Very comfortable and they look great for all casual occasions.

Excellent comfort and fit for running and walking.

I'm a tall guy with wide feet so I constantly struggle to find a shoe that is comfortable and is of good quality. My wife brought me home a pair of Altra's about a year and a half ago and I've never looked back. I will never wear anything else from here on out. Altra shoes are perfect for my wide feet and they feel great.

My son is only 10 years old and has huge extra extra wide feet - And we haven't been able to find any shoes that fit him - he hates how tight they all are and it's been a major challenge for our family I am so grateful to have found these shoes! He slipped them right on and they felt great - there are is no more crying, screaming, complaining and/or fighting about wearing shoes - we will only be buying altra xxwide from now on!!

I bought a second pair for my second home. Love the large toe box.

I have used the Altra Lone Peak 5 for short runs thus far and mostly pavement. I am rehabbing a knee and I feel the zero drop configuration has helped alter my running gait to more mid-foot striking. The balanced cushioning, roomy toe box (lateral and vertical), and the air vents provide for a top notch comfortable ride that still allows me to feel in control of my foot. Very nice so far!

Took them on two back-to-back day hikes and they held up great! Break-in period is similar to other running shoes -- for me, that's ready-to-go strainght from the box. Washed them in the bathtub after hiking and let them air dry overnight, reinserted the insoles, laced them up, and they were dry, clean, and ready to wear out the door.

I had some foot surgery a year ago & have a chronically swollen great toe. I've had trouble finding shoes with a large enough toe box ever since -- even purchasing WIDE shoes. These shoes have a toe box in the shape of my foot with plenty of room. They are now my favorite shoes!

Runs about 1/2 size larger than my Torin 5's but, other than that, is an outstanding trail shoe. Wore them for the TableRock Ultra 50K and they performed great. Lots of vertical and 15ish stream crossings and they were comfortable with no blistering. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have flat feet so most shoes hurt until broken in. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. No pain from the get. The first actually wide shoe that isn't too roomy on the inside. The lone peak fours, I began to wear everyday for work this summer. Needless to say it was an easy choice to come back.

I converted to Altra running shoes and have to say they are by far the most comfortable shoe I have owned. The Lone Peak line for trail running and or hiking are solid and true. Overall durability of the sole and body far outweigh any other shoe on the market!

This is my second pair of lone peaks, first pair was a 4.5 amd my current pair is the 5.0. I absolutely love them! This past week I wore them on a 40 mile nackpacking trip without breaking them in. They were an absolute joy to wear! 40 miles backpacking in the mountains with almost 6,500 feet of elevation gain; NO BLISTERS AT ALL. Last year I did the same with my 4.5's; 50 miles without breaking them in beforehand, still no blisters. Lone peaks for the win! Will forever buy them!

Lots of dog walks and disc golf. These work great and my wife loves how they look.

The switch to EgoFoam is an absolute homerun. The shoe performs extremely well on rocky San Juan Mountain trails and provides firm reliable cushioning while letting the body keep its natural gait

I wear these every day. They are the best shoes I've ever owned.

Amazing shoe for hiking anything you can throw at it. The size was a half to at least a full size larger. Altra is top notch!

In the past I kept blowing out the right side and knew I could use something just a tad bit wider but did not want to switch shoes. The wide's have been great for me. No side blowouts and this has been the most trails miles I have put on in any past year. This is also some of the most difficult trail miles for me. They are also the lightest Lone Peaks I have owned yet and drain very well. I have not one fault with these.

This is my third pair on Lone Peaks and they have served me very well at each iteration. I definitely recommend them for comfort and support.

I run trail marathons. Wide toe box, air vents, claw traction for hills. It is so comfortable, I'll probably buy a 2nd pair after this pair goes. Excellent design.
