Huge disappointment. The quality and comfortable footbed are the typical awesome Teva sandals. BUT they are impossible to secure to the feet. The straps are not aligned with foot anatomy and can’t hold the shoe on at all. These allow the foot to slip all the way forward and out of the shoe! Flunked the effort of walking 5 steps. Not possible to cinch down enough to compensate for the design errors. I have an old pair of Chaco Chari sandals that have the same strap pattern, but they stay on my feet because of the strap placement. Very sorry, but these need a redesign!

Although I've enjoyed wearing these shoes on the trail, in the water, and running errands around town, they broke just over a year of use. Really, 1.5 summers of wear and the warranty is over. The right heel strap came out of in-between the sole, and it's been impossible to stick it back in and secure with Shoe Goo. So my recommendation is to pass over these shoes. Kinda pricey for not much use, and ultimately poor design.

I bought these for a kayaking trip to the Channel Islands, and thought they looked really cute! However, the first issue I noticed is how shallow they fit over the back of my heel, making them feel like they're about to slide off all the time. Despite readjusting, this issue persisted.
The worst part was that after the shoes got wet, the strap material stretched. Again, I tried to adjust the velcro straps, but there isn't enough velcro to compensate for how dramatically the straps stretched. This cause my foot to slide around my foot.
Super disappointed that I'm not able to return them after my wearing experience, because I spent nearly $100 on a pair of shoes that I will never wear again.

Bought this to replace a Teva sandal with a similar design. The Hurricane Verge has a strap that goes across the toes and then back to the ankle strap. I have a wide foot and I can't really get it adjusted to feel comfortable. My foot slides forward and my toes go beyond the foot bed. I have been wearing Tevas for over 30 years and this is the first sandal that just doesn't work for me.

Sturdy and comfy but just look too "clunky" on my feet. Straps are wide

I don't love these shoes, though they are also not the worst. They are just okay. The style seems trendy in the photos (technical clips are in!) but on my feet they look boat-like. I wish the straps came up around the side of the footbed, the edges beyond the strap is dead space. They are clunky but the actual food bed is slightly narrow. I have pretty bad bunions so I do like a wide toe box and overall Teva is one of the better brands for this.
I can't get the straps to be entirely comfortable, they are somehow too tight and too lose at the same time. I like that the straps don't cut into my ankle, but as other reviewers said, my foot slides forward as I walk.
The quality seems okay but not amazing. I wore them on one trip camping in the desert and the strap fabric already seems warped.
I also bought these sandals and a day later they went on sale, but Teva never responded to my email request for a price adjustment.
I wish Teva still made the Zirra/Sirra sandals, they were more comfortable, less clunky and stayed on my foot better.

The footbed of these sandals are huge. Feels like wearing snowshoes. The sizing is also off. I ordered my usual 10 and they were too small because the ankle strap pushed my foot forward and toes rubbed to the front. So I ordered an 11. They worked for a few wears but now the straps have stretched and the shoe is way too big

I really loved these shoes, super comfortable and cute but unfortunately this is my second pair that has broken. The first pair lasted a few months then the straps came out and then my second pair broke in less than a week. I am a lifeguard so they do get wet regularly but for the price I expected more durability. I really wanted to like these bus I wished they lasted

A lot of straps to adjust, but I suppose that is a good thing. I didn't like the overall "orthopedic" look of them. They looked a little dowdy.

Unfortunately I have to return these because of the arrangement of the straps. They are minimal and too far apart to hold my foot securely, and I kept sliding forward. The style is bulky and heavy, so I'm not very upset at returning them.

Unfortunately, I will be returning these. The fit is just not good and not comfortable. My foot slides forward and the straps just will not adjust for a good fit.

this shoe had a very strange fit, for me. it was somehow both too big and too small and just trying them on I could understand other's complains about the foot slipping forward and needing to constantly adjust the strap. also, I was sent a pair that had already been tried on and had major black scuff marks on the outside of both shoes.

I am so sad to have to return these shoes! I bought in the hot pink/ fuchsia color----this color is perfect & looks so good b/c the straps/ footbed/ everything is matching hot pink color...no black or grey base. I'm a longtime fan of Teva, avid hiker/ biker/ camper/ watersports & fashionista. I love the comfort of teva & the color (pink) & style of these chunky fugly comfort sandals.
foot slides forward...major design flaw...cross straps in front are not far enough back on foot to keep the foot in place. I tried tightening the top strap (which hurt) & still didn't keep my foot from sliding forward & off the shoe base 1-2"! These might possibly work for a medium to wider foot, but not for my narrow foot. To get the front toe strap tight enough to fit, it meant that only about 1/2" or less of velcro was holding in place (the rest was hanging off).

I hike in my sandals and the cross straps will not
Hold your foot secure. I like the buckle closure and
that was the reason I purchased them. I wish Teva
Would offer more styles with that feature as this sandal was the only one offered with the buckle closure

The cross-over strap requiring a clip is different from teva's usual velcro fasteners, and its more difficult to manage.
For me, the footbed is too short, making toes extend over the front of the shoe, but I do not have this problem with any other tevas I bought recently.

I bought these for summer, they are very cushy and comfortable, but one of the straps on the right sandal is too short and has unfinished edges and it rubs uncomfortably on the pinky toe area. I'd love to wear them more often but I get a blister every single time. Kinda stinks for the price of them, they were expensive for sandals I had higher hopes of them having no defects.

The heel strap is too low and slips off. There's no way to correct this, no matter how much I tighten the back strap. It's like wearing flip-flops.
The front straps are too far back & don't hold the toes in well, so my foot slips forward.

I returned these. Honestly, they were unattractive and because of that, regardless of any other feature, I was disappointed and didn't notice the possible good things about them.

I'm a true 8 but the 8 in this style fits more like a 7.5. Recommend sizing up. Feels like I wasted my money, since I can no longer return them.

The heel strap is too low, it goes across the back of the heel instead of above to hold the heel in place as the Wraptor hiking sandals did...
