Bought these for a hiking trip, I walked 2 miles and developed plantar fasciitis in my left foot. They look great and feel light, but they destroyed my feet. I wear a size 13 in brooks and these 12.5 fit perfect.

Liked the look when a friend wore them on a serious 10-day hiking trip. Decided to try pair. I'm shorter and smaller, so the fit wasn't right for me. Ankle too high, heel too wide. Comfortable footbed and heel strike. Liked design details. Just too much shoe for me (and a bit too expensive).

The heel extension looks longer than in the pictures. Very awkward looking.

Fit recommendations are inaccurate - shoe is too narrow, and arch support is too high. These factors should be indicated in description of shoe. I ordered up one size from recommended fit and still had the problem described - had to return item

For some reason these did not fit. One shoe was too small after years of wearing other Hokas perfectly. Very disappointing because theyre very expensive.

Fit was Ok but seemed small and narrow about a half size. Virtually no arch support and when I put orthotics in them the fit was to small. I was going to order a half size up but while wearing them I found the extended heel to be quite cumbersome. Going down stairs your foot was in an awkward place compared to normal, this was true on hikes also, you will have to relearn how to place your feet further away from objects. The extended heel also forced my foot down into a flat position quite early when walking with a longer gate. I suppose you can become accustomed to all of this but unless this is your only pair of shoes you will always have a bit of awkwardness. I would stay away, in my opinion these shoes are a gimmick and just another way for a company to overcharge for a product. Mine were returned.

Any shoe that comes with disclaimers ("..don't use these to drive or use stairs...") probably shouldn't be sold. I drove fine but I did trip coming down stairs when the over-extended "tail" at the back of the shoe got caught. You would never want to use these shoes for bouldering, hiking through brush or scree - that back tail will always be a problem if not flat out dangerous. The shoe was typical Hoka "springy". However, the fit was a little "sloppy". I've had two pairs of Kaha Sky and I liked them more (but also like all Hokas, the sole wears out crazy fast). Overall - disappointed.

Disappointed. If you are good at snow shoeing, you'll be good at wearing these and navigating the dangerously overextended rear heel. The shoe soles are also crazy wide. In theory, it creates a nice stable platform. But in practice, it takes practice to keep from stepping on yourself. Hoka warns against driving with these and going down stairs (because of the extended heel). Driving was fine. But going down stairs was dangerous. I could have forgiven (?) all of these if the shoes were more shock absorbing. I know I'm in the minority here, but I was expecting a more plush (Hoka calls it plush) experience. My arthritic knee was not happy. The stock innersole is cheap. Really? For $260? The uppers seem to be well made. I had the Sky Kaha hiking boots and while I destroyed the soles in three months, the uppers were very well made and the boot totally waterproof! I would expect the same of this shoe. Personally, it's back to running shoes with a spenco inner sole.

This is the 3rd pair of Hoka boots that I've owned in a short period of time.. The first 2 pairs (both Kahas) Had defects in them. The first pair of kahas had an issue with the sole detaching from the shoe. (I should insert here not good customer service) I was told by someone there in customer service that I would need to return the damaged pair , and at that point, they would send me a new pair of shoes. The only problem here is that these shoes are for my job to which I have to wear said shoes to daily. I was told by customer service that they advised that I "buy a cheap pair to hold me over until the new ones make it to your doorstep" So now I have to go spend money, To buy shoes, so I can send them the damaged ones. At no point in time did anyone seem genuinely concerned for my issue, or any issues for that matter. After returning the second pair of Kahas, I thought maybe I'd give These TENNINE a try(and luckily I still had my trusty pair of shoes that I bought for backups. So now I have the TENNINE boots and they seem very comfortable, but much to my chagrin , After wearing them for only 2 weeks, the sole on bottom of the shoe at the heel of the foot had already began to peel off. I'm not doing anything overly aggressive while wearing these shoes, there's absolutely no excuse for this! So, after returning THE THIRD! pair of hokas, I didn't get a single "how can we make this right?" Or "I'm sorry for this experience" Nothing. Crickets They were very kind to explain to me how the return/exchange policy has changed and to review it for further reference. As if I would ever buy a pair of shoes from this company ever, EVER, again. I have multiple friends that were considering buying these boots as well, but after seeing all the problems that I had with the defects, they chose to go a different route. I wasn't and am not asking for a handlut, but at the very least they could have offered me a discount of literally any kind. ON -1 HOKA - 0

I purchased the Hiking Boots (TenNine) on 3/7/24 and received the boots shortly thereafter. I hiked the Camino (Spain) in June for 30 days and ~500 miles. The shoes literally wore out. I went through the process of trying to return/exchange only to be dismissed by a bot on their customer service texto. I had asked for a person to person call from a supervisor and that went into a black hole. I have purchased +10 various Hoka's over the recent years and they now have lost a loyalist and brand advocate.

1st Hoka Shoes that disappoints me, the design is unnecessary on sole putting extra width which make bit heavier too, and It's not comfortable for long hike, specially mountain hike, I have to return and replace it

I tested these shoes for long and hill hiking, but they were not comfortable enough. This is the first Hoka product that has disappointed me, not only in terms of comfort but also in appearance. The extra width in the sole is excessive. i have to return and replace this

Unlike the Hoka Anacapa that gives my tender feet new life, this hiker hurt my feet like other hiking boots. I was, however, very happy to get full credit when I returned within the 30 days.

I sent those back because I thought the photos miss representative what they actually look like. Not exactly sure why they have such big souls, I've never seen anything like it in my entire life

It's very satisfying, it's very comfortable to wear, it's too light and it's good enough to run a marathon, not climbing.

I really wanted to like this shoe. Unfortunately, it was not to be. Hubble heel kicks up too much dirt, pronated construction left the inside of my feet sore.

For me, the shoe/boot sloped too much to the front and I felt my forefoot was not supported. I returned the item.
