I work in a warehouse store and I'm on concrete all day. I walk around 5 miles at work. These shoes have really minimized the pain in my back and feet.

"D" seems a bit more narrow and tighter compared to other running shoes, as it pressing against small toe. I have not had this issue with other running shoes--perhaps a break in period is needed. I adjusted laces for 1 foot and will see if this works--if not will return them within 30 day tryout window.

The shoe is very well made. I bought this style because I lift weights and do non-running cardio (had both knees replaced). Because it's not a running shoe, the sole is thicker and more reinforced. I like that for weight training but don't "love it" for elliptical and step machines.

Perfect fit! Ordered wide shoes in my usual size and they are a perfect fit. Have only had them a few days and after each run my feet are in some serious pain. I am hoping they just need to be broken in because it is difficult for me to find shoes that fit properly.

I have been wearing Bondi cushioned shoes for last two years... which got me into a little trouble because I have always worn "support" running shoes. (Aasics Kayona) To fix the pain in my hips and back, I switched to these for support. I miss the soft ride of the Bondi, but you can't have firm support and soft at the same time. The Gaviota is slowly repairing the damage.. but I wish that they were softer to land on each step of the way

These shoes are quite comfy. I haven't don't a whole lot in them yet, but a few three mile walks, and work. I like how much cushion they have, I tried the Bondi's I think, and they were too firm. Even though these have a softer sole, they still hold my feet well, the toes don't slide back and forth, good support all the way around.

My wife bought these for my when I started a new job. They were a surprise and I laughed when I saw them because of the "platform" style sole. I was literally 2" taller when I put them on. But oh my gosh...they do exactly what they were made to do. I work doing retail inventory and inspections so I'm on my up to 10 hours a day for at least 3 days a week. These shoes have made a world of difference in my day to day activities. At 50+ years old I have no problem walking around all day without the nagging aches and pains of constantly being on my feet because of these shoes. I have wide feet so she ordered these to help with that; they are still a bit too narrow so I have to wear thin socks and they are feeling better the more I break them in. The heel of this shoe does not rub on the back of my foot at all. There is enough cushion in them to keep my feet from getting sore and I don't feel the concrete floor at all. My feet don't feel hot or sweaty after wearing them for hours at a time. She also ordered the recovery slippers for me because the carpeting/padding in hotels is not the most comfortable and I don't usually walk around barefooted....icing on the cake! I've asked her to get me another pair of sneakers.

As somebody who deals with a fair amount of foot pain due to high arches, these things have been really outstanding for me. I wish they could look a little less "dadshoesish" but such is life.

I heard that these ran large so I ordered a half size down. My toes had barely enough room. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the next half size up, so I had to order from somewhere else. I think what was meant is that they run wide. They are a good width for my feet, however.
However, besides this issue, the shoes have great support and chonky style. I never wanted to take them off. About half the ppl at work wear these daily and I’m excited to join the crowd!

I heard about these through a friend and wanted something super plush. I went with the Gaviota wide based on the measurements from the website. They were a little snug. I could tell they would be comfortable, but I sent them back and switched to the Bondi in my usual size, but wide, which fit much better and are even more plush feeling.

very pleased with the shoes. However of the little webbing strap in the back used to pull the shoe on broke the first time that I put them on. I just cut the other side and removed it. Otherwise very pleased.

ran narrow but I expected that so I went up a half size with the double E width. Still kinda tight but they are going to fit with a little more break in time.

Love the shoe and comfort! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the sole has started separating.

I collected sneakers for years. This shoe is lightweight and stylish for Hokas because most models don't look good Imo. I have plantar fasciitis and mortons neuroma in my foot and have been limited to sitting at work currently. Ive been wearing them for light use. Even using these a bit at work walking I still feel sore in my feet sometimes and they are very thick cushioning which Is what I need and why I purchased. I just feel like for the quality and materials used I paid 170 for a shoe worth about 100-120. Ill evaluate how they feel in time and if I come back to Hoka. They take a few wears to break in fyi

I pronate badly, and these are good for stability. Unfortunately, the are not as comfy as I'd expect from Hoka, and they squeak!
