintry icy trails well, and keep my feet dry. I love getting to choose a "non-neutral color too! I've recommended them to my hiking friends.

Bought these boots for my daughter, who needs a wide fit, these were perfect, so good I bought myself a pair.

We have kept with solomon now for a decade , occasionally try the competition but they are never as comfortable

I've had these for 2 months and have been out hiking several miles a day over fields and woods, wet and dry. Comfortable from the outset. Light and have kept my feet dry and warm. Love them! Just double tie the laces.

This is my 3rd pair of Salomon wide fit walking boot. Very comfortable and very light. Would definitely recommend. Although a darker colour would be more appropriate.

Bought these for a trip to Maine, to hike in Acadia National Park. They required no break-in period. Instantly felt great on my feet, providing excellent grip and stability. Highly recommend!

Fortunately I bought my first pair in store so I could try them on, because I ended up in a Women's size 8 instead of my usually 8.5 Loved them so much, I ordered a second pair, the exact same one, these ones for my duty boots (paramedic). By fair the easiest hiking boots I have ever broke in. They were comfy first day. Highly recommend. Just ordered winter boots here. Hopefully they are just as great!
