Purchased these shoes after hearing about them from fellow runners and I must say, they are the best running shoes I ever had. I run 2-3 times a week about 3-6 miles, nothing serious, but these are awesome.

1. Enough with the over extended heel. But it doesn't look bad in the Mach 4.
2. I love my Rincons.....but these just took over , love the shoe
3. Rincons, Clifton, and Mach 4 toe box has just enough toe room. No other HOKA shoe I've tried has that. Have not tried the Carbon Fibre plated shoes except for the rocket x. That was like a brick

These are in my opinion 2021 shoe of the year. Light, durable and lockdown is amazing.

This shoe has enough cushion to keep your legs fresh after a heavy week of mileage. But with the rubberized outsole it had enough responsiveness to go fast when you need it, without making it seem like your using more effort than normal. This shoe truly does it all. Amazing cushion and responsiveness all in one. And if you have concerns about the shoe laces being long, don't worry, They might be like a tad longer than some shoelaces but they're not an issue. If your on the edge of this and another shoe, just go with this shoe.

I am a first-time Hoka One One customer. I've run in Asics and Brooks shoes for the past decade+. I've taken 3 runs in these shoes and I think I've found my new lightweight, cushioned trainer. Downhills have taken their toll over the years and I need more cushion to keep training, but I generally don't like the weight that comes with some of the more heavily cushioned offerings. I am looking forward to seeing how they feel in another month's time.

1st time Hoka purchaser. 1st time running in these shoes I ran a PR on my 5K time by 35 seconds and have been getting new PR's ever since. The shoes are extremely light and propel you forward with every stride. Best pair of running shoes I've owned. Would recommend these to anyone.

This is my first pair of Hoka's, and the build quality right out of the box was very impressive. After my first run in them
I was even more sold on the brand. No hot spots, great lockdown, they felt so great I PR'd my route. I purchased these in the beginning of March and now own Clifton's and Torrents as well.

I'm not a natural runner. At 46 and 6'2" and a 205 lb frame these shoes felt so supportive yet unbelievably light. I set a PR in them the first time out not even trying. Don't over think it.

My favorite shoe now. Just did a half marathon in them and I am 60. They feel great with no hot spots, etc. very comfortable and do not feel like the traditional HOKAs I have tried in the past. I hope they do not drastically change the shoe in a year which so often seems to be the case now. Have tried Saucony, Nike and ASICS recently trying to find the right shoe and love those.

Love the Mach 4! I switch between the Rincon, Clifton 7 and Mach 4. The Mach 4 has become my daily trainer. Have run a variety of terrains with no issues, shoe holds up well!! Thank you Hoka for another great shoe!!

Always been intrigued with the HOKA brand, I'm a ASICS fan boy. Narrowed it down to the Clifton and Mach 4, i picked the mach and I'm very satisfied. The shoe has been awesome a very stable and comfortable running shoe

Coming off of an injury, I got myself back to running in the Bondi 7, but wanted something to pick up the pace and feel the road a little more. I ran in the Clifton 7 for a few weeks and couldn't take the change in the upper and heel fit. Enter the Mach 4 any these shoes are amazing. After 70 miles things feel smooth and shoes are still responsive just like day 1. I've ran in every version of the Clifton, every version of the challenger atr, Speedgoat, Stinson, tracer, and Bondi 5 and 7, but now the Mach 4 are the best so far. Got to figure out which shoes will be perfect for that next road 100 miler.

Nimble for fast run days but comfy enough for the easy days. Great fit, might try half size down next time.

I've tried many of the Hoka line of running shoes and from my early runs can say I like the Mach 4 even better than my Rincon 2 which I didn't think was possible. I am an older, injury ridden (knee and ankle surgeries) so cannot run like I did when I was in my 20's. But the Mach 4 provides me with the support and stability I find in the Rincon 2 but (in my assessment) a better connection and energy response with my running surface.

Found the cushioning and lightweight to be exceptional for longer distance runs.
Fits slightly narrow, tongue of shoe makes for good fit.

Just the right balance between stability an cushion. Excellent return of energy when running in this shoe. This is by far the best Hoka shoe I have run in. I've got around 100 miles on it, and they seem to be wearing well at this point. Excellent shoe!

The Mach 4 is an excellently-executed combination of favorite Hoka attributes like lightweight materials, good cushioning and a rocker design. It hits a sweet spot between the Clifton and Rincon. The step-in feel is accommodating without being overly plush, and the upper material is a definite step up from the Rincon but feels notably more refined and dialed-in than the Clifton. Fun on speedier efforts but comfortable enough for longer days, too. The exposed foam outsole seems like a potential weakness in terms of durability (similar to Rincon), but overall I think this one really works.
