I use the product for hiking, casual wear and yoga. I really appreciate how flexible they are and durable. They also leave me feeling cool with comfort.

I have been wearing these constantly. I wear them around the house, running errands, hiking, swimming, and even over my bib shorts when cycling. They are very utilitarian, but I can wear them to the pub or to run errands without looking like a bum. I'd like a rear pocket for my wallet but I am okay without it.

I was looking for a casual pair of shorts that I could wear for a variety of activities like hiking, playing lawn games with friends, or just hanging out around the house. These shorts are perfect. As a guy with bigger thighs and butt, I was having trouble finding comfortable shorts with a modern, shorter inseam. I love that the 5" length are comfortable but stylish. I know cargo shorts aren't exactly in style but I do like having the extra pockets. The subtle zippered pockets let me carry everything I need without the bulge of a traditional cargo short.

These shorts are great! They fit well and are the perfect inseam length. The material and color are also super fun.

Just some stylish shorts. The waist is elastic and fits well; the buckle strap can add a little more security but is a mostly aesthetic touch. Love the pattern and accents. I wear a 33" waist and the mediums fit quite nice, and I love the short inseam option. Might buy another pair!

I bought these shorts a month ago at the North Face store in Boulder. I honestly fell in love with them when I saw them and after a month of good wear, I still love them. I've worn these on two trips already and they look brand new still. I'm an apparel design major and I know a good product when I see them. The belted trail short is the men's short silhouette of the summer and this is that category. I actually just did a lab report on these shorts for a textile class and the fabric makeup is spot on for what you want out of a short like this. I honestly would buy another pair.

Bought these for my husband and he loves them and plans to hike in them often. They are made with a very nice material that is comfortable and allows movement!

These are very versatile and can be worn casually, used as active wear as well as swimwear.

Haven't used for long yet but feel these will be a keeper. These shorts have zippered pockets on the bottom sides, which make them flare out in a strange way. They almost keep the leg holes more open. I have decided I don't mind this though it is very different from most shorts. I do appreciate that there are small zippered pockets although I don't know what will fit in them yet. The fit is very roomy which is terrific. Great for people with thighs. Love the different length options; got short. The material is a thicker nylon; so feels like I would want to bring them on some granite rocks at the river. But, am not sure yet how fast they'd dry. Not running material, for sure. I'm not sure yet if the belt will make it uncomfortable under a backpacking waist strap; probably. Changes I would make: The end of the belt is too long and I wish there were somewhere to tuck it. And the logo is very conspicuous and thickly embroidered on in white; wish it were flat and navy or another blue like the shorts.

These shorts are lightweight and comfortable.

Exactly that I needed to replace my old ones!

I own two pair of these, I love the built in belt, the fit and finish is top notch, what's killing me is the lack of a rear pocket. Especially a rear zippered pocket. That would take these to the next level. If you really want my wishlist, add an integrated liner.

Great shorts. Keep getting shorter. Great for whitewater.

These shorts are super stretchy and comfortable, and have zippered pockets. I've purchased three pair, and use them for casual shorts with aloha shirts. I love the integrated belt, although on one pair, one end of the plastic buckle wasn't sewn on properly and fell off during the first use.

My son loves these shorts only wishes they were an inch or two longer. He had some similar in the past and wore them 10 years before they wore out!!

for training, it fits great, it is kind of hard to use the lower zippers
