I bought this in April 2021 and they were absolutely fantastic right out of the box. Yes - they fit big, but as someone who has very wide feet, I was happy about this! Great traction control, breathable, good support - just fantastic shoes. That's why I was so upset that one of them developed a rip inside the heel that caused a massive blister when out on a day hike :(. Thankfully still within the 2-year warranty, but super disappointed they did this.

I was unsure which size to order since a lot of the reviews say they run big. I normally wear a 9 but ordered an 8.5 based on the size guide. They fit perfectly. The traction was excellent, but they were taller than what I was used to, so my ankles kept hitting the collar. It's well padded, so there was no chance of blisters, but it was annoying. I considered using an insert to raise my foot, but I found that after a few hikes, it no longer bothered me.

The color was less tan than I expected however these hug your feet and are very comfy. They run large. I wear a size 10 ordered a 9.5 and they are still a little big. I would maybe order a full size down. I'm keeping them because I don't feel like going through the hassle of sending them back and waiting again. The quick lace system is nice.

I've had many pairs of solomons. its my go to shoe for everyday wear, walking and hiking. the size 7 is what i always order or buy. and always fits perfect. however this shoe fits large, feels more like a size eight

I bought X Ultra with goretex a few years ago and those are amazing. Wanted a lighter version for summer and ordered these. However, they don't feel as comfortable as the other ones. The insole has less arch support, and they are not any lighter. My feet are hot in these - worse than in the gore-tex version. The price is high, but I wouldn't mind it if the shoe was perfect. And it's not. And yes, these do run big! I've learned that with my 2020 gore-tex version. According to the Salomon size chart, I should be size 9 (that's what I normally wear too). So I ordered 9, then changed to 8.5, then changed to 8. These new shoes I've ordered in size 8 and they fit correctly. I am disappointed with the quality as described above and will be returning these. Too bad I'll have to keep looking. I still trust Salomon is the best!

The only problem with this shoe is that during wear the tongue shifts to the outside of the foot, necessitating the wearer to re-adjust frequently to avoid chafing and blisters on the top of the foot.

I bought these boots a month ago and was able to wear them straight away, no blisters, great fit true to size. I have walked through a stream no problem with water getting in until this morning when I walked through a field and my feet got wet. It had not rained it was just morning dew. Not sure why as these are meant to be waterproof. This is very disappointing as I walk everyday with my dog and I need a good pair of waterproof boots.

I got both the ultra 3 and ultra 4 to try on. The toe box on the ultra 4 is significantly wider than the ultra 3. As someone with narrower feet, the ultra 3 was a better fit for me. I also liked the arch support better on the 3. The streamlined tongue on the 4 was an improvement but otherwise I prefer the 3 for it's perfect mix of fit, structure, and support while still being relatively lightweight.

Decided to invested i a new pair of Salomon walking shoes as Id bought a pair a long while back while traveling around Poland and they were amazig lasted comfy sad I had to finally give them up. So invested in a new pair. 1st time on laces broke also toe part is seperating I wear these for dog walking so its not like they take a beating Really dont think this design is worth the money

After years of hiking in Salomon Ultras, this model (in the photo, far right) was most disappointing. I was happy about the return of a larger toe box, but the (newly designed) sole wore out much more quickly than the other pairs I had before. I won't buy them again.
