When I received these sandals I was confused because I thought I had ordered the ascona sport. However I reviewed my order and realized it was my mistake so I decided to roll with it and try them out. At first I was pleased with the fit, support, and comfort. However, after taking a walk in them I did not go more than ten steps before the straps became completely loose. There does not appear to be any way to lock the strap into place. I'm incredibly unhappy that a sandal with such nice support is defective in its ability to stay on my foot. Waste of money.

I have purchased several Teva sandals in the past and was always very satisfied. Unfortunately, the Ascona Cross Straps did not live up to my expectations. After a few steps the straps loosen, constantly tightening was extremely frustrating. I had purchased them to wear on a trip, but tried them out before I left, realized the problem and left them at home. They have since sat in my closet unworn all summer.

The straps are too tight in some spots and don't stay tight in another. I have heard so many great things about the comfort of these sandals. Guess I missed out!!

In what universe would you design a sandal that only tightens around the heal? The front straps of this shoe may work for someone with a very wide foot, but for me (and I am not a narrow) the front straps were so loose that the foot bed did not adhere to the bottom of my foot -- about 1" extra strapping material and no way to take up that slack. Absurd. I sent them back.

The back strap on this sandal it very tight and it rubs. It is also not adjustable. Returned it.

I've worn these about 3 times. I did notice the strap slipping from the beginning but it's not enough to make you throw away the shoes. The front and back straps don't adjust so the shoe doesn't fall off your foot just because the middle strap isn't tight. It's just not very comfortable without the middle strap. Well that was true until the front strap on one of the shoes broke now they don't really work at all.

I may have brought a size too small, but the strap is very tight for me even though this is the size I love in another style.

The straps will not stay tight. So frustrating. The cost far too much to not function correctly. Comfort yes, but since the strap will not stay in place, you constantly have to readjust. Teva should really take these off the market or redesign the straps.

These are by far the most comfortable Tevas I've ever owned but the strap locking mechanism is defective and Teva is not fixing the defective sandals at this time. The only option is to buy another style. They did offer a replacement with another defective pair but I declined. Super weird for Teva.

I love the shoe but the cross strap doesn't hold and I haven't figured out how to wear it without constantly bending over to pull it back to into a snug position. The strap doesn't lock into place and constantly loosens up as you're walking. Looks terrible flopping loosely on top of your foot.

These shoes are feel the antithesis of Tevas. You can only adjust the strap over the ankle and even that readjusts over time. The other straps are so uncomfortable. The sole is lacking support. I don't even recommend them for short outings.

The straps will not stay tightened. Do Not Purchase!!!!

Don't buy this sandal. The adjustment strap doesn't grip at all and comes loose as soon as you start to walk. Very expensive piece of junk.

I am very disappointed with Teva's design of this sandal. Why would you design a shoe and only have an adjustment strap that works on ONE SIDE, what about the other side of my foot, it's completely unsupported. I purchased my first pair and thought it was a defect, because I thought Teva couldn't design a shoe so poorly. When I received my second pair, I was amazed - they did design it this way!! The shoe is cute but poorly designed.

The buckle is very poor quality. It will not hold and gets looser with every step that you take. I can't even wear the shoes.

Straps way too tight

The design of this sandal is flawed. No matter how I tighten the strap it always loosens and they do not feel secure on my feet. Would love to return them, but outside the return window (unless Teva is willing to work with me)

Was excited to finally find good sandals for my narrow feet. However, after wearing outside the store, realized the straps significantly loosen when walking. Super disappointed as loved them otherwise but had to return

I was going to get the Verra sandal but instead chose these because of the color and style. When I tried these on in store yesterday they fit perfectly to my really narrow feet. I didn't hesitate to buy these and couldn't wait to wear them this morning. I put them on and went to work. From my front door to the driveway I noticed the straps loosened a bit. I thought I just didn't tighten them enough. However, once I got to the office and began to walk around they just wouldn't stay tight. Anytime I leave my desk I have to pull on the strap to tighten them, but it only last for about 10 steps. I wish I read reviews before purchasing. Other than this flaw these are seriously comfortable and stylish. I'm so bummed these don't work for me.
