I like the mask style and fit. I bought it for the filters but after a few days of constantly re-adjusting/re-inserting the filter I became annoyed and stopped using the filter. The mask is comfortable for all day wear and washes easily. I usually hand wash mine in the sink at night and in the morning before work it's dry.

The face mask looks nice and the concept is goood. But I should have listened to other reviewers. The paper filter is impossible to keep in place to get any kind of good coverage. So you have a mask that doesn't filter much better than a thin cloth.

This mask is only for a small face! The insert is sloppy and does not stay in well making it a pain to deal with. I would not buy again

I bought these for skiing. With a helmet. If you continually pull it down and push back up the filter does not stay in place. The adjustable balls on the strings really bothered my head behind the ears. Maybe Ok for other people but not working as well for me while skiing.

Imagine cutting out a coffee filter and stuffing it between two loose openings, then folding it half and wearing it on your face all day. That's what this mask/filter combo does. The filter just bunches in the center like a piece of toilet paper. I've been an OR customer for 20 years. This is a substandard piece of gear.

Difficult to believe this mask gets so many positive reviews all over the internet. I've tried a half-dozen masks from different companies and this one is my least-favorite. This is first mask I've worn where the nose wire was actually painful! The mask really needs a bit of padding under the wire. Filters are maddeningly difficult to open and just don't fit that well in the mask. As other reviewers have noted, the filters tend to bunch up or slide out of the tabs that are supposed to hold them in place. Filter fit isn't helped by the gargantuan tag that's sewn into the mask. There's a handy cut-line marked on the tag, so clearly Outdoor Research knows that it's ridiculous. Aside from that, the mast just doesn't fit very well. It's absolutely fine... as long as you don't need to open your mouth. If you do need to open your mouth, say to talk to someone, the mask is either going to slip off your chin or get pulled down over your nose. Feels like the mask needs to be just bit taller and have a slightly looser fit if it's going to stay in place.

This mask is a bit too small for a man. Sloppy fit of the insert makes it shift around. Really not worth $20. I would return if I had not opened it all and tried it on.

Loved the grey color and the material. Main issues is that the filter fell out day one and didn't stay in place. This would be a very easy fix. Wish they would make it happen with this particular mask.

I thought this would be my favorite mask but it wasn't. It doesn't hold the filter away from the mouth because vapor softens the filter paper, and the pockets at the end of the mask don't hold the filter securely. The entire front of the mask gets sucked into your mouth, unfortunately. It needs a wire or some sort of firm shaping to keep it out. It rode up on my face and on my mom's, and my glasses fogged terribly. Sorry! I had high hopes.

The mask is well made, but the filter has to be constantly adjusted. A better filter design is needed to make the mask/filter pairing work better.

Fits great. Arrived with a bad smell. I've washed it multiple times and it still has a bad smell, not great when your wearing it over your face all day.

Mask fits great I like the look and fill. Definitely have the same complaints as others. If you don't use the filter it is completely see through. Using the filters provided doesn't work very well it constantly moves making the mask somewhat useless. I even tried velcroing it to make it work. As of now I am using this mask with a N95 filter mask (double masking) to get it to work as intended. Good idea though just make it so the filter will actually stay in place I will definitely buy more.

I bought my filters months ago when they first came out. The fit is decent and materials are good. Like MANY others I have had constant problems with the filters moving around, bunching up and coming out, even with light use. This is a huge problem. I spoke with customer service back in July and they said they were redesigning them, which restored my hope in OR products. Now reading the reviews I see they only adjusted the size of the little sleeves, but the problem still remains, and instead of actually "redesigning" them to have better, safer functionality, they now offer "new Colors"...!?! Bad call OR, fashion over function is never a good move during a pandemic. Take a few minutes and redesign the filter interface for this mask, it's not rocket science!

Fits decent, but the filter is a nightmare to pull apart and to put in and to keep situated in place. Also light clearly shows through the mask so, it's not even that great for filtering this virus.

I bought this mask for my son and husband who needed a larger mask and weren't comfortable in any other mask they'd tried. The overall fit of this mask is perfect for them both. It covered perfectly and is adjustable and they are comfortable wearing it for long periods of time. However, the filter is making them both hate the mask now. The filter is held in by simply tucking the ends into small pockets, nothing holds the middle. The mask doesn't hold the filter firmly. The filter constantly shifts and comes out. It bunches up and irritates them. It's awful! I'm on the search again for a wearable mask.

Put it in the washing machine, as advertised I would be able to do, but the piece that pinches your nose broke and now dangles by my mouth, making it very uncomfortable.

With the nose bridge tightened the mask doesnt make it past my chin. I like everything else about it, unfortunately it doesnt work for me or anyone who has a slightly larger face.

Disappointed on OR rolling this product put without testing insert. The outer mask is comfortable, but the insert is cumbersome and NEVER stays in place. Been an OR fan for 30 years. I'm sure they will get it right.

I've always respected products made by OR. I own a ton of them so when I saw they were making masks it was a no brainer. The mask itself is nicely made, good fabric, nice fit. The filters do not stay in for me. The ends always come out and they are hard to get back in. I haven't had this issue with other masks so I was very surprised. They use a sort of tab to stay in place and it comes out on mine.

Mask is good but problems with the filter. We had to add Velcro tabs to keep it in place. Never seem to find replaceable 25 pkg. filters. Very frustrated with this problem!

The mask is comfortable and the adjustable straps for well, but the filter and filter holder system is poorly designed. You have to try and push a flimsy piece of cotton filter into an opening and while it fits, any movement makes the filter unseat. So taking the mask off essentially means you have to redo the filter each time. I wouldn't buy this again.
