Order # W1046913271. Received my Nova 2's on June 24th and the webbing around top of each shoe immediately started to fray and continues to do so. Shoes are only about a month old! They are very comfortable however expected better quality material from Merrill.

I'd worn Merrells for a long time but had worn Keens for a while. I don't remember why I switched, as I always found Merrells comfy. I've had their hikers, sneakers, dress shoes, boots, etc. I decided to go back to Merrells as I got sick of the huge, steel toe cap look of all Keens, and I bought these and the Merrell slip-on Clouds. The Clouds fit well and don't move on my feet. These Nova 2s have a strange fabric in the heel that is like burlap and no matter how tightly I tie them my heel moves up and down causing horrible blisters if I walk any distance at all. I have to stop every hundred feet or so to try to move my foot back in the shoes so my heel sits snugly against the back of the shoe. Who wants to do that? These shoes are the same size as the slip-on Clouds, both are the same size I always get, and seem fit perfectly so I can't understand why my heels move, other than the massive padding around the top of the shoe sitting snugly against my achilles tendon, causing a gap by the heel. I guess I'm going back to Keen hikers, as these Merrells are not at all what I remember. Merrells used to fit perfectly, snugly, and always gave my feet great comfort. Not these. I might as well take a belt sander to my heels. I am so disappointed in these. I keep thinking I'd try them again, only to wind up with blisters again (after buying blister heeling pads and letting them fully heal before trying these again). No other shoe does this to me, and I always tie my shoes, so it's not from walking around in floppy, untied shoes. These just seem poorly designed. The combination of the rough fabric and oversized padding make them a torture device instead of the comfy shoes I remembered always having. I guess it's back to Keens or LL Bean shoes I go!

Sizing with Merrill has always been really inconsistent, but the 14 in these shoes is really really small and the 15 is huge there's a good two or three sizes between those two shoes in my opinion.

Shoe length and width runs a minimum one half size small from previously purchased Merrill shoes. I returned shoes without reordering, hoping to try on a pair before purchasing.
