I love these sandals but the straps keep slipping while I am walking. I considered sending these back but don't know if this is a design feature or not. If I didn't love them so much, I would have returned them. I'd surely like a clue on how to fix this problem.

Fit was spot on and the cross-strap style is exactly my jam. I've been wearing a cross-strap Teva flip flop, ordering a new pair at the start of every summer. But they're not the safest choice for me, so it was awesome to find these. Reading reviews about straps loosening caused me some pause before pressing "buy", and I will agree that they do somewhat. I really like a cinched up feel and these do relax during wearing. But they never feel like they're falling off or my heel is slipping. I love them.

I understand the mixed reviews. They are minimally adjustable and this wouldn't be true if the design didn't include sewing the strap between the toes and at the sides of the foot. The strap across the ball of the foot is rather narrow but the strap around the heel is not. They fit me well and I love the thinner webbing and contoured foot bed. Made out of recycled plastic is a bonus.

Great shoe, but not enough arch support for me: moderate to low arch support.

Footbed is great. Arch support is great. Straps are not great. The become loose as you walk. Impossuble to keep them tightened.

The straps keep loosening which makes the heel of the shoe get out of position. I have to keep trying to lock the strap

The strap that tightens the shoe comes loose constantly, and the the piece of fabric that goes inbetween your toes moves sometimes which left a blister, when it doesn't turn its fine. Other than that I wear these for walking, flat trail hiking, photography and just around town. I love them and the solid support while still being in a Sandal.

I love these so much. I like that they are lighter and more minimalist than other outdoorsy sandals. Unfortunately, as many other reviews say, the ladder lock clasp is completely useless. It does not hold at all. Not even a little bit. I love the rest of the shoe so much that I am taking them to a cobbler to get the clasp replaced.

The soles of the shoes are very comfortable and sturdy. They are what makes Teva such an important sandal. However, the material and design on top of the sandal does not give and if your feet swell then it makes for a most uncomfortable shoe. I will go back to the Teva style that has adjustable crossovers and are made of a more comfortable and giving material.

There's no way to secure the strap from slipping and loosening. Annoying.

The shoes are true to size and are fairly comfortable, but the strap loosens as you walk even when tightened all the way. Despite this, the heel strap keeps the shoe on your feet even with the straps completely loose. They're fine as walking shoes though

Teva Ascona Cross Strap, 10, Black...strap buckle doesn't stay tight, needs constant adjustment. Day after I decided to keep the left strap rubbed a blister in the back of my ankle. Not great. Bought these to replace my well worn and loved Merrell Terran Convertible sandals which of course they don't make anymore :( I'll keep searching!

Love the look of this shoe! I don't like that there is only one point of adjustment, and the "clasp" doesn't hold the strap securely for any length of time.

These would be 10/10 if the top strap didnt come loose after trying them on for five minutes in my house. You can still wear them even with a loose top strap, yes, but why would you pay full price for an item that doesn't work correctly? Once they fix the strap staying in place, then i will reorder them. Returning for now.

I like the look of these, as they are not bulky like some of the other styles; however, they come loose as you walk. The clasp does not hold.

I ordered these sandals because they appeared to be fully adjustable but I couldn't see in the photo that the straps are sewed down. I don't know how to rate these sandals because they seem like they would be a great fit for someone else. I returned them, and Teva processed my refund promptly. Thank you.

I bought this product because I'd hoped for a strappier sandal than the Kirra, which I love. While the foot base is hard wearing and stable, for my foot, the sandal lacks the support I need as a mature woman with ankle issues. It's a lovely sandal and I do wear it. But find that the Kirra is best for the type of walking that I do. I save this sandal for when I'm less mobile.

I love the style of these sandals but I didn't realize that only one of the straps is adjustable. For my narrow feet I needed also the 2nd strap to be adjusted, otherwise the shoes slip on my feet. Which would not be comfortable for the long walking I was hoping to do with them!! Sadly they must go back and I will keep on searching. Thanks, Zappos, for your excellent customer service which makes it possible for me to try several pairs of shoes without penalties!!

These sandals were extremely comfortable, but the adjustable strap would not stay adjusted. I would only have to walk a few steps and the strap was loose. I was not happy to have to return them.

Well, as you narrow feet people know, there aren't many shoes out there in a narrow size. I THOUGHT these Tevas had adjustable straps so I could cinch them down to accommodate my skinny foot, and cut off the 10" excess :^( , but, alas, they weren't adjustable. So I'm sending them back. I'm sure, if they had fit, I would have given them at least four stars because it's been my experience that Tevas feel pretty good.

I've only worn them once and I am not pleased. As I walk the buckle loosens and causes the strap around the ankle to flap on my heal.

I really like this shoe for style, fit and comfort -- BUT the buckle does not keep the strap secure at all. It comes loose after a step or two and will not keep a good fit on the sandal. Submitting this review to encourage Teva to put a different buckle on this product.
