I would love to give 5 stars however the insoles keep moving towards the heel of the shoe. It started on the first long walk that I took (6 miles). Thank goodness for duct tape.

I’ve owned three pairs of Merrill shoes, and I have found them to be very well-built. comfortable, and they last a long time. I ordered a pair of Nova 2s in size 13 but they were too big, and size 12 is too small, and unfortunately they don’t come in size 12.5 (come on shoe manufacturers, why do you always stop making half sizes at 12 and above?) I went with a 12 wide, which for my foot is a little too wide but it did mean they fit in the toe much better. I’ve worn them on a 3 mile walk so far, and they feel great, despite being a little roomier than my other shoes. If you’re wearing a thick sock and you have a less than very thick or wide foot these would probably be fine to make up for the fact that they don’t have a 12.5. Overall, I think it was a great purchase.

I love my Merrels because of the wider toe box. These seem a bit narrower than most though. Still a great shoe and the colors are awesome!!!

I like the shoes a lot. They look good, are relatively light, and well ventilated. Good shoes for hiking and casual biking. My one criticism is that in my opinion, Merrell skimped on the length of the laces. For my size (11M), the laces should be 3-5 inches longer.

Color was expecting camouflage in both & wasn't. Expecting more grey on black shoes. Also was wanting Gray or blue in wide. Couldn't get in wide in those colors. Hubby didn't like either color but said, "he could live with." Fit was good.

These are cool great shoes. Comfy and good looking. Functional but nice looking - more so than a "sneaker". But the insoles are atrocious. Thin, useless and come out every time I remove my foot. So cheap and useless. Merrill has apparently started cutting corners? But still 4 stars but I'll have to buy real Insoles

Great fitting shoe for wide feet. I wear a triple e shoe and these fit perfectly. They're new as of yet but quality seems to be good and the vibram sole is sturdy with a decent amount of cusion.
I gave 4 stars as the laces are very smooth and slippery so they come untied a fair bit. I would also like to see another colour option or two. Only black available in the wide fit.
Overall a great shoe.

Really wanted this shoe to work but to tight mid foot/instep. I’ve been going to Merrell for hiking shoes in wide so I thought these could work. No such luck. I do take a extra wide in other shoes but thought since their other wides fit these would also. Nice shoes.

Love the look of these shoes, and they're quite comfy but only after I swapped in some heftier insoles. With some of those in there, I've been wearing these tons!

I walked, hiked, and jogged with these on city streets and moderately steep and rugged trails on Tenerife and La Gomera. They held up nicely and gripped the pavement/terrain, although the interior of the shoe is a bit slippery, so my foot would slide sideways when cornering, and my toes jammed forward into the box on descents. Overall satisfied, considering I pushed them a bit beyond their intended function.

Wore my Merrell Nova 2 trail runners for a four mile walk yesterday to see if there were any hot spots. They fit perfect right out of the box. Then today I wore them on an eight mile hike. Again, no problems with the fit. Very pleased. They are light and comfortable.

Very supportive shoe but would prefer greater width to allow for a natural forefoot arch and toe splay.

So far so good (wearing them for a month). Comfortable and durable! Only 4 because I don't love the look but I do love the shoes

These shoes are great for running on trails OR paved roads (which is what I use them for). Only reason for 4 stars is I wish the soles weren't as firm as they are. They would benefit from a bit more cushioning.

I bought these shoes because the weather was getting too hot for my winter shoes ( Men's ColdPack Ice+ Moc Waterproof J49821 )
I walk 6~8 per day on paved or groomed trails. These shoes are great for that.
But I took them on a 10 mile hike, half of which was smooth packed dirt, the other half was various sizes of rock. Around the 8.5 mile mark I noticed the soles of my feet felt noticeably painful and bruised feeling. My winter shoes, on a similar hike, did not have this problem.
So these Nova 2's aren't going on the trail anymore but will be used for my daily walking.
Just a design comment, the dark side of the sole has lighter colors of grey flecked into it. I don't like that as it looks like mud speckles.

Very nice looking, and comfortable, only took one star off because I had to remove the insole on one shoe to fit my mobility aid (I have paralysis) and despite them being wide enough and the orthotic fitting in the shoe, I cannot wear these for long as my foot swells up and becomes extremely painful in the ankle and parts I do have feeling, so unfortunately I can't use them for what I intended to and only short trips. If you don't have my issue, a great choice! Unfortunately for me, I am now stuck with shoes I can't really wear.

I love these shoes. Super comfortable. Great grip, and good stability. And I love the colors. My only wish is that they were waterproof. Also, I have narrow feet and they fit perfectly. Overall, I'm very happy with these.

I recently purchased the Merrell Nova 2. They are very comfortable and attractive! They are the first shoes I really liked in a long time. I plan to order more in case they're ever discontinued.

The roomy toe box, comfy insoles and the traction of this shoe deliver! Great grip on uneven rock and slippery mud thanks to the offset lugs. Have owned for about 1 month now and run daily. The shoes are holding up great although there has been some separation of the sole where it attached to the shoe. Nothing a little super glue couldn't fix! Great shoes!

I bought this last spring and I'm here for a new pair this year. I did over 200 miles in this sneaker last year, about 50 in Desolation Wilderness, 50 in the Trinities, and over 100 in SeKi including the High Sierra Trail to the top of Whitney. The middle vibrant never let me down, I lost about a half inch of the outer lugs from Junction Meadow to Guitar Lake but it didn't really affect the shoes performance on to the Summit of Whitney. This was my final big hike of the summer and was already over 200miles logged in the shoes. They dry quick, fit perfect(the Moab Ventilator has too small a heel cup for me and kills my player at the front of my heel but not this sneaker), enough room in the toe box, laces are perfect, comfy padding, never slipped on a rock wet or dry. I didn't get a single blister in over 200 miles with a forty pound backpack. For reference I'm a 51 year old male and weigh 195lbs( at the beginning of a hike). I'd give it five stars if the vibram sole was one whole piece and the little bit of the outer tread didn't tear. Make no mistake this is a great hiking sneaker and I put it through the ringer in all kinds of terrain.
