I used to alternate between these and the Trail Glove 6 on my daily runs. I have now been leaning towards the Vapor Glove 5 on my road and track runs for their lighter weight.

Absolutely love these shoes. I wear them everywhere for everything. Workouts, casual outings, short runs, biking, you name it. They've held up very well compared to my vivobarefoots which cost twice as much and fell apart. Merrill please bring this style back!

I've been shopping for barefoot shoes for almost a year. Trying to decide what my needs are from the shoe. I looked at a lot of different brands I was unfamiliar with before deciding to stick with a brand I've used for over 20 years and never been disappointed. The vapor glove 5 was everything I was looking for in a minimalist shoe for half the price of some of the other brands. It helps me feel connected to the ground I'm running on while giving me the traction I need, even on loose dirt and inclines. I barely notice I'm wearing a shoe at all. I honestly can't think of one thing I would like to see improved. Maybe some kind of odor controlling material as I wear them with no socks, they are starting to have an odor. I was thinking about tossing them in the washing machine.

A very comfortable form fitting shoe that allows you to feel your feet as you walk.

Super comfortable and light weight. I could own more than one of these shoes for different uses. I hate being barefoot, but these shoes are like being barefoot with a lightweight shoe is on your feet.

I am a pastor and was searching for lightweight and comfortable shoes that would standup against the 10,000 step mornings (and typical 10 fights of stairs) I have in preparation for our services. I am very pleased!

I love that I'm walking barefoot feeling, while enjoying the safety of shoes on my feet. Worked out perfect for summers in Asia... you know with sweaty feet and all. Haven't tried it for hiking etc. yet, but already a fan.

I was intrigued by the look and concept of the trail glove and decided to give them a try and ordered a pair. When I opened the box and picked one up, I was surprised at how light they were. When I put them on, they fit very well, and almost seemed like another layer of tough, yet pliable skin on my feet. I first tried a short walk around the block, and found the shoes did not give my 240 pounds the cushion I had hoped for. I then went to a nearby trail and was happy to see how well they performed on a dirt trail in the forest. Almost like walking barefoot, but with support and protection. In addition to looking good, their understated profile made my size 13 feet look less massive. They do provide a snug fit, so next pair I'll buy a half size bigger. Very satisfied with this purchase. Once again, Merrell did not disappoint.

Great shoe for everyday wear. Since purchasing a similar model many years ago, I have ONLY worn Merrells since. Work boots, Vibram/Merrell, daily shoe, Merrell Chameleon, and these for sports. I had always had some foot issue with wide, flat feet. Preference is going barefoot, but the Merrells feel like I am barefoot.

These are fantastic, light, and easy-to-wear shoes. While they are not as bare as other barefoot shoes, I find them to be better. I find that Merrell also has true-to-fit sizing, which is why this is my third pair of barefoot shoes from Merrell.

This is a great shoe if you like the bare minimum, and I do. First thing I noticed was how comfortable and light they felt right out of the box, no break-in required. It's wider in the toe box, conforms to the foot very well and breathes. I'm still putting the Vapor Glove 5s through their paces, but I have to say they are a great shoe for different types of training or just kicking around, and the price was hard to beat. Looking forward to trying the Vapor Glove 6s soon. Highly recommended

They fit like a glove, allows the foot to breathe, and is very minimalistic in design.

Love these for working out. The stability and responsiveness really increase my confidence under weight. I bought two of the kids pairs for my boys and they love them as well!

This is a great overall shoe for what it is meant to do. That being to act as a sort of "hiking slipper." It is great for driving and small efforts. It runs smallish. I am also appreciative of the fact that when I ordered a shoe that was a bit to small, the Merrell folks were great about getting it exchanged.

These are nice shoes. Comfortable and lightweight. If this is your first time getting something like this , it is an adjustment getting used to the feel. If you plan on wearing these without socks, depending on your activities you might want to go a half size smaller. I'm using these in place of sandals where I have to drive long distances. Mainly for lounging in. No hiking or running. Only thing I'm not liking is that the laces seem to be longer than necessary.

Flexible easy to use for any outdoor and indoor ise

I had foot surgery and my nurse and doctor recommended I wear Vapor Glove 5. I brought one pair. I wore them during physical therapy and after. It has been 3 years. My one pair is worn out. I had to replace them. I brought 2 new pair. This is an excellent shoe for every day wear and comfort.

The Vapor Glove 4 were my first and the 5's are a bit better. I like how the sole isnt wrapped across the toe (compared to the VG4), though I do prefer the flat laces of the 4. The round laces of the 5 are good. No issues, just preference.

Excellent fit and quality. Soles are super grippy.

I did Barre class with bare feet for years but my skin has become too sensitive. Wearing the Vapor provides a thin barrier to protect the skin, but still allow the feet flexibility to fully move with the poses (like the difference between wearing garden gloves to trim the hedges/pull weeds, instead of doing it bare handed...). The Vapor should work well for yoga too, but I haven't tried them in those classes yet.

Feels like a moccasin. Barefoot is the best. The soles are amazing and almost sticky on ice and snow. Warm. High quality zippers. Easy on and off.

I've been running in Vapors since they were first released. Yeah, the latest version has a bit more of a foot bed than earlier versions. But that is goodness for this older runner. This is far and away still my favorite running shoe! I run in a pair now with 2 new pair ready and waiting. I still wish the uppers lasted a bit longer but everything else outweighs that downside. Love em!

Great shoes, love em! Very thin soles and very light. Took me 2 tries to get the right size.
